The Egg Steamboat Springs

We visited for the first time on a Thursday morning before heading back to Texas. Glad we did. There was no wait, nice atmosphere and kind waiter. The food was plentiful. The waffle was especially delicious but the pork sausage not that great. The scrambled eggs were delish also. We enjoyed the local newspaper while we ate, which they had available.

My favorite brunch place at Steamboat Springs. I’ve been here twice now and it doesn’t disappoint. The food is delicious and the service is great. Highly recommend!

Our new favorite breakfast spot! We take an annual ski trip to Steamboat. We stumbled upon The Egg looking for something to eat before loading up supplies at the Safeway. Each person in our group of four ordered a different dish and drink--and everything was delicious. The lavender latte I had, which delightfully had dried lavender sprinkled on top, was exactly what I needed that morning. We're so glad we found this place and will definitely return every year!

2024 Update: Still the best breakfast in town! Visited twice during our week long trip. The lavender vanilla latte is DELICIOUS. I ordered the Hiker's Benedict with loaded ranch potatoes while my husband ordered the Breakfast Burrito with ranch potatoes. Portions were sizable and we both took home leftovers, which we enjoyed the next day before skiing.

The best breakfast we had during our trip. Excellent. Service was top notch despite several special requests to our order. Pricing is fair and portions are more than generous. Most of us had leftovers. Highly recommended, will return. Mountain rental shuttles may drop you at the door OR you can always get dropped at Safeway just around the corner.

Great food was prepared quickly. The veggie benedict was excellent, I surprisingly quite enjoyed the asparagus and artichoke in a benedict. They were somewhat busy but didn’t keep me waiting… in and out in 30 min.

Highly recommend stopping here for breakfast! Everything from the food to the service was awesome.

I had the Steak and Egg Skillet which was super good. Had the eggs sunny side with the English muffin, which worked out perfect. My wife had a HUGE banana and strawberry waffle, which my daughter helped finish after her kids French Toast.

If you're looking for breakfast in town, this is one of the best places (along with a couple others). Definitely worth a visit.

The Egg is THE place to get breakfast while visiting Steamboat Springs. The food is fantastic and the portions are large. You will not leave here hungry for more and you will have all the sustenance needed for a long day of outdoors activity.

On top of that, the price is right and the service is excellent. Our server gave my party recommendations and genuinely seemed happy to be there.

I will absolutely be back for more.

Absolutely loved this spot, we had the Cambridge Skillet and Strawberry Banana Waffle, both were lovely. Top-notch service, I think the owner even stopped by to check on everything. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town.

The Egg was the perfect destination for our Steamboat arrival breakfast. We drove over 14 hours for our pre-Christmas family vacation, and by 7am we were ravenous and ready for a good sit down meal. I came across The Egg doing a quick search on Yelp. I typically choose restaurants based on two things 1) Menu Selection and 2) Photos of Food and Inside the restaurant. The menu at The Egg offered a huge selection of food and beverages as well as options for modifications for those that are choosing healthier options and/or gluten free. We dined at The Egg on a weekday around 8am, and as a group of 7, we were seated right away. The host/hostess was friendly and accommodating for our large, over-tired, perhaps partially delirious group. There was a fun seasonal cafe/beverage menu that a few ordered from to get some caffeine in the body. There is also quite a selection of morning beverages to choose from as well. When we were all ready to order, everyone was able to order their meal to their personal specifications. I really appreciated that my gluten free sister was able to order herself a modified meal. Do yourself a favor and make sure to order a cinnamon roll to share with the table. It is big enough to share with 2-4 people, and comes to your table freshmade and warm. A few of the breakfast entrees ordered were: the breakfast burrito, biscuit & gravy with eggs, cambridge skillet, and athena scramble. Most of the entrees came with an option for a side, and I highly recommend the seasoned ranch potatoes. They are especially delicious, perhaps addicting. No one in our group ordered items from the lunch sandwich and salad options, but I could tell The Egg is also a great destination for lunch. Overall, our group was overly satisfied with our first meal in Steamboat Springs, and we will 100% be back in the future with The Egg a must on our travel itinerary.

This was a pretty great place to have breakfast. I got the eggs Benedict crab cake. The service was friendly and fast.

Definitely come here for breakfast and or lunch. Food just hits the spot. Home style like, The service is definitely there. Servers constantly coming and checking on you. Service is Quick they are not lacking that’s for sure. The atmosphere is clean and comfortable.

If you have ever been to a first watch restaurant, similar to that style of breakfast and lunch.

My husband and I came for breakfast this morning and Carlotta our server was amazing. She had good recommendations for fun things to do in the area and great service. I ordered the garden frittata and it’s one of the best breakfasts I’ve had. I wish I could come back more often.

Classic breakfast spot, the food was very tasty. I had the hikers Benedict and it was a tough choice with all the options on the menu. As good as the Benedict was I don’t think you could go wrong with anything. My friend had the egg and avocado sandwich and he said it was fantastic as well.

My 10 y/o son said he’d give this place 100 stars and I agreed with him, so I am posting this review for him. He ordered the pancake and I ordered the carnitas arepas. The arepa was so delicious that I would eat more than one if I could and the mimosa was very good. The pancakes and the waffles are so delicious too. Great food and service. Definitely coming back when we visit Steamboat again. I highly recommend this place!

Best breakfast in town. We enjoying it since 20years and it better each time

Delicious breakfast foods and very friendly staff and crew. I got the biscuits and gravy, with sausage on the side, and scrambled eggs with potato wedges. It was absolutely delicious. I got my friend’s food spilled on me by the server, and they didn’t do anything to compensate us for this little whoopsie. Not expected, but would have been nice. We also tried the fall juices, of kale and lime, and they were fantastic.

Surprisingly it was not that busy on a Sunday AM so it actually worked out for us so we could get a seat immediately. The service was good could have been a little more attentive, but not bad.

The food was solid. Nice size portions and everything we had was delicious. As many places on this trip given the time we will be back again.
