Visited with my partner and was blow away by the selection of vinyls! They truly have something for everyone. New, gently used and sale items, such a wide variety. Had quiet a few rare records as well! They also had CDs, DVDs, shirts, purses, books and metaphysical items. Staff was very friendly and the rewards plan is worth it, great discounts and you can use it at their other locations as well. I definitely recommend visiting if you're passing through or live there.

Great store, nice people, plenty of cool merchandise. If you need anything from skateboard parts to candles , gift ideas , lava lamps , records and record players or maybe you need smoking supplies they got that too! Highly recommend this store.

I was in the neighborhood and wanted to listen to some good old music passed by ernie november made a u turn and wow cool very cool look at pics and well you just have to look for yourself.
You wont find any Ultimate David Crowder or Mercy Me .
Just Metal ,punk some country but definitely a Hard and heavy rock place

Ernies is a great little shop. They have everything from albums to incense. If you're looking for some cool things, this place is a must stop

Somewhat unexpectedly found myself back in Rapid City with a few hours to spare and a list of two record shops. While most of Ernie's selection did not interest me (classic rock, metal, country), noteably, there were a few records by artists unfamiliar to me that really caught my attention (Calvin Keys and a few Colemine Records artists). As for the staff... cool, very welcoming, and generous. And although, this would not be my go-to Rapid City record shop (that remains Black Hills Vinyl), Ernie's does have a lot more to offer than vinyl records. There are plenty of CDs, incense, candles, pipes, clothing, posters, and I'm pretty sure I saw a selection of movies, so it's worth stopping in for "head shop" stuff and other entertainment media.

Came in here on a roadtrip higher than a hot air balloon and bought a grip of good-goods.

It was my first time in Ernies or any record shop in maybe 25 years. I have put together a (my opinion) nice stereo system for what I can afford . One of those components is a turn table. I lost my past stereo system to divorce. I am able now to start buying records/albums. Ernies reminds me of record stores from the 70's. I really love that atmosphere. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Comfortable setting, of products, and supplies, as some of the most sought after collection of music. All arranged for the young at heart

One of the coolest record stores I've ever visited hands down. Bought some of my favorite records there. They also have giant lava lamps. Very cool.

A shop from the 80's, YES!! They have all the odds and ends you can imagine.

They have all that I like and need. I would recommend any and all new customers.

Great for rare music CDs, vinyl, and TAPES! If there is music or apparel that you want that is not main stream, they have it. Polite staff.

I think Ernie's has been around in Rapid City for about as long as I have. The music selection is great and they keep adding new products. I love going there.

Also, if they don't happen to have the record you're looking for, they are super helpful in ordering it for you. I really appreciate that.

They had some of the most amazing stuff. I bought a one of a kind journal for my cousin and she loved it. The person was nice. Overall just a nice experience. Looking for unique gifts? Come here and you won't be disappointed.

Love love love this store! Cool stuff tucked away in no where Dakota and fabulous! Every visit over the seven years we lived there was a treat and the staff are awesome.
These guys have the BEST sandalwood incense I have ever burned, and I’m a connoisseur 😏
