We wanted to t try alligator while in New Orleans. This appetizer was a perfect way to do it. Good flavor, enough to try and the sauce was amazing. I give alligator a solid you should try it.

We also grabbed a couple of cocktails this hurricane was better than the PatObriens in my opinion and dinner was Fantastic. They subbed out the blackened fish on top of the pasta for me and Wow this is the winning dish. We also had the salad with Green Goddess dressing. The chicken was bite sized, dressing flavorful and plenty to be a filling meal.

This is a nice dinner out place.

The atmosphere is crowded but not loud and once you settled into the meal you did not even notice the tables beside you. Well worth the wait and the meal was worth the price.

Despite its unassuming appearance and lack of long lines compared to other restaurants we've visited, this place exceeded our expectations. I would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant over the overrated spots in New Orleans because of its outstanding food and service. Our server, Shelley R., was an absolute delight—sweet, caring, and genuinely passionate about her job. She made our dining experience truly memorable.

When you walk in, it feels like a rustic tavern where everyone already knows your name, and the staff was as friendly as if that were the truth. The entire wall of one side of the restaurant is a mirror, so it is smaller than it appears, but they were able to accommodate our party of seven without issues or delay. The food was delightful, many options for larger parties looking to accommodate many different tastes, including authentic dishes. Highly recommend the meat pies, definitely a highlight.

Roast Beef Po-Boy was awesome. Super flavorful. The historical interior was cool. Love the old brick. A true step back in time for an amazing meal.

Finding this restaurant was the best part of our trip! The service is excellent, and the food, superb. The atmosphere comes from a place that only being there since 1788 can provide. Everything about it is amazing. It's small, on a corner, but proves big things come in small packages. I had 'googled' best French onion soup in New Orleans, and this was the number one restaurant that popped up. It did not disappoint!

We go to New Orleans quite often, but this was our first time here. A local resident recommended this restaurant. We ended up liking this restaurant so much that we ate there for dinner and brunch the next day. The seafood pot pie with fried crawfish on top was incredible. The staff was very knowledgeable, and you can tell that they enjoy working there. We will definitely be back.

This restaurant, slightly off the beaten track, doesn't have live music...just good food and drinks and friendly service. We had a delicious dinner. My partner's burger was perfectly done medium rare. My Shrimp jambalaya was excellent, and the bread pudding for dessert - big enough to share - was TDF. Friendly service. Rhonda, the manager, was attentive. Oh, and, the Cajun bloody Mary was perfectly spicy.

Our waiter was AMAZING! I did not catch her name but for me this has been the most authentic NOLA experience. Great service, great food. 100% would recommend.

Original Pierre Maspero's was superb. The crab cakes were loaded with crab meat and not a lot of fillers. The meat was fresh and delicious. The sauted spinach and mushrooms were done to perfection, the tomatoes fresh and the tangy sauce just about had me licking the plate. The grits were the fluffiest I’ve ever tasted. This place is small but packed with character and charm. Feels like soemthing out of the movie. The service was great. Servers were attentive and the food came out fast. This place is not to be missed if you’re in New Orleans.

I eat here often for breakfast when I visit New Orleans. I believe I have been at least 6 times. There food is consistently good! There service is always phenomenal. Ms. Mary brings all the southern hospitality! I would recommend the chicken and waffles! The boneless chicken. It is cooked to perfection.

Keeping in mind that you are in the French Quarter, food is quite delicious and reasonably priced. I was born and raised in NO and eat here often. I highly recommend this place for great New Orleans style food! Loved the pistolettes, the "pot pie", and the shrimp remoulade....

I come to the Original Pierre Maspero's every trip I make to New Orleans just for the French onion soup - it is the best I've had!

This trip the soup was fabulous as always, and I also tried their Hurricane (somehow for the first time, I've always gotten their other specialty cocktails) which was also great - I think I prefer it over most of the others I've tried in town.

What really pushed things over this trip was the service. The service I've had here before has been varied (but never bad, at worst just passable), but my server this time was exactly what I hope for in someone in a customer service position. Shelley R was super friendly while still being super professional, was happy to make suggestions and also not rush me, and was overall just a highlight in the interactions I had in my trip.

If I could give this place more stars I would. This place was amazing. From the hostess, to the waitress, to the food. Everything was amazing and fun. The food was beyond delicious. Our waitress Mary was the best. So was the hostess but I unfortunately cannot remember her name. I cannot wait to come back.

This is a beautiful restaurant. The building is old and embraces its history. The food was amazing, you cannot go wrong with the Crescent City sampler! The service was excellent and the atmosphere was fabulous.
