Dr Rosanne Iversen has been my doctor for 16 years and is outstanding, understanding, and an excellent diagnostician. She has a very good bedside manner both in the office and in the hospital. I have found that if she does not have the answer, she is on the phone to the doctor to whom I should go for further treatment and to make an appointment for me. This has led me to other great medical specialists. I have never been disappointed in her care for me. The other doctors in her practice always go to her notes to find what has worked for me when Rosanne is not available which is not often.

Dr. Iversen has been my primary care physician for almost eight years and I can say that she is the finest doctor of the many I have had in my transient life. She has provided me with great healthcare, wellness advice and helped to improve my mental state after the sudden death of my wife eight years ago. She really cares about my wellbeing and is strong in her conviction and advice in support of my health. I highly recommend Dr. Iversen.

Rosanne is one of the most personable doctors I've ever had. I usually don't go out of my way to write reviews, but feeling comfortable at the doc's office is a big deal for me. At my most recent appointment, she was only a week or so out of knee surgery and she was still laughing and chatting throughout the whole appointment! She loves all the same activities her fellow locals do and she incorporates that into her practice. Beyond that, she's also on top of her game. She prints my scripts off and has them signed at her front desk every month before I even remember to call in for them! Awesome woman, awesome doctor.

I've been seeing Dr. Iversen as my primary physician since she delivered my daughter 17 years ago and I feel so fortunate to have her and her practice as part of our community. I value her very thorough knowledge of medicine which results in care and treatment for an individual as a whole rather than treating parts and ailments individually.

I have had the pleasure with working with Dr. Iversen for the past 10 years, and no other provider in Steamboat Springs demonstrates a higher level of caring and expertise in Family Medicine.

Dr. I is fantastic. She tries hard to work WITH you and seems sincerely and extremely concerned about your issues. She is kind, patient, and thorough. I highly recommend her!

I feel bad writing a bad review because I love the staff at Steamboat Family Medicine. But I have changed my primary care to Steamboat Medical Group and I'm so glad I did. I have had so many TERRIBLE experiences with Dr. Iversen that it's hard to give anything more than 1 star. I apologize for the length, but I felt it was necessary to outline just a few of my bad experiences.

1) When I was younger, I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes (by Dr. Thielen at Steamboat Medical Group). I was transported to the hospital where Dr. Iversen took over my care. She had the hospital staff give me frequent (almost constant) injections in order to get my blood glucose down. The shots were painful and I had bruising all over from the injection sites. Finally, Dr. Thielen stepped in and changed my insulin delivery to an IV drip. I spent over 24 hours in severe pain because Dr. Iversen made a bad call. Since then, every time I come in for a simple checkup or problem, she blames everything on my diabetes. Honestly, she has been more reluctant to give me care even for the simplest of problems because of the fact that I have diabetes. When I began having heart palpitations she blamed it on diabetes and the fact that I drink Diet Coke. I later found out that I was suffering from panic attacks. Dr. Iversen never even acknowledged that what I was feeling was real because it was all caused by Diet Coke and diabetes (no joke!). Bottom line: if you or your child has diabetes, I would NOT go to Rosanne for treatment. She is utterly unprepared to treat this disease or its side effects.

2) When I got my first UTI, Dr. Iversen did the usual test that detected some blood and bacteria in my urine. However, they refused to prescribe me any treatment because they "weren't quite sure" and "wanted to wait". Several hours later, the infection became so bad that I couldn't walk and had to be carried out from class and readmitted to Rosanne's office. At this point, they decided it would be best to admit me to the hospital due to the severity. I opted to stay at her office instead and was there for over 3 hours getting IV and medical treatment. When the same thing happened and I went to Dr. Thielen, she prescribed me antibiotics as a preventative measure because my tests were the same (only some blood and bacteria). Instead of refusing treatment, she gave me the medication I needed and had me come in for a follow up appointment to double check. My experience with Rosanne was absolutely miserable and unnecessary, and I am so grateful that I saw a different physician the second time.

3) When I got my first yeast infection, Rosanne's office refused me any treatment. The infection was severe and I was having a bad reaction to the over-the-counter medications. However, when I asked about alternative treatments, they said the only other options (besides Monostat) would be too painful and invasive. So, they told me to keep using Monostat, regardless of my reaction (swelling, redness, shooting pain, rash). I got a yeast infection a few months later (a chronic condition I now have) and I decided to see Dr. Thielen instead. She gave me a pelvic exam (something Rosanne's office never even did) to confirm it wasn't a cyst or other problem. After confirming that there was nothing else wrong, she gave me Diflucan to cure the infection. They now have Diflucan on retainer for me so that I don't have to come back in order to get more due to the fact that I have them so often. Honestly, I was so angry with Dr. Iversen and her office. How could they be so uneducated about treating yeast infections? Diflucan seemed like such a simple solution that every doctor I've ever seen since leaving Rosanne's (including university physicians and Planned Parenthood) have been more than happy to prescribe for my infections. But Rosanne's office had NO IDEA what to do and totally ignored my reactive symptoms!

All in all, I finally decided to switch doctors and move my primary care to Steamboat Medical Group. It's been the best decision I ever made.

Dr. Roseanne Iversen is by far the worse medical professional I have ever seen. She judged my medical marijuana use from the second I mentioned it, even though I use CBDs. Psoriasis gone, no sleep issues, and migraines are a thing of the past. When she called in a prescription medication that had the scariest side effects (like seizures, tremors, and death to name a few) and I requested a different one, she flat out refused to call anything else in. She told me to drink honey for my throat. Like I didn't do that for the last three days, trying to avoid the doctors in the first place!

She is the most uncaring and insensitive doctor I have ever met. Avoid her at all costs. The worst part is that the other women in the practice are great!!! It's literally just Rosanne Iversen that doesn't care about her patients. If I could give her zero stars I would.
