Great place, welcoming team, well lit, lots of inventory for running gear and shoes. Knowledgeable and friendly.

Definitely check this store out if you are looking for comfortable walking/running shoes. Staff is knowledgeable and they have a great selection with current styles. Mike was super helpful in making sure I got a pair of shoes that fit great! I love my Mizuno Wave Riders! There is also a nice apparel selection - I was happy to pick up two hats. :)

Amazing store! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great selection of shoes and other accessories for the road and trails. I was able to try on many different shoes before landing on my favorite brand, HOKA.

They host group runs on Wednesday and Saturday most weeks that have really helped me progress in my running journey. Coffee and snacks to follow on Saturday is a plus 😋

This is the most friendly running store in all SD! All of the staff are super helpful and will give you tips, advice, and encouragement! I have made the best running family through Black Hills running Company! Although you can find the best running shoes and gear you’ll ever need It’s way more than just a store. I will forever be grateful for the friendships it had brought me.

First time in today and they were friendly, super helpful and patient in helping select the right running shoe for myself. Will definitely be back and will be sending more people your way.

I have bought several things from this store and they have the absolute friendliest staff, an awesome selection of shoes, clothes, accessories and supplements for running that a person could need (and some items that I don’t need but really like). They are knowledgeable about their products and are always up on the latest and greatest.

They seem to have many group running events, training and nutrition classes for runners as well. Overall they have very good community involvement. And as an added bonus I can buy a cold beer there and chat with the staff about my run.

I also don’t get run out of the store, after being criticized about the car I’m driving, my political views or looked down at because I want a different color shoe, like another place I’ve been to.

They really are doing things the right way IMO, I’ll be a customer of this store forever!!!

From road to trail, they have everything you might need to get outside or inside. Great selection of hydration products. They also have nutrition products you might need for your longer runs. Watches, Bluetooth speakers, dog lights, human lights, you name it Black Hills Running Company, has you covered.

We had a great experience buying running shoes at Black Hills Running. The store has a wide variety to accommodate different running needs and styles. The staff was very helpful and directed me to the perfect shoe for my needs. Now one month later I am still immensely satisfied with the shoes.

Really friendly and helpful staff. Nice store with good selection of brands. Really liked their self branded gear. Feels like high quality stuff and much better priced then the Vuori’s, Lululemons, etc.

This is a great addition to Rapid City. I bought their brand of joggers and they feel like butter! You can tell that everything in the store is purposely selected. Great brands, really knowledgeable staff and a beautiful layout.
