Local grocery chain within walking distance of lots of hotels. I walked over on my first day in New Orleans to grab some water and snacks for my stay. It's a good midsize store with a healthy amount of options. The store itself looks deceptively small from the outside. Staff were friendly at checkout and throughout the store. Prices for some products were higher than I expected going in, but the store branded items and in-house fresh goods had great prices. Will likely be back this same trip.

I really like Rouses Market because they are locally owned and offer good products at reasonable prices. Shopping at the Baronne Street location is a special treat. The Royal Street location is super convenient but about one half the size of this store. Great selection and a great inventory.

I stayed at a Hotel approximately 3 blocks away from Rouse Market. I've never been to a Grocery Store so Awesome. I bought the freshest salad and hot food(self-serve)including cooked seafood. I was totally impressed. When I saw those Tomahawk steaks, I fell in love. I Can't wait to be back in town in a few weeks.

OMG what an incredible supermarket. The staff here knows the meaning of customer service. Southern hospitality at its best. I could just spend hours looking around. You will definitely find what you're looking 4 plus more. Excellent experience at this supermarket.

The customer service is AMAZING. I called to speak to someone in the meat department but it rang out so the concierge personally walked over my name and phone number to the meat department. I thought for sure they wouldn’t call back but about 5 minutes later I got a call from the Dillon, the butcher, confirming my order from 3 weeks ago. I didn’t even have to explain who I was or what I was calling about. They looked up my order in advance just by my first name and knew I was calling about it. Truly amazing service. I have yet to try the meat but if it’s any indication of attention to detail as demonstrated by their customer service, then I’m sure it’ll be amazing.

Vacationing in the area and my wife wanted to go to Whole Foods... I said we didn’t drive 10 hours to go to Whole Foods so we went here. It was a very pleasant surprise. We were both glad we did something more local.

Very cool interior. Felt like a fancy grocery store but didn’t have that air about it. Very nice meat, seafood, and deli counters. Parking lot was tiny, but even around 5 PM on a Saturday it had a few spots open.

Cute grocery store to shop local food especially crawfish. We came and visited during Memorial Weekend. The first time we went around 10pm and all the food were gone. We got there around 3pm the next day and luckily we bought the last two bags of crawfish. It’s very cheap and fresh. The flavor is not that strong like the restaurant but definitely worth it. We bought 11.5 lbs for about 20 something bucks. So come early!!!

This supermaket has lots of selection. I like they mark "Local" for local product. Most hot food run out by dinner time even when the supermarket is not closed yet. The entry from the non-parking side is hard to find for first timer.

Definitely mark this market when you visit the French Quarter. It is within walking distance of most the hotels. Great way to stock up on some groceries so you don't have to eat out every day. Service here was good and the aisles were very clean.

Really clean store with everything one would need. Very well stocked. Lots of cooked items. Pulled pork was delicious. Cakes looked amazing. The carrot cake and red velvet cake were really good.
Checked out by Jeremy. Great guy. Really professional.

Great grocery store, easy to get to from the Hyatt. The staff are great. I made a late night run last night and even though the bakery counter was closed, the woman working there served me an amazing mini pumpkin cheesecake. The fruit tart is also great. I had the Cuban sandwich sliders (they lasted for two meals, so that was a real $5 bargain) and they were super tasty. Couldn’t find them again. So maybe you have to get lucky. I’m writing this as a tourist at a hotel that doesn’t seem to offer a grab and go option. The stock looks typical for a grocery store besides the quick eats.

Wonderful marketplace. This store has the inventory of a large grocery store confined within a small area.  The parking is exceptionally tight.   Large SUVs would have a hard time   maneuvering within their parking lot.

Great store. Friendly staff. Very clean and well stocked. Probably one of the nicest grocery stores I've ever been in. Incredible that it's in a downtown location and not in some suburb somewhere.

The store was very clean. Excellent selection of fruit and vegetables (especially tomatoes). Fried chicken sandwich was hot and tasted good. To my delight surprise, cooked crayfish was offered at very reasonable prices in a big tub. It's fresh and tastes good.

Great marker with a huge selection of prepared foods, Extensive wine and beer selection. They also have dry aged beef as well. Great neighborhood store and Louisiana owned.

This is my "Go to spot" when I visit New Orleans for Mardi Gras. King Cake (and found the King Baby), beer, hot food (shrimp & grits), quick check-out cashier service. Great prices, friendly folks, and a must shop for supplies.... a block away from the Virgin Hotel on Baronne St.

If you're staying or visiting within the downtown area near the Mercedes Superdome, Canal/Bourbon Streets or Virgin Hotel and looking for hot food or groceries this is the place for you. This place is easily located and within walking distance about 15 minutes or less depending upon where your walking from. Rouse is similar to any grocery store like Raley's, Publix, Trader's Joe and Whole Foods.

They had so many great hot food choices from burrito and panini to buffet style. The buffet style section had food for the Holidays about 10 choices to choose from: seafood stuffing/dressing, corn chowder but looked like mac and cheese, spinach souffle or maybe it was cream of spinach turkey and gravy, mashed potatoes and fried chicken....there were no labels to let you know what these dishes were so if you have allergies like I do ask questions.

Rouse had to continually keep stocking the fried chicken because this is what people would normally pile on their plates. So I had to taste it. I don't normally eat chicken but had to try it. Awwww the chicken was tender and flavorful through and through. YOU MUST TRY IT!

Now it is important to remember that what you get at the buffet area will be weighed at the cashier counter where you will also get your napkins and utensils.

Parking can be difficult around the area but there is a small parking area in the back.

Wow, this is such a gorgeous store; in such a convenient, albeit unexpected location! The store is easily-navigated and offers an impressively-wide range of products sure to satisfy any shopper's need, irregardless of their specific dietary & nutritional requirements.

Christian & Shawn from the bakery department are the absolute best! They were very courteous and saved the day with a last minute cake for my brothers birthday. The cake was absolutely delicious!
