I know, it's a chain but bookstores are dying out so I have to support the selling of books anyway I can. This particular store has gotten a facelift, no more music section in the back. The upstairs still has a warm and inviting Kid's Books area, I love it. There are comfy chairs throughout the store. Yes, the tables at the coffee shop aren't sizable for studying but it's nice to have this area. I 😘 books!

I'm glad B&N still maintains their brick&mortar here.
It's sad imagining the loss of walking amongst book stacks.

Such a great bookstore! Plenty of parking, tons of attendants if you need help to find something, and several reading nooks and seats to enjoy! It also helps that they have a cafe on the right with coffee and pastries!

We had way to much fun here. We all found so many wonderful things. If your looking for a gift this is it. They had super great toys we have never seen anywhere. Record’s, cd’s and movie’s. A wonderful book section full of books my little person loved. It has a Starbucks inside also. What a lovely store. Will be back. Tons of friendly staff.

This bookstore is one of the warmest B&N stores that I have been to. The space is bigger than other Seattle ones. The most thing I love is they put many chairs in each section for readers. There is a small coffee shop inside if you want to try it. The staff is super friendly and warm to customers. I spent an hour going through different books and got some good books names to buy in the future

This location has 2 floors of books and a cafe inside! Plenty of parking, free parking up to 3 hours.

For an excellent bookstore experience in Seattle, the Barnes & Noble at 401 NE Northgate Way #1100 is a top choice. This location is highly regarded for its wide selection of books, cozy cafe, and additional offerings as a children's book store, hobby store, and toy store. Great location. Plenty of parking, plenty of books, lots of genres. Carries older books and newer ones as well! The environment is cozy.

Barnes & Noble employees know and love books; consequently, they are truly helpful when requesting a specific book or needing an idea for one's next book. Plus, the Northgate B & N has an awesome cafe!

B&Noble are so rare now - But I appreciate this one - friendly staff/Cashiers and great cafe vibes/staff ☕…in an area with a dearth of cafés - it’s Starbucks coffee but in a bookstore so palate-able!

Love just going in here to spend time looking around and reading. Plus the coffee shop inside is a great bonus. And I especially love all the cool Knick nacks on the displays waiting to checkout. If you are a high volume reader, I recommend purchasing into their reward program, you will save money.

It sounds silly, but it feels good to walk around a bookstore.

We were close to buying a book for Xmas on Amazon, and I said to just go to an actual bookstore to get it. We ended up getting way more for everyone on our list and that's something you can't do as seamlessly online.

Barnes and Noble always has the best customer service! One of the best bricks and mortar bookstores left! Also their clearance item selection is the best at this location!

You know I'm very much a introvert woman and the lady at the check out was the first person who's ever asked me questions like " what series are you reading now?"

Honestly,it was a simple small gesture but it definitely took me by suprise and shocked me a bit that I was able to talk to someone face to face and nerd out . I really enjoyed that , I will definitely be returning . I value people who are fun

Oh, I love this store! The staff are friendly and helpful. You want or need books, they have most everything you could want to read here. I got the newest Laurell K. Hamilton book for $25(originally $28, had a $3 off coupon on the book), and a few other cool reads as well. They're not the cheapest, but they usually have the better copies of series.

The Cafe has a daily $5 book with any purchase! This was really awesome!

It's 90 degrees outside and yet it's so cool (without being cold) inside. Everything is always neat and the employees are always exceptionally helpful. I always feel like they actually care about my experience (which is rare at big corporate stores).

I love Barnes and Noble. Great selection, courteous workers. I like that the staff at this B&N are visible without hovering.
