Wyndham Garden Summerville

Going into this I was a bit wary, as some of these reviews definitely don’t reflect our experience. We had a wedding to attend at Magnolia over the long weekend, and for the price, dates, and location? We really enjoyed our stay. The updated look of the lobby and bar/restaurant area almost made us forget we were staying at an inn. We had our 8 year old and our 4 month old with us — the room was spacious enough where we weren’t all on top of one another, even had enough space in our 2-queen-bed room to set up the pack n play. We were on the 4th floor, and we didn’t hear anyone above or beside us the entire time. Being a hospitality veteran myself, I typically go up and screen the rooms first when we travel wherever we stay, to avoid potentially bringing home any unwanted hitchhikers (the dreaded BBs) and the room was spotless, everything was clean and well-stocked. We had a minifridge, microwave, keurig, an ironing board and iron, and a hair dryer at our disposal. All of the employees were kind and helpful, from the front desk to the bartender, and the housekeeping staff were all very lovely. It was conveniently located near a bunch of shopping centers, so we didn’t have to scramble too far to pick up last-minute things for our event. Breakfast was included too, buffet style, and it was pretty standard — eggs, bagels, hash browns, muffins.
The next time we’re in Charleston, we’ll likely choose to stay at this property again. It was an overall good experience and it didn’t break the bank.

Exceptional hotel and Front desk staff. The room was comfortable and quiet. The breakfast choices were great, some of the breakfast morning staff could smile a little more but overall did their job. Location is pretty much centralized and is part of a stretch of hotels. There was an incident where the police were called filling the parking lot due to some action from the hotel next door which had nothing to do with the Wyndham. Overall a wonderful hotel and stay. I recommend staying here if planning a trip to Summerville or Moncks Corner. 5 out of 5 stars.

Things started off not so good. Our room was not ready until 5pm (check-in is 3pm). They were short on house keeping staff. Then our key didn't work. Then the night guy (after we had already checked in) marked us a no show. and the next morning house keeping came to our door to clean the room because it was marked as dirty and no one there. But They totally made it right. Discounted our room, included the breakfast, and everyone was just sooo nice. I can't remember they names but when I do I will try to come back and list them here. We would TOTALLY stay there again.

I have stayed at this hotel several times. For one, of course, they are pet friendly! That’s one of the first things on my checklist because I always have my dog with me. They are more than happy to welcome your pet and they don’t charge an arm and a leg to keep him/her with you. The price fluctuates, but it stays within a decent range. They have the standard towel, wash cloth, hand towel already in the room as well as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion and a facial bar soap. I personally like that they don’t come everyday trying to come in and clean my room while I’m staying. If I want fresh towels/sheets, they ask that I put the used ones right outside my door and they will be replaced with fresh ones. They also have the option to get breakfast included with your stay or you can purchase it. It’s not the typical continental breakfast, but it is a pretty large plate of food. You can choose what you want, but they make your plate for you either to dine at the tables or in a to-go plate. They also have a bar that you can also order food from. I love their bartender! He is so sweet and remembers us and what we usually order.

The only thing I guess I would say is the rooms could use a little TLC. The shower heads are worn out and the bathroom fixtures and countertops are in need of repair. As well as the base board in the rooms, but it’s only small things like that.

Our room was skipped over so we had to empty our own trash and go to the front desk for fresh towels.

Very nice hotel. No issues aside from short of help. Towels we’re exchanged but rooms not made up daily due to help shortages. Would definitely stay here again though. Well run.

Perfect location. Right off of 26. There are plenty of restaurants around. Good breakfast. Staff is friendly. The on site bar has an amazing bartender. This was our 6th stay. Always great. We will be back.

The room was pleasant looking out on their pool area. Unfortunately I was unable to really explore the hotel since I was under a Covid19 quarantine. But the staff was helpful in small ways, bringing ice down to leave outside the door when I asked. The same was true for other amenities coffee and tea were big ones.

Everything was great here from the cleanliness of the rooms to the management and staff. It's pet friendly which is really nice. I don't want to forget the breakfast is excellent. The people here work really hard, and it shows. My wife and I thank you!

This is the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. The decor and layout was inviting and tasteful and the amenities were nice, aside from the pool being out of commission. The staff was very helpful and pleasant, including the housekeepers who do an impeccable job. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the linens were clean. I was very satisfied with my 2 night stay here and will return.

Stayed here on November 10, 2018 in a handicapped room. It was the cleanest hotel room I have ever stayed in. The sink is wheelchair accessible, so open underneath, and I noticed when I leaned down to blow-dry my hair that the bottom of the sink and all the pipes were spotless. WHITE bedspread without a smudge, a spot, or a stain. The heater/air conditioner didn't rattle, but it heated the room in just a few minutes. I am amazed. When you add courteous and competent help to such comfortable surroundings, you just can't ask for more.

10/10 experiment.

Clean and well equipped. This hotel is slightly higher priced than other nearby lodging, but significantly more pleasant to stay in. Each room has a single serve keurig and a few k cups. Bedding felt clean and premium. The check in process was painless and pleasant. If in the area again, I would definitely stay at this location.

Surprisingly nice for the area and price! This property was recently renovated and looks very nice and modern. Also, they are dog friendly here and readily accept your furry friends. In the hotel there is a little bar and bistro with an extremely friendly and personable bartender. This is a good location with many places to eat nearby within walking distance. Definitely the best hotel in this area.

Nice rooms and a great pool. Was surprised it went to 8 ft. Most only go to 6

The dude at the check in desk was great even though we were annoying and didn’t wait for them to unlock the pool and hopped the fence. Sorry. The room was nice. There’s a pretty bar area downstairs. And everything was very clean. Thank you!

This hotel was way worth the price they charged! Check in was very smooth and the receptionist was very helpful and professional. The staff was very nice. Our room was very clean. The only issue I had was the desk looked like it wanted to collapse and the shower curtain didnt have a liner. Which meant the floor got wet every time we showered. But I was very pleased with the stay!

The room was excellent. The price was very good and found it on Agoda. The restaurant was great and the restaurant staff was excellent. We will be staying here if necessary in the future. Highly recommend it for your next visit to the area.

Great room, good rates, clean and friendly atmosphere. When we first checked in our air conditioner wasn't working they immediately sent maintenance to our room. They put a new ac unit in took only about 20 minutes.

We've been here for two nights and one day. So far it has been a great stay clean rooms great staff fresh hot breakfast nice lounge area and dinner area. Rooms are spacious and clean. They accommodated our request for 6rooms last minute for two weeks where one of the nieghboring property's said they would and then never called me back. I may start staying with Wyndam again.
