Taste of New York Pizza

Pizza by the slice is pretty good. Neapolitan and buffalo chicken. I liked how they warmed it up properly to get it good and crisp.

One bite, everybody knows the rules. 7.3?

I ordered too large pizzas one with pepperoni which was awesome 100% one with sausage & Bacon but easy onions I felt like there were too many onions, however they took it back and made me one with less onions, and it was Awesome! Excellent customer Service! Thank you!!

The food was outstanding with the best, authentic NY pizza around. Large portions and service was outstanding. When visiting the area, I always go here. Outstanding!

Price - $4-5 a slice but they're huge
Atmosphere - cool NY vibe but a really small space. They must do a lot of carry out as there's only like 4 tables. No bathrooms either.

Great food- as a New Yorker- I can say I love their pizza here !!

Best New York pizza in the USA in my opinion. Their large pizzas are probably 50% bigger than most pizzeria's pizzas!!

BEST pizza in town! I’m your basic pepperoni pizza gal…their pizza is hands down the best one I’ve tried. I usually get one slice and a salad, those two things pair together so well….*chefs kiss*
When it’s a take out night, we do pepperoni and a margharita pizza. My brother LOVES the margarita pizza. Did I mention their garlic knots are also so good?! If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. Now…I know we’re all about food reviews and how good it is but I must say that the employees at Taste Of New York are so kind and generous! They truly are on top of everything and make sure that you are completely satisfied when you leave. Great food, great staff and a clean restaurant overall, it can’t get any better than that!!!!! 100% recommend this location!!

I've spent a fair amount of time in NY and on the east coast. I was so excited when I discovered Taste of New York. Not only is the pizza actually NY style, (which isn't better or worse than any other style, I love all lies!!) I loved the staff and the experience of ordering. Drop in and grab yourself a slice! Amazing crust, exactly the right thickness and crispiness. Great toppings, including stuff you might have a harder time finding in NY, like Hawaiian (east coast pizzerias are very picky about toppings). I felt like I was back in the big city, just missing the hustle and bustle. Stop in. You won't regret it.

I recently visited Taste of New York Pizza and was transported straight to the streets of New York City. The garlic knots were the perfect start to the meal and the rice balls were the real deal! The staff was also incredibly friendly and accommodating, which made me feel like I was truly sitting in a New York pizzeria. Overall, if you're looking for authentic New York-style pizza and atmosphere, Taste of New York Pizza is the place to go!

Very good pizza, NY style thin crust- but was very large. Filled 3 people (I stuffed a lot) + 2 huge pieces left. For reference I can almost eat half a dominos or Little Caesars large on my own.

Dine- In is limited, very small location (handful of tables).
Around $30 for pizza (large + 3 toppings) and 2 drinks

Came here with cross country team. Service was super fast and food was phenomenal. The staff are super friendly and they even gave us free slices!!

Amazing food and great staff! Very attentive & knowledgeable and the food is out of this world. The garlic knots are great for any time - mid day snack or as a side with our meals. Try the money bag pasta and rice balls… to die for! And, of course, the pizzas are all fantastic! If you’re longing for a taste of the Big Apple, or just want great Italian food, this is it.

Went in for lunch and got a slice of the lasagna pizza. It was really good. The guy behind the counter was helpful.

Everything was absolutely delicious, great workers, highly recommend if you love pizza. The pizza was perfect, the dough wasn't undercooked for the crust toppings were perfect ratio to the size of slice you get. It was just all around amazing.

At first I was hesitant paying 29$ for a pizza. But after I learn New York Style pizza is so LARGE I figured I would give it a shot.
Both my wife and I thought it was the best pizza we have ever eaten in the des moines metro area.

I had the honor and privilege of being one of the first 100 customers at this location. There was plenty of selection for pizza and I went with the buffalo chicken which was very, very good. Not as spicy as I'd personally prefer, but I understand spice is a slippery slope. A slice is the perfect portion for a lunch.

Absolute legends here 🙌 picked up a pie and some apps today, staff is friendly and food is unmatched. TONY is the ultimate pizza out here in Iowa- we're from Philly and this is proper east coast style pizza. We're so thrilled to have a location closer to home! Love these guys!!

The pizza is always amazing but we tried their garlic knots and fried ravioli for the first time and holy cow, SO GOOD. Service was spot on, per usual!

Waukee is lucky to have Taste of New York Pizza in their own backyard. This is something you would find in Brooklyn & not in Waukee. Very easy to grab one of their lunch specials over lunch. They have a drive-thru pizza lane, too. That's unheard of. In less than five minutes, you can be on the road with the best slice of pizza anywhere near Des Moines. Don't sleep on this Waukee. This is the real deal.
