I LOVED MY STAY!!!!!!! when I visit again I will definitely be staying here. Everything was super clean, the staff is all super nice and helpful. There are three cats that stay in the hotel and hang out with guests/employees which made my soul super happy as an animal lover away from their pet… Plus the aesthetic of the hotel is to die for. The building has so much history! There are so many places to cozy up and read a book or have your morning tea (which they also provide free of charge along with many other refreshment options!)

This is the best place I have ever stayed at. It was close to everything and a great place to just hang out. Every room is unique. We called ours the Hogwarts dorm because of the layout with the beds in the loft. It is beautiful.

Wonderfully charming hotel with such friendly service! Surprisingly quiet for being so centrally located to all the action on Bourbon Street.

We had an amazing time here. Even walking through the door to the hotel was fun, looking for the cats in residence.

Thank you Olivier House for making our trip so special!

The Olivier House Hotel is a gem in the French Quarter! My favorite part is the 3 hotel cats who get to roam the property and greet guests. There is a great outdoor garden space and pool. The hotel has a unique layout and an old world feel. The room we stayed in has original wood floors, a brick exterior wall, beautiful wooden beam across the ceiling, and an antique armoire instead of a closet. The shower is luxurious! The location is great and walkable to everything in the French Quarter. It was quiet late night even though it’s close to bourbon street. We can’t wait to stay here again on our next trip to New Orleans!

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is within walking distance of everything in the French Quarter. We stayed in the room on Toulouse St with a private balcony. Room was great with antique furniture. Shower was not great but we managed. If you don’t want to hear the street noice then you should choose a different room.
There is complementary coffee, tea, water and snacks available anytime.
The staff is so friendly and gave us many recommendations for food, music, drinks and sites.
I highly recommended to stay at the Olivier and get a real taste of New Orleans.

Right in the middle of the French quarter. Sweet spot. Relatively quiet courtyards with fountains. Cats. Rumored to be super haunted but no problem for us at all.

Beds super comfortable. Air conditioning works very well. Giant bathtub with plenty of hot water. Could not hear anyone else. 24/7 coffee. Good for everyone. Total old school Nola

I can't say enough good things about this hotel and the staff who run it. It's the most unique, beautiful hotel I've ever stayed in. Each room is different and has its own charm. Really neat antiques, art, and furniture around every corner.
We've stayed in 4 different rooms now and each one is cooler than the last.

The Olivier House Hotel stands as a beacon of history and elegance, offering guests an unforgettable journey through time in the French Quarter.
From the moment you step into the grand lobby, it becomes apparent that this hotel is not merely a place to stay but a portal to the rich cultural tapestry of the Crescent City.

The hotel's architecture, a splendid blend of French and Creole influences, pays homage to the city's storied past.
The lobby exudes an old-world charm that instantly transports you to a bygone era. The attention to detail in the preservation of historical elements is commendable, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the unique ambiance of New Orleans.

The rooms are a perfect marriage of modern comfort and classic design, providing a luxurious sanctuary after a day of exploring the lively streets outside. The plush furnishings and subtle nods to local art and culture create an inviting atmosphere, while the modern amenities ensure a comfortable and convenient stay.

The Olivier House Hotel also stands out for its impeccable service. The staff, well-versed in the art of southern hospitality, went above and beyond to ensure that I felt not just accommodated but truly welcomed. Their knowledge of the city and its history adds an extra layer to the overall experience, as they eagerly share insights and recommendations for exploring the nearby historic sites, including the iconic French Quarter and Jackson Square.

The Olivier House Hotel's location allows guests to easily access the city's most iconic landmarks. Whether you're strolling along the Mississippi River, exploring the lively streets of the French Quarter, or immersing yourself in the city's vibrant arts scene, this hotel serves as the perfect place for your New Orleans adventure.

We visited this hotel in 2022 and to this day it is the hotel that we measure all other vacation hotels by. Very rarely have I experienced a vacation where the hotel was just as much of an attraction as the rest of the city, and yet the Olivier House manages to do just that. If we ever return to New Orleans we will absolutely be staying again.

This is true to New Orleans charm. If you want pristine floors then go to the Ritz. I wouldn’t change a thing about this hotel except for the elevator stopping on the 3rd floor…it was funny.

The room was pleasantly quite at night despite the intimate location to Bourbon. We could hear a little bit of the music bass up till past 3am but if you put your noise maker on it’s not bad at all. I naturally wake at 3am, so it wasn’t the music that woke me.

This is by far the best coffee bar in a lobby I’ve ever experienced. Community Coffee and lots of flavors to add to your cup.

We will be back just to experience another beautiful room.

My wife and I always have a fantastic stay at Olivier House. In the heart of the French Quarter, the hotel is within walking distance to many of your classic New Orleans landmarks.

