We stayed for jazz fest. The service is the best we’ve had in a while, and the cottages are lovely. Loved sitting in the courtyard with coffee in the morning! Really the best, most thoughtful housekeeping A very faint smoky smell lingered but not as much as most of the quarter rooms; and, it wasn’t enough for us to leave. Felt like we had the place to ourselves- it’s very private

We stayed here in Feb and I'll never stay anywhere else in New Orleans now! It was immaculately clean, comfortable, and beautiful. The combination of feeling like you have your own peaceful, private oasis while being right in the heart of the action of the French Quarter is really unique. The cherry on top is the service, they really go above and beyond. Jeffrey (I believe that was his name) made sure every detail was attended to. He helped with luggage and transportation, and made sure we knew where to get the best coffee, po boys, and ice cream all within walking distance. Above all, he made us laugh and feel at ease and welcome after a long day of travel. This is hospitality at its finest!

We stayed in Cottage 2. I was a little apprehensive because I'd read the haunted stories, but we had a fabulous experience with no paranormal sightings 😆

My wife and I wanted a unique experience and found this property via a Google search. It looked intriguing, so we booked. The property exceeded all expectations. It’s absolutely gorgeous. The room was comfortable and had exceptional amenities. And may I say, you’ll be hard pressed to find a more friendly and personable property manager as Brian. Stop thinking and book it now. Great location and great experience. Highly recommended.

A hidden gem at the edge of French Quarter. Pictures don’t do it justice. Very quaint and felt very safe. Pool is lovely. Rooms very well equipped and bed super comfy. Jeffrey and Brian were extremely hospitable. Jeffrey got us reservations for dinners that were amazing. It felt more like an airBnb with hotel service.
Can’t wait to go back.
Only issue was wifi but Jeffrey was working on that!

Wonderful stay at this perfect little getaway hidden nicely in the French Quarter. The location was fantastic, the staff was amazing and the entire experience completely exceeded our expectations. Pictures do not do this place justice. Would highly, highly recommend and will definitely stay again should I visit New Orleans again!

Typically, website photos are better than the real thing. Here, the photos do not do justice. This is the best place I've ever stayed in the French Quarter and is now my go-to. The rooms are separate cottages that are spacious, freshly renovated and comfortable. The grounds include semi-private or private patios with a common area by a pool - it is an oasis to get a break from the noise and bustle of Bourbon Street. Jeffrey and Brian were great hosts who tended to our every need, plus offered great restaurant and bar recommendations. I look forward to my next visit just to stay at the Audubon Cottages.

We love this place! The perfect cross between a hotel and an AirBnB. The cottages are spacious and adorable. Ours (#4) has 2 rooms upstairs and an ample sitting area, eating area and little refrigerator downstairs. We had our own courtyard to sit outside and eat our complimentary breakfast each morning. It's in a super safe area, with a secure door into the main courtyard, yet it's just one block away from Bourbon Street. Walking distance to everything! The staff is so friendly and very informative. We would definitely come back here!!

Beautiful cottages and an amazing host, Jeffrey! It gives you more of an Airbnb feel with hotel amenities. Jeffrey gave us the BEST recommendations. While the street corner seemed a little shady, we felt safe during our stay. Would stay here again.

This place is such a gem of a spot!! Love that they only have 7 cottages in the entire place plus one of the oldest and gorgeous inground pool in the French quarters! The breakfast selections were fantastic and Nina who was in charge of preparing it was awesome and would also make things off the menu like sunny side eggs or omlettes to order a well.

We had reserved cottage 7, an one bedroom suite with a beautifully appointed shared courtyard area. Our cottage was the one that John Audubon used as a studio to work. Our room had an amazing high ceiling. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the staff stocked our in room mini fridge with complimentary soda and water daily. All of the toiletries were luxurious and the bathroom was beautifully designed and massive! I loved that there was no posted pool usage hours so we were able to have a full day of sight seeing and excursions and then be able to come back and take a moonlit dip in the pool without any of the other guests bothering us!

I seriously cannot wait to be back here very soon!

Great property, although a little loud noise from the street all hours of the night. This is new orleans and is expected. Loved our cottage!

Secret gem in a perfect location. All I can say is "wow!", why didn't I know about this place before? We have stayed in the Quarter numerous times over the years, and prefer historic or unique properties with antique-type furniture. Our old favorites have either closed or switched to typical hotel room decor with a faint historic flair (I'm talking about you, Prince Conti Hotel!). The Audubon Cottages really fit the bill. Enter through a fairly nondescript door into another world - lush tropical semi-private courtyards off the stunning main courtyard. Each cottage is unique. The 2 bedroom units are stunning and huge. The bathrooms are modern but classic. Good water pressure for washing thick long hair. Everything was spotlessly clean. No weird or musty smells. The very welcoming and friendly staff was responsive and always available by phone or on-site. (It is not staffed 24/7, but help is only a phone call away). We parked at the Dauphine Orleans a block up the street, an affiliated property. We walked everywhere in the French Quarter including all the way to the end of the French Market, to the river, and up to Canal St. Nothing felt too far and we never felt unsafe (but always pay attention to your surroundings anywhere in NOLA these days!). You can be on Bourbon Street in 3 minutes. Yes, there was some street noise at night, mostly from cars with their outrageously loud and bass-filled sound systems. A small trade-off for being so close to the action! Bottom line, highly recommend Audubon Cottages.

So this is a bit of a hidden treasure, a small oasis in the middle of the French Quarter, evident only by a small brass plaque mounted in a nondescript wall between a series of green doors. Feels every bit like its 1920's roots, just a little bit down on its heels and worn; but charming and magical in its own way. Seven little individual cottages all with private brick patios surrounding a lovely small inground heated pool, all with mature grasses, flowers, palms and aged statuary, literally walled off from the hubbub and craziness of all that continues outside. Charming doesn't begin to do this little place justice. The small staff is dedicated, attentive, friendly and very special, all individuals with their own flavors and stories. Itbis not cheap, but we still felt it a reasonable value. It is part of a portfolio of properties. I would urge the owners to celebrate what makes this little gem all that it is and NOT mess too much with success.

A hidden gem in the French Quarter. Wonderful and accommodating staff. Cottage #3 is historic and well maintained with modern updates in the bathroom. The private courtyard a plus. A place where Elizabeth Taylor would come and stay.

We had our wedding ceremony at the Audubon Cottages on March 25th.
We could not believe how responsive the staff was. They not only graciously did everything we asked of them - including handling last minute changes - but went the extra mile, handling things we hadn't even thought of. Many, many thanks to Maria Celis and the staff. We will never forget our perfect wedding!

The place was very nice and had a wonderful courtyard with a heated salt water pool. Staff was very helpful and the rooms were beautiful. Location was nice as it was just a fee blocks from bourbon street

Great location, very comfortable and roomy cottages. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Only suggestion is to update some of the furnishings, which seemed a little worn.
