Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots

The races are a unique gambling experience. If you go with a group or even a couple or two, you will have a lot more fun than going to a casino. The Fairgrounds is one of the oldest and coolest tracks in the country.

Nice place. Pretty impressed. Fair Grounds competes well with the biggest names in Race Tracks. Cash only at the far gate is a drag. Update for 2023 is free admission at least for the Gun Runner Stakes!

New Orleans Jazz Festival...
Finally back after three years. The incredible costumes, a rainbow of colors and sounds, and every segment of humanity represented. Just beautiful.

As we do every year we thoroughly enjoyed the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. The soft shell crab poor boy, Williams Plum Street Snowball's, Rosemary Mint Iced Tea so off the chain as per usual. Till next year when I can also get my plarine stuffed beignets

Attended Jazz Fest here, well laid out and, with drink, food at reasonable $$$...
Plenty of great music all throughout, but, better maintenance required for port a pottys because toilet paper and sanitizer were in low quantities, sometimes none at all...

Food was amazing too.

Beautiful location with a wide variety of racing events. Even for people who do not gamble, it can be quite a positive experience with the beauty of the space and the view of the horses and kind clientele. Highly recommend for a local experience.

What can you say other than Happy Jazz Fest!!!
Last weekend of April and 1st weekend of May for 53 years.
What a lineup after 3 years of no music.

Went here on a Sunday afternoon on a whim after eating brunch at Toast. We got a groupon which paid for itself and then some. For $24 you get admission for 2 to the grandstands in the upper levels, 2 books about the days races, and 2 $10 food vouchers that can also be used on drinks. The weather was perfect and our whole group had a ton of fun!

I come from the Santa Anita Race Track, so I knew it was going to be smaller. But this track is one of the cleaner, well-maintained smaller ones. I've been to Oaklawn, Zia Park, Los Alamitos...this one is nice!

It's a beautiful place I'm here for the Jazz Festival.

Went here for Jazz Fest, Red Hot Chili Peppers rocked the main stage

This place has many events. One of my favorites was the wiener dog racing. Lots of outdoor bleachers for a really low price. Also, their food that you can order at the counter inside is surprisingly SO GOOD. Also, jazz fest is held here and they do a complete transformation of the field. You can’t even tell it is used to race horses (and wiener dogs)

It's the New Orleans Jazzfest, of course it's amazing. The grounds were well kept and everything was orderly. Loved it!

Went to the Jazz Fest had a great 4 days . Fun times .. you should go . Great music and people !
