Ore House at the Pine Grove - Steamboat Springs

Ore House is a star in Steamboat Springs. Had a reservation and was seated promptly. I ordered the pork chop with the blue cheese reduction. It was amazing. Delicious, moist and cooked to my liking. Highly recommend. The house potato is unique and tasty. The cinnamon rolls are excellent and the salad bar was a nice node to old school steakhouses. Josh was an exceptionally attentive and friendly waiter and he cared about the dining experience. Highly recommend when in Steamboat.

Our reservation was set for 8p. We were promptly seated when we arrived. The service was impeccable. I ordered the Steak Ore House (loin wrapped in bacon topped with crab). It was cooked to perfection. My wife ordered the prime rib which was also cooked to perfection. It was a delicious experience all around.

The food was delicious...recommend the elk & filet. The dessert was anazing. Shelby was a great waitress & entire staff was friendly.

Had dinner here with my sun, a chef. Had a great little salad bar, and great steaks. Yeast rolls and cinnamon rolls are starters. My son had the prime rib and I had steak tidbits. Both were excellent. Service was fabulous. Finished with a mudslide for dessert. It was to die for. Great ambience and we were seated next to a fireplace. One of the best in Colorado.

This place was great! The atmosphere was perfect for a place like steamboat. Springs. Western Mountain type decor. And the wait staff was incredible. they actually provided real service and they were friendly and very attentive. Old school steakhouse. The even have a salad bar with every entree

Arrived 10min early for our 6:45pm reservation on a Sat night and were seated immediately. Ordered the fresh salmon and beef tid bits with the rice, fries and broccoli. Even the included salad bar exceeded expectations. Staff was very attentive and an appropriate atmosphere with a little music but quiet enough to have a conversation. Thanks for the great evening. We will be back next time we are in town.

Very delicious foods, special steak, burger, salads & beer. Friendly staffs, price is acceptable. Highly recommended

came here for my birthday dinner and was very impressed. easily the best mountain steakhouse in the state! outstanding service, ambiance and food. we had the battered shrimp, perfectly medium rare 8oz elk loin and 6oz filet. well worth the cost considering the meat was cooked perfectly. dont leave without trying the house potato and hitting up the very fresh and very delicious salad bar. one more thing, they bring you cinnamon rolls with your dinner bread! chefs kiss*

Food was great! Atmosphere was great! Our waitress was very nice. We got the prime rib and filet. We also got the apple pie and mouse. Everything was great except the booth seats were very short.

SO GLAD we got try this place! Had reservations and had to bail last night; fortunately we succeeded with do-overs. 💃🏻

The food - prime, scallops, raspberry salmon - were all excellent. Ditto the baker, broccoli, and rice sides. The salad bar provided ample GOOD options, was clean, and well maintained.

That we “eat with our eyes first” was clearly recognized by the establishment as great care was taken in plating all items presented - including the cheesecake (also yum!).

Service was genuinely friendly, prompt, and very attentive from the outset - including the hostesses, “Bama” (bartender), the (runner/busser/another server ?) who delivered our food and later cleared our plates, to the “table greet” by the most sincere and gracious owner.

Prices were very reasonable, particularly when appreciating food quality, portions, service and setting.

The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. With the lighting, fireplace, dark wood, and windows it was the perfect setting tying together the whole experience. The ONLY thing that would make it better is if we weren’t traveling. Ore House…would definitely be a FREQUENT go-to!

One of the best meals we’ve ever had! Everything from the salad to the entrée was delicious. The bread and cinnamon rolls were a a tasty treat. Zach was our server, he was extremely kind and provided us with amazing customer service! If you are looking for a great steakhouse, we highly recommend this place.

Get the peppered elk loin or you’ll regret it. Cooked to perfection the peppered crust complemented the flavors of the meat beyond description. I’ll be thinking about that elk for quite some time I believe.

Went there on February 10th for fiance birthday we had reservations but they were slammed. We had to wait for a few extra minutes but the bartender was amazing and kept us involved until we were sat. Food was amazing house potato and mud pie dessert 👍. For being extremely busy due to the winter carnival it was great. We will be back for sure if in the area. Thank you very much for the birthday surprise.

Food was fresh and delicious! Wonderful salad bar, delicious yeast rolls & cinnamon rolls to start. Son go bacon wrapped filet with crab! Loved it! Salmon was fresh and tender, cooked to perfection!

They have the best prime rib in Steamboat and better than most in Denver. They make a proper blackened steak that isn't cooked past your desired order. Great au jus you could eat as a soup.

Really good prime rib at a great price. Also phenomenal service from our waiter Josh. If only more restaurants were this well run from top to bottom. Will absolutely be going back.

This place was great! Our server,Lindsey S, was so nice and was very understanding about our complete grump of a two year old. My husband ordered the Elk and I had the Ore house chicken. Both meals were great and the lingonberry sauce with the elk was very delicious. Even when my kiddos made a mess out of the rice in the floor, the gentleman said it was okay and not to worry about it. Finally, the overall ambiance was quaint and welcoming and the host stand were so kind in letting us explore the upstairs when my girls asked. Can’t say enough good things about our experience and will be visiting again! Thanks for a wonderful evening! We will be back again in the winter!

Passing through town on my 45th birthday. I wanted to spoil myself and they did just that! The restaurant is beautiful the food was fantastic. I'm actually thinking of coming back tomorrow just for the mud pie. It was amazing! My server was Eric and he was the best!

A great experience. We had the porterhouse and the Steak Ore House. Both were fantastic with a choice of 2 side and an amazing salad bar. Our service was top notch as well. Highly recommend.

Another recommendation of local friends and did not disappoint. Actually dined here two nights. Easy reservation system, friendly staff nice atmosphere and two delicious meals!
