Cal Anderson Park

Beautiful tranquil little park just west of the downtown area of Seattle, in an eclectic neighborhood of diverse people. Really enjoyable for dogs and soccer players. Or just laying out.

Great place to play chase/fetch with dogs! It was nice to see many people just laying about enjoying the day on the grass. Minding their own business. Nice sunny (mildly chilly) day today. Perfect for the Park.

Depending on the dog you have. You can let your dog go and run around like crazy. There is water pools for them. But if your dog is sketchy keep it leashed. But if it's a nice and not aggressive, let them go..;)

We really enjoyed our afternoon at this park. There is a farmers market on Sunday, so we got to enjoy that and then took our babe to the playground, which was basically empty. There were lots of dogs playing off leash, and the playground with slides, swings, and a see saw was super clean.

There is always something fun going on, especially in the summer! Come on evening weekdays for volleyball and Friday nights 9PM - Midnight for dodgeball. Both are free, just show up.

It was a great day to be outside! Tons of space at this park. So much going on today!

I love this community park and used to come here frequently. There is almost always something happening, from summer movies at night, all sorts of sports/activities or just people watching. Although there were plenty of awkward people hiding in the bushes or creeping, they were part of the overall experience.

There is a renovation happening; the Sun Bowl. No more BLM garden. Cal Anderson is great to take walks through or even to have a picnic. Great place to bring dogs. There is enough space if you want to keep your dog away from others's dogs. There is a skatepark here, basket ball courts, and a softball field.

If you want to see dogs, this is the park to go. It’s a classic Capitol Hill staple, and the site of many events and protests. It was the location for CHOP/CHAZ. No better park to go to chill at in the area!

Awesome small park. Lots of people hangout here and you have a full court to play soccer or whatever sport you want. There is a basketball court and you can skateboard too.

It's a wonderfully landscaped space providing a welcome break from the immediately surrounding urban density. There is state-of-the-art children's playground equipment, trails allowing for casual strolling, sprint or distance running work and plenty of grassy areas for all sorts of activities from croquet to frisbee and volleyball. It also provides absolutely fantastic people watching in that warmer months.

I’m not often in the cap hill area, but I’ve been to Cal Anderson park a few times. The playground for children is a bit small, but it’s still fun. The fountain is a big hit with kids too. The sports field has turf, but there’s also plenty is real grass. It’s a nice size park for being in the city. I was there this weekend for the Women’s March.

Great Park, beautiful fountain, friendly people. Meat some people from Reach ministries that were praying for others in the park, - very unusual nowadays... I was really impressed by them. Jesus Christ is alive!

Call Anderson Park offers peaceful surrounding. The park is clean and we'll maintained, the grounds and trees are beautifully kept. A perfect place in a busy city to get away. My favorite thing about this place is how safe and calming a walk in this park can make you feel .

The ❤💜❤ of the Hill. Capital Hill. Great take off leash doggies to play. Just pick up their poo. Parks got a little bit of everything. Skate, basketball. Ect. And LGBT owned, jk.....🎉

Lively play ground with places to sit and do fun activities, apart from actual field for baseball and football.
People can be seen roaming around, taking their dogs for a walk everywhere.
Good atmosphere.

In the heart of Seattle's metropolis, Cal Anderson Park provides athletic facilities for soccer, tennis, basketball, volleyball, a tennis court set up for skateboarders and a large field given to dog owners, and trainers. There's also a new playground for the kids. There are bathrooms in the center of the park and a beautiful fountain area where you'll find all sorts of interesting people.
