Hy-Vee Grocery Store

This place is always friendly and welcoming. Their breakfast is always hot, fresh, and delicious. Every time I eat here it’s delicious but their breakfast takes the cake for me! This store has everything I need and is definitely my Hyvee. I definitely love this store.

Great selection and amazing customer service! Kylie was very helpful offered to schedule a regular shipment of the Plant- Based Ensure that I went there to get so that it's always in stock because it's hard to find.

I've only stopped into this location a handful of times, as with all Hy Vee stores, it was clean and the staff helpful and friendly.

Great looking pork chops. No one could tell me if the pork was all natural and locally grown. Great chocolate milk from Anderson Erikson. Great value for your dollar.

Hy-Vee on the corner of Grand and Railroad in Des Moines is my main grocery store for most of my shopping. I know the layout and can usually get in and out in under 20 minutes with everything I came for and a few things I didn't.

Went in for just a few things, ended up buying more than I needed, but the employees were very helpful and showed me a lot of sale items.

This location is the cleanest, most orderly and visually pleasing Hy-Vee that I visit. The employees are helpful and pleasant too, a plus, that many of their stores are lacking! The gigantic gumball machine in the candy isle is super fun to see as well!

I had a very good shopping experience this time. I go shopping in a good mood & a smile on my face. I'm just a happy person. Every store must train employees with customer service as #1. If you don't know something, find out. I'd like to see someone watching Self-Checkout all the time. Service isn't good there. When a customer has a problem with an item's price, HyVee has always apologized & not charge the customer for it. Many people leaving comments are having that problem. All in all, I will keep shopping here. It's my store! Thanks for listening!

Update: This is my store, I live around the corner, I used to frequent the Windsor Heights location because it was closer to wk, but always preferred this one. Lately I avoid it. Selection and cleanliness are awesome. Also love the candy isle, my kids always beg to go. But the checkout?! It's TERRIBLE. Today there was only ONE checker and only 2 self-check "express" lanes open. My understanding was the self checkout was to help with low staffing. But there are NEVER any open. I had to use the express to check out my full cart because the one checker lane was so long. All the larger self check lanes are never open, the employees have been using it for storage or even product labeling station. I hope they open them soon, otherwise I'll just go to the other locations. All their lanes are open.

Older review: They have a wonderful assortment that other locations don't have. Tons of juice, coffee creamers, and spice isle to die for!

A great Hy-Vee. The customer service counter is always superb. Big shout out to LB at customer service. That gentleman is a gem. I can always find what I need. They have 4 large self checkout lanes for those who buy a lot of groceries. Makes getting groceries a breeze.

You can find all you in just one place at a good price

Tony is one of the nicest guys around this place. Love checking out with my beer and food on the liquor store side to say hi. Plus Bob the cashier up front is a sweet old man to have a quick chat with while he rings things up. Good people.
