Slash J Saloon

The Slash J Saloon is a must stop annually. The people are so nice and friendly. The place is always nice and clean. The food is top notched and not too expensive. The beef tips are to die fir! If you haven't stopped, you must try it. Oh, and they are really biker friendly.

Becca is the best waitress ever! Food is amazing. Prime Rib Wednesdays are our favorite.

Stopped in for the prime rib dinner.
Salad, Prime rib, baked potato, corn on the cob, toast,
All the food was done very well.
It was enough to fill me and I am not skinny.
Good service. Clean relaxed atmosphere.
Worth checking out with that special person.
The only reason I wouldn't recommend them is because it's so good a lot of people would be there.
But they are too good of a local business not too.

I thought we were going to a bar. They actually have a nice bar. What I was presently surprised with was the dining area, menu and quality of food. I highly recommend the sampler appetizer and the house made potato chips.

This bar/restaurant is the real deal not your up-scale brew-pub pretending to be rustic. Don't be put off if the mounted deer looks a little mangey or a motorcycle club shows up for dinner. The food is GREAT as long as you aren't looking for nouvelle cuisine.

I really enjoyed my night, There was a live band, the drinks were reasonable and the waitress was awesome! I didn't eat so I can't say anything about the food.. next time!

Went to Polaris of the Black Hills for service. We decided to go grab lunch while they worked on the SxS. We spotted Slash J Saloon from the interstate and decided to stop. I am so glad we did! The beers are cold, and the food was delicious! I got the Slash J Club sandwich with the homemade chips. So good. Sometimes a club sandwich can be dry. Not this one. The toast was crunchy, but not overly dry. Just the right amount of mayonnaise, and the ham and turkey were moist. The lettuce was crisp and cool. This could be the perfect club sandwich! The homemade chips were good, cooked perfect, but they could have used a little more of their signature seasoning. Looking forward to my next service at Polaris so I can go back!

I had the chicken dinner. Great fried chicken with fries. Everything was yummy. Pretty decent service. Good food. Cool place.
We had 5 people and it was really busy. We waited about 30-40 minutes for food but thanks to good company, it went by quickly.

Didn't charge the Sturgis prices just to get a burger! Really great food and prices for a little hidden spot off the highway. Will be going back!

It was a nice place to go! Great food and pretty cheap beer. It was busy, so it took the waitress a while to make her rounds. We will definitely be back.

We were riding OHV's and ended up in Piedmont, was a fun trail. Stopped for gas and something to eat. We walked in with 12 riders and there was a half dozen people there already, and I thought they would be upset being usually have a party that big try to call in advance. The server took good care of us, didn't have to wait much, everyone was happy with the food and extremely happy with the beer. If you order a tall it's a full quart mason jar. We are all definitely going back to this establishment again. Thanks so much.

Always love Slash J Saloon. Best chicken in the Black Hills, but entire menu is great too. Always great service, never leave without being glad I went.

Didn't get any drinks, but got takeout. I got the chicken sandwich and I'm not exaggerating when I say that it was the best crispy chicken sandwich I've ever had. It tasted so fresh and not heavy or anything like that. My sister got the Philly cheese steak and she loved it. Sweet potato fries are delicious. Their jalapeño poppers are made the right way (with cream cheese) and were sooo good, as well as the spicy corn fritters. And the bartenders were all very nice and friendly.

Awesome food for a great price and friendly service. It has a good hometown feel. Rustic decor with a relaxing atmosphere. Kid friendly until 9 pm when the kitchen closes and the party starts. Awesome full bar with fun activities. Daily food specials that are to die for and Wednesday night prime rib is yummy!! Locally owned and operated by a really great family.

Great food! Worth the drive we have to make. We love the staff, vary friendly and a great sense of humor, we always have fun when we are there. A+++
