Perkins Restaurant & Bakery

We were waited on by Melissa (I believe that is her name). She was very friendly, all smiles, checked on us a couple times during the meal. Menu didn't have the all-veggie omelet I like to order (unless you did the 99 cent per item omelet) so she suggested the one that everything including ham and replaced the ham with the veggie of my choice (avocado). Also, since I didn't want toast, she said she could do fresh fruit instead. No cost for substitutions which many restaurants do and the cook who prepared mine and my husband's breakfasts, did them perfectly. My only wish is that more restaurants would offer gluten sensitive items like toast and pancakes. I don't mind paying extra for that. However, like I said, the fresh fruit was a great option.

Thelma is such a great server! This is our favorite Perkins restaurant in the area. The wait is usually not so long at this location, some of the other locations tend to have a really long wait. This especially applies on Saturdays and Sundays. The kids love Perkins, the French toast and the pancakes are always really good. They also have good Belgian waffle options. We love the biscuits and gravy as well as the burgers and fries. The staff at this location always seems to be happy and the service is always good. It's always clean and well taken care of and the atmosphere is nice.

Enjoyed breakfast for dinner. Great selection of food! I chose the Build a breakfast so I could get sausage patties and tator tots with scrambled eggs and pancakes.
My Bro enjoyed the meal that had pancakes, French Toast, eggs, potatoes, bacon and sausage links.
Roomy restaurant with tables or booths.
Nice bakery. We got 3 blueberry ND 3 banana nut muffins.

I had country fried steak and it was mouthwateringly good. Thank you for great service, food, and prices!! I was there with some new friends and would definitely visit again. It's a no-frills place, and that's the only reason for the 4/5 in atmosphere. It was fairly quiet when I went for a late night dinner, but they still had guests and our food arrived quickly. We don't have Perkins diners where I'm from, and honestly--they're missing out.

Ist time doing a drive thru. These folks did everything spot on. The grounds and comfort buildings are beautiful and well kept. The animal experience was extraordinary. We had to keep your eyes peeled in order not to miss a lounging animal. Well supplied gift shop and snack bar. Great family outing dont miss it if your near Rapid City SD.

Had a great waitress after a tad bit of a wait. Salad, potato pancakes, pancakes and BLT were all fantastic. The best by far was the chocolate cake! Best cake I have had in a hot minute. Best of all no flies!!

I get breakfast here a lot and enjoy it every time. My waitresses are always wonderful and the coffee is good and strong. I enjoy the waffles with whip, eggs and bacon.

Took my Granddaughter for lunch yesterday and had a great meal. Shawn was our server and did a great job of taking care of us. They were out of the item that I originally wanted, but he was able to modify the order and get me something that turned out to be exactly what hit the spot. We are going back today and hope that it will be just as good. Would recommend wholeheartedly.

As always, Perkins never disappoints. Eggs Benedict was great, but my favorite is the potato pancakes. Superb as always. Clean, friendly, comfy location.

We had a great waitress who was super friendly, the food was great & the restaurant was very nice overall. Only issue was the waitress we had was trying to cover a ton of tables (seemed short staffed). Still giving it 5 stars though because of just how attentive the waitress still tried to be and how relatively quick the food came.

It was my first time at Perkins today. I ordered the Benedicts Eggs and it was delicious 😋. The environment was clean, the staff was pleasant and the ambiance was just right. Definitely will be going back!!!!!!!!

Met a friend and took up space for quite a while. Nice waitress, no hassle.

We had breakfast this morning and received the best service we have had in a long time! Jennifer was our server! Her personal service and friendliness made it apparent she loves her job!

I always go there after my concert and I really love there food

The Perkins on Rushmore road is one of my favorite restaurants in Rapid City, good food and service even to incredibly large groups. Their late night half price appetizers and pie are a lot of fun, especially when studying. Perkins is a nice, fun place to go with friends and family. They serve breakfast all day as well as burgers and food like that. They are also open very late.
