Wonderful breakfast spot that's been open since the late 1950s.
We've stayed in the area for the week and ate here twice, both times we enjoyed our meal. The staff is helpful and friendly, with prompt service. I ordered blueberry pancakes with eggs & sausage patties. I believe the patties are home made and were really good. If you like orange juice, be sure to order a glass here, it indeed tasted like it was freshly squeezed.

Also, we love the retro interior that's pretty much looks the same since they've been opened. You can see a photo of the restaurant when they first opened behind a front counter, not much has changed. We can't wait to eat here again.

Pancakes to Write Home About:

The star of the show, of course, is the pancakes. Fluffy, golden, and cooked to order, they're the kind that melt in your mouth with each bite. From classic buttermilk to creative options like Dutch babies and German pancakes, there's a flavor for every fancy. Don't miss the house-made syrups, especially the decadent huckleberry!

But The Pancake Chef isn't just a one-trick pony. Their breakfast and lunch menu boasts a delightful variety, all cooked with fresh ingredients and generous portions. Omelets packed with fluffy goodness, crispy waffles, and savory skillets will have you coming back for more. Bonus points for their commitment to using free-range eggs and local produce whenever possible.

One of my favorite breakfast places in Seattle. Lovely, friendly staff. Delicious food. Their pancakes are, of course, fantastic; as are their crepes.

I love old school, diner feel places! It's exactly what you'd expect, for both food and atmosphere. The server must have been busy though, she didn't clean the area properly before seating us, forgot my OJ, and we had no utensils until we asked after the food was on the table. But she was still very sweet and it was a fun breakfast.

Amazing food and great service! A cute little diner. The pancakes (as expected) we delicious. The bathroom was small and the trash was overflowing onto the floor but it was during a rush. Overall definitely a great place for a bite

Friendly, welcoming service in a cozy environment. The food is fresh and tasty and the menu is amazing. If you've ever liked a diner food, you can probably get it here and it will definitely be delicious. There aren't as many homey diners in the Seattle area as there once we're so I'm especially grateful that The Pancake Chef Is still around to provide fantastic, filling meals.

After dropping off an early morning traveler at SeaTac, I found this absolute gem. At first, my plan was a quick cuppa to-go -- til I saw the menu. Now I wish I didn't live an hour away - ready to try several dishes here! To start my exploration of what is an understandable institution here, I had the best, freshest homemade roast beef hash and egg I've ever. The juice is fresh-squeezed. They leave your own pot of coffee. And the service is incredible - fast, super friendly, and attentive. These folks are diner pros. Great atmosphere, too. Really is like going back in time.

Barbara our server was fantastic! We had the German Pancake with Lemon Sauce and the Corned beef & Hash with egg over medium, hash browns and biscuits. Everything was delicious and perfect sharing size for 2 people.

Our server (Lin?) was a delight and easily made the stay memorable.

The food was not exciting. Had pancakes, omelette, hash browns, biscuits and gravy, toast, steak (medium well) and eggs (over easy), coffee, and orange juice.

Would order something else for the steak. No flavor, no browning. The country potatoes in the omelette just tasted plain and boiled.

Beyond those two things the food was delightful enough. The atmosphere is very mom and pop, people know each other here, guests talking to other guests by name and being friendly to new faces.

The food was great, I had biscuits and homemade gravy, hashbrowns, bacon and eggs. They even squeeze the Orange juice fresh to order! What a difference!!. The waitress was so sweet, it was like mom serving it. She cared about our experience. Highly-rated.

I adore this place. I love that they give you a whole pitcher of coffee. I love their Dutch babies. I love their staff. I love that it is family run. It is by far the best breakfast place for miles around and I always feel lucky when I get a chance to go there.

Our service was exceptional! The host and server were so friendly. The food was great. I haven't had a blintz in so long because most places don't get it right. The Pancake Chef gets it right!!! Sooooo good!

The best breakfast I’ve ever had in the US. We got there twice, during our stay. I had the oatmeal one day, and the combo bacon/eggs/hashbrown pancake the next day. Delicious food, great service, friendly and professional at the same time. I’ll be back!

Great food, great service, authentic atmosphere. You will enjoy your experience at this well-established restaurant. For those of us of a certain age, this is a pleasant ride to the 1950's.

Whenever I’m in Seattle, on business, and staying near, SeaTac, this is my go to place for breakfast. Classic diner feel. Classic decor. Truthfully, the decor is old, but it takes me back. The service is always fantastic. The food is always phenomenal, and the portions are substantial.
