This place was fantastic. First of all, we sat on the rooftop deck for dinner with beautiful views of steamboat springs all around us. Hard to beat! Secondly, the food was top-notch. We each took our servers recommendation on his favorite three tacos and they were delightful. lastly the service was excellent. The server on the rooftop deck seem to be running the whole thing which had to be seven or a tables and he was in control of everything. Great teamwork with runners bringing food and drinks while he handled the whole thing. Highly recommend!

5+ stars from me! My sister and I brought my 2y.o. here (yes we are brave) this past Saturday for a later lunch after the Chilifest downtown nearby. We sat on the rooftop and had the a phenomenal experience. We will definitely be back next time we come to Steamboat and we wont miss the margaritas, shrimp and veggie taco, queso, and guacamole. Our server was so kind and patient - wish I remember her name for this review.

Quit contemplating where you are going to eat…. Just go here! This spot is exactly what our family needed - amazing service, great selection, and delicious food. Prices were reasonable (especially the $4 happy hour tacos!). Will be back and can’t wait to try more of their delicious menu.

Amazing!! My wife and I went on New Years Day. It was busy because of the holiday but we were able to sit at the bar.

Our server at the bar (can’t recall his name) but he was Spanish. Super friendly! He really made us feel super welcome.

We got the chips and guac! A must!

My wife got the Spicy Jalapeño infused marg (Caliente) and I got the Mezcal cocktail (El Diablo). Both were honestly some of the best we’ve had.

Tacos were all great! We liked the Bison & Camerones Frito the best.

Finally, to finish it off, the churros are a must!

If you’re in Steamboat then you gotta stop here for a meal 🙌🏻

Fabulous upscale Mexican. Loved everything we shared. From the guacamole to the queso, fish tacos, pork, fish, and the best cocktails. Loved the vibe and delicious cocktails!

Perched in the picturesque setting of Steamboat Springs, Salt and Lime is a revelation to those of us who hail from Los Angeles, a city celebrated for its vibrant taco culture. This eatery, however, introduces a unique blend of familiar flavors with a Rocky Mountain twist.

Starting off with the queso fundido, it was reminiscent of delightful cheese experiences from Austin – a gooey, rich indulgence that sets the tone for the culinary journey ahead. For those with a hearty appetite, the fully loaded quesadilla is a must-try. Its generous size and ample fillings make it an ideal choice for those looking to truly satiate their hunger.

As someone who has savored the best of LA’s taco scene, I was pleasantly surprised by the eclectic range here. The Steak Popper taco, a gem from their seasonal menu, was a personal favorite, rivaled closely by the Camarunés Frito taco and the deeply flavorful Colorado Bison. This bison preparation, with hints of chili, cumin, garlic, and a generous sprinkle of paprika, seemed like an elevated tribute to the seasoned beef tacos I’ve relished back home.

The margaritas, too, were a delightful surprise. I opted for a seasonal concoction that seamlessly blended the tropical notes of POG and pineapple with the classic margarita essence. While it was a refreshing accompaniment to the spicy tacos, I found myself yearning for a spicier drink variant to complement the fiery flavors.

And then there’s the ambiance – the second-floor seating area offers a serene vantage point to take in the beauty of Steamboat Springs, adding to the overall dining experience. It’s a space that invites relaxation, a perfect setting to savor every bite and sip.

To sum it up, Salt and Lime in Steamboat Springs is where Californian taco nostalgia meets Colorado innovation. A must-visit for anyone craving a fresh perspective on a classic favorite.

I hope this revised review better captures the desired perspective!

Delicious food. Exceptional service. Terrific atmosphere. We came here on the recommendation of a friend and it did not disappoint! We particularly enjoyed the margaritas, chicken enchiladas, tacos, and churros.

Salt + Lime is my favorite please to eat in Steamboat when visiting to ski. The lucky 8 bison burrito is phenomenal as is the strawberry frozen marg. The lightly seasoned chips, various salsas, and delicious queso options are all great additions for a group meal. I highly recommend Salt & Lime to everyone coming to visit Steamboat who wants a delicious, filling meal with highly attentive service.

Great food. Great service. I had the Colorado Bison and Shrimp BLT tacos. She had Carne Asada and Chicken Tinga tacos. We both had cheesy rice (excellent). The guacamole was exceptional. Overall a great experience. Their drinks were very good as well.

To visit Steamboat Springs and not eat here would be a huge mistake! :)
The food is extremely good, all fresh, and delicious!
Even if you don’t like enchiladas, you will love theirs.
They make the churros from scratch!
Everybody is nice, and the general manager (ex-chef) is great!
A perfect meal after a long day!
Thank you Salt & Lime for the great time!

Get the barbacoa beef or chicken enchiladas. Our table always gets both whenever in town. ALSO, the staff is amazing and goes out of their way for you. Forgot a jacket and they worked with me to get it back no problem. Cheers to more snow and enchiladas!

Amazing place recommended to us by two separate couples who have previously been to steamboat springs. It most definitely exceeded our expectations! Delicious drinks, tacos, quesadillas, queso and more. Matt was our waiter and he was so patient with answering my son's questions and provided amazing service!

Really enjoy this place. Have eaten here twice in just a couple days. Every taco has been unique and tasty. Favorite is the fried fish Taco. Atmosphere is great, and you can sit on the roof on nice days and enjoy views of Steamboat.

Very impressed, especially in our post Covid era. They hit all the big 3’s = food, service, and atmosphere. Rooftop deck was wonderful at sunset. Everything we ate was delicious. We had the regular queso, tacos, BF loved the cheesy rice. The Dulce ice cream which was so good, not too overly sweet but flavor profile was delicious and texture was damn near perfect. Server (receipt said Tammi D) was sweet and kind to her busser. Will definitely be back when passing through again.

Everything about our lunch was fantastic. The vibe, the margaritas, and the tacos were all a 10/10. Our server Kim made fantastic recommendations to make our lunch even better. Seriously, she should be put in charge of writing the menu descriptions. We’ll definitely be back soon and hopefully in Kim’s section.

Lovely dining experience in the heart of steamboat springs. Had dinner during happy hour which meant $4 tacos. The food tasted as good as it looked. We had a variety of tacos and could not fault any of them. The spicy margarita had a serious bite to it, which I would highly recommend.