The grounds and rooms are beautiful. Antique furniture decorate the lobby and each room— and no two rooms are alike. Some rooms even have two bathrooms. One of our favorite rooms is the Carriage House located in the middle of the property. It is quiet, has a little courtyard, and has two stories. We also enjoy the balcony rooms. But be warned, the ruckus from the French Quarter can occasionally be heard, (bring ear plugs for sleeping), but that’s all part of the experience!

Those who run the hotel are always friendly and responsive. Talk to John if you want details about booking and rates. Chris is often at the front desk and is always so helpful and goes the extra mile. You can tell everyone is proud of the hotel.

There is a small pool in the middle of the property that is popular with guests in summer months. Make sure to climb the stairs to the fourth floor in the evening to get a beautiful view of the French quarter. Valet parking is available if you drive in. With the way the French Quarter is laid out, you will not be needing your vehicle to enjoy all that it has to offer. If you ever need to go a far distance from the hotel, Ubers and taxis are plentiful and available. We also love the complementary coffee and water bottles in the the lobby.

And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the feline mascots Ragie, Maggie, and BC. They supervise the lobby and patrol the grounds. They are always fun to see and interact with.

If you want a unique and friendly stay at a beautiful French Quarter landmark, you will love the Olivier House.

This place exudes old New Orleans charm!! The rooms are gorgeous with modern touches and the staff are super attentive. Just be aware it can quite loud from Bourbon Street for all you light sleepers.

Been to NOLA many times, first time at this hotel. Will book it again as many times as I come back. If you like historic homes, good staff, beautiful lodgings, comfort, and cats, you will love it here.

We stayed here 11/9 for just 1 night. This place was amazing! We were literally 50 yards from Bourbon St, and you would have never known it. It was very quiet and unassuming. Beautiful courtyard to drink morning coffee in. We were fortunate enough to get an upgrade on our room. It was a Jr Suite that was very tastefully done and cool to stay in. It did smell a little musty, but considering the heat and humidity of the quarter, I was a little musty after 10 PM as well. The staff are amazing and job number 1 was to make sure you had an enjoyable stay. They were great conversationalists and historians about the property. I'm not sure I'd stay anywhere else in the quarter after this experience.

Incredible historic building! We absolutely LOVED our stay! Is it old? That’s why we picked it! The floors are wavy and the beds creak. The bathrooms are dated and the street noise is loud! If you can’t stand all that charm, stay somewhere else! But that was why we came to New Orleans!

Wonderful weekend stay! Great location- close enough to the action but quiet enough to rest. Beautiful place! We were in room 205 our first night which was nice but was missing the natural light that I like. It would be a perfect for someone who needs a dark room to stay asleep. Our second night we stayed in X.3 across the street- such a lovely place with all its windows and natural light. Chris and Francis were so kind and accommodating! I loved the water, tea, coffee, and snacks provided in the lobby. We’ll definitely be back to stay here when we’re back in NOLA!

Stop looking for the best place to stay in New Orleans – you've found it. Olivier House Hotel is perfectly located ... it's sooooo close to Bourbon St but still nice and quiet overnight; the rooms are immaculately clean and well appointed but they still have that quirky New Orleans character; the staff are super friendly, caring and helpful, and the grounds are gorgeous. What else could you want? It's not just a hotel - it's a home away from home with some genuine historic character.
Olivier House Hotel really is the best place to stay in New Orleans – I'll definitely be back!

If you’re considering staying here and reading through reviews, here’s your sign. DO IT. It contributes to a true New Orleans experience with such unique and beautifully decorated rooms. We have a king loft and it was perfect. A little sitting area with a tv and a full bathroom downstairs. And a cute little stair way to an upstairs room with a bed and a half bath. They provided water bottles and coffee and yummy little cookies. Not to mention the great service they provided as well. The pool area and courtyard were clean and immaculate. The location was perfect being basically right in the center of the French quarter, and 1 block away from bourbon but yet far enough away to where our stay was still peaceful. There’s a great little grocery spot right near the hotel not even half a block away called Toulouse street grocery. One of the best corner stores for a quick bite to eat. There are hotel cats that are absolutely adorable. I’m allergic to cats but wanted to stay here anyways and hope for the best. The kittys don’t come in the rooms so it was perfect! I got married in New Orleans on Halloween and I’m so so so happy with this place we chose to stay at. They even allowed us to play a little music with a guitar in the courtyard area. 100 out of 10. You want to stay here and you won’t regret it.

Amazing hotel with an amazing staff. The Location is prime, the grounds are gorgeous, and the staff are amazing and caring.

I injured myself on the way home, and they sure to accommodate my every need, including a new room on the ground floor.

When you give this place business, you aren't only getting a beautiful hotel in a historic location, you are supporting people who truly care about their customers and will go the extra mile to help them.

If you ask me, that makes all the difference in the world! Go here, and fall in love with NOLA,n
