City Market is pretty much a Twin to Kroger. Our Kroger member number worked when we entered it at checkout, so maybe Kroger & City Market are sister stores.
City Market is a good store, and even has a homey feel to it. The store was very clean, and laid out well. They put a lot of effort into decorating it, and added large fashionable signage over specific areas like Meat & Fish.
Everyone that we talked to was pleasant and helpful

Well stocked and maintained grocery store. Walked around it for a bit and was able to find everything I needed. Would definitely use again for my shopping needs.

This may be the nicest City Market I’ve ever been too; felt more like a Whole Foods than the City Markets I’m accustomed to. Expansive, clean, lots of organic food options, and in a beautiful area a mile from the Steamboat Mountain base

City market is an off shoot of Kroger and always has everything we need. Nice staff and clean store. Free cookies for kids in bakery and "driving carts" ever hurt either!

This review is specifically for the bakery. I bought my son's birthday cake a few days ago. This cake was INCREDIBLE. The chocolate cake was moist and the whipped vanilla icing was beyond decadent. This is the first time an entire sheet cake has been eaten in my house. We usually end up throwing half out, but not this one! Two thumbs up for the bakery!

This place is great. They always take good care of their customers and have an decent selection of organic products. A personal shout out to JAMIE in curbside pickup. I arrived and checked in on the app, but after 25 minutes of waiting I called to check in and see what was going on. Jamie informed me she saw I was on the way but the app did not let her know I had checked in. She promptly brought me my order and made things right for me having to wait. Thank you Jamie in curbside… you make this world a better place.

Rebecca C was an outstanding cashier. She was extremely helpful to the Hispanic woman in front of me (who clearly benefited from RC’s bilingual skills) and then she was very sweet and helpful to me - a middle aged, white man :) She should be commended for her superior effort and wonderful positive attitude.

As for the store itself, I’d give it 3.7 on 5 scale. Decent selection and decent cleanliness but nothing special, nothing memorable. And why for the love of G*d is PLAIN carbonated/“bubbly” water SO hard to find? Stop with the avalanche of flavored water please…

. My wife and I normally shop at the city market in Dillon. But they tend to screw up the order or are out of the product. The coils of online orders I placed at the Steamboat store were filed correctly. We may switch

Friendliest employees I've ever met at a franchise in my life!! Wish it was 24 hours, but I get why it's not. Don't recommend shopping here during the 5pm-7pm hours , ESPECIALLY during high volume tourist times(Friday afternoons, Saturdays, and midday Sundays.. Good luck finding a parking spot then

Priced pretty well and had everything we needed for a trip here! We we just before they were cutting open a new parmesan reggianno- an 85 pound cheese wedge. That was actually really cool to watch! We all got a small free sample and ended up buying some, and boy was it amazingly tasty!

The City Market is a very easy stop to get groceries and gifts. This evening being Christmas Eve I stopped in for a quick grab of groceries for dinner tonight. We're going to be having some steak fajitas and the selection of meet available made it easy to choose some thinly sliced meat that will be perfect. The variety of meats also lead me to getting a few slices of double smoked bacon! Each of these meat options costing me less than $5 and portions for my beautiful girlfriend and I to enjoy together. The employees were all so friendly and helpful, my first experience with this was entering the store to their smiling faces, as I went on leave behind the eggs and cheese section I came across an employee with a few orchids and other flowers. She had a beautiful orchid with a discounted price of $5.99!! I was sold instantly. The employees at the meat counter were very polite and helpful. We even joked about how she was misinformed about the closing hours but still happy to be there nonetheless. I proceeded on to the produce section where I saw a sale price on blueberries being 2 for $3! I was concerned that they were out because there weren't any in the display I was at so I asked the man stocking up if there were any available and he pointed me in the direction of the other display location where I grabbed a package, I didn't need to get 2 packages to receive the sale price on them either which is so great. as was leaving I came upon another amazing sale for giant plush animals, 50% off, the selection wasn't too great but I was still able to choose the flamingo instead of settling with a bear. It was only $12.50! Lastly, I was on my way out and remembered that I hadn't gotten a gingerbread house kit! So, I asked someone and they pointed me in the direction to get one. It was $8.99 but I can't remember the last time I made one and it'll be great to do with my ginger girlfriend. All in all I had nothing but a positive experience there. Thanks for reading!

We recommended a local floral shop in steamboat to my sister to make an arrangement for my daughter. They unfortunately did not tell us that they closed at 4:00 but did leave a message at 3:56 saying they would be closed at 4:00. Scrambling I headed to city market and found a surprising amount of options and quite affordable. Thanks for helping us make her feel special.

I think this City Market is the best store to shop. I love their extensive organic produce and the efforts that made to label healthy foods. Produce is in abundance and fresh, the bakery is outstanding and their (wedding) cakes can compete with the best of them.
Lucky we have this store in town.

This is a nice store. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. We only come to Steamboat Springs once a year at the end of August, but it's always good to come back to a familiar place. See you next year!

City Market: a great place to shop.

As a sometime manager, hands on healthcare worker and connoisseur of good service, I am constantly balancing "Character vs Competency," when deciding whether or not I'm going to continue shopping at certain businesses. For damn sure I'm not shopping anyplace that is not strong in at making me feel welcome, or at least being competent. The rarest thing to come across is someone who has an abundance of both of those things... City Market has a few peeps like that.

Torrey, and the rest of the pharmacy team have the best combination of competency, and people skills I've experienced the year and a half I've lived here. The one time I did have a problem there, Torrey and company quickly told me that "under NO circumstances do they want to lose me as a customer". If that's not love, I don't know what is. (It's a small town, we're neighbors; it's ok to show a lil neighborly love to your customers at the time.)

Just because Steamboat is ridiculously friendly and fun, you don't always have the same caliber of service. The majority of places you go are staffed with Ski/Hiking/Biking/Fishing fanatics... (I'm still here because I just can't leave God's Country, it's too incredible.) Many staffers have second, third, even four jobs to make ends meet. So, you're not as likely to get served by someone who cares as much about you or their job as you might expect. No, it's the amount fresh powder, high water, fall colors they are missing out on while at work... The pool of both qualified and competent people employers have to choose from is smaller than that of non-resort towns/cities like Steamy. To find the occasional person that ALSO exudes true caring and let you, the customer, know they care... That's rare.

Torrey and the team have never let me down, and Torrey always helps me find the cheapest deal on my prescriptions by going above and beyond what I thought pharmacies/pharmacists/pharmacy techs normally do. As a registered nurse I know a bit about how complicated her job navigating the byzantine mire that is a bureaucratic hell that becomes more complicated daily. Still, she makes it look damn easy.
Now that I know how good pharmacy service should be, I'm never going to settle for less again!

There are some other people I really like to see when I'm there as well... I know I'm going to leave with better food for dinner with their help. Berri and Brodie have both helped me, even though I didn't know I needed it. (I'm not normally one to want to ask for help at the grocery store... As single male just learning to cook however...) Well, Berrie and Brodie both came to me when it was obvious I was having trouble deciding what to buy. Both times, they gave me great advice, helped me save some $$$ and helped me make better meals.

I shop there every other day or so, and I have NEVER left in a worse mood than I came in with. Doesn't seem like much to say that, but I don't go shopping to improve my day regardless of how stellar or crappy it's been. When staff like Torrey consistently make it better anyway... I can't put that into words how rare that is.

City Market, a GREAT place to shop. Indeed.

Great shopping experience. It had all of the things we needed for dinner and more. Way better than the subpar walmart across the parking lot.
