Great room layout. Just enough furniture and amenities to make you very comfortable without being super luxurious and expensive. I appreciate the in-room details such as real glass and plates as well as ample storage space more comfortable beds and other property amenities you'll find listed on the site.
The bathrooms and showers are very nice, with adequate water pressure and absorbent if not soft towels. Beds were comfortable and linens clean and crisp and the room itself was in both good repair and well cleaned. It is a great location for an extended stay, and if you're traveling with your furry friends. ( Dog friendly )

Overall, I would definitely stay again, and I will look for this particular brand in my future travels.

I'm a frequent corporate traveler to this location for long stays, Kyrsten at the front desk, on days, is my current favorite staff member, very helpful every morning for anything I need. She's doing great.
The property has it flaws but pretty comparable to the average Marriott branded property in the region. The full size fridge and kitchenette make it feel more like an apartment and I like that. Makes the insanity of life on the road more bearable

Stopped here for a night on a road trip. The room was great - clean and comfortable. The front desk clerks were terrific. We will stay here again if we get the chance to pass through W Des Moines in the future.

In day light can find, but at night, since it is behind the mall, it can be tricky to find.

Location & surrounding areas are nice, close by to mall, foods & entertainment. Also close to MidRec Complex for tournament. Clean & well taken care of hotel, the room layout are well thought, functional & clean. Everything you need if you are considering long term stay - have kitchenette, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, sink, utensil, ironing board, desk to write, lots of cabinets. Warm breakfast are ok. Would definitely consider staying here again next time.

This has been, one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in in quite a while! I travel for work and am staying in a hotel at least 20 days a month. Breakfast was amazing. Coffee was very good. Service was out of this world when I checked in. No problem. Switching my room to a first floor room, no extra charge for my ESA animal. Is with me 24/7, no fuss. Signing me up for Marriott rewards, anything I asked about he didn't just point and say it's here or it's there. He got up and showed me where it was. That is something people don't do anymore! Easy check-in. Easy! Check out wonderful staff. Quiet location. The beds were amazing. Everything was clean and outstanding. My only complaint and it's not even about the hotel. I walked outside this morning and it smells so gross over here on this side of Des Moines I could about puke 🤢🤢🤢

Very friendly and accommodating staff. We were greeted with a smile even though it was during the rush of check-in. We are here for 4 days for a basketball tournament so having a refrigerator and microwave in our room helps with not eating out for every meal. I will definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel!

We stopped in Thursday night to see if there was availability last minute. The two women at the front desk were awesome and very personable (wish I would have gotten their names)! They were able to fit us in, apply our government ID for discount and got us checked in very quickly with no reservations! They recommended some places to eat and shop at too. We loved the local board in the lobby to help start that conversation. The room was so spacious and clean! Full fridge, stove, microwave, plates and glasses, even can and bottle openers! Great stay, we'll be back again when shopping in Des Moines!

We had a great experience. Lately we have had bad experience after bad experience with hotels and did a lot of searching and reading reviews to finally have a good experience and it paid off! We stayed in a one bedroom king suite. The room was super clean, perfect size and quiet. It was me my husband and our 1yr old. The breakfast had lots of options, hot and cold and was fully stocked right up until it ended. The pool is on the smaller side and pretty loud, but was perfect for our little family! Staff was friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed walking over to the mall in the evenings and there is a little lake. On Sunday nights they have live music. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will

I wish all hotel stays were this enjoyable! Even with its fairly compact space, the room was well-equipped with all the amenities of home. Additionally, I had a health issue with a family member that needed to be addressed ASAP and I was having an issue with one of the hotel's business area computers but the Operations Manager on duty, Mr. Gomez, went out of his way to ensure that everything was resolved and that I was taken care of. He was so friendly, genuinely kind, accommodating, and helpful throughout my entire stay. Thank you! It was a great stay!

The hotel was conveniently located to many shopping and dining locations. It was nicely decorated. The lighting fixtures could also be found at the Iowa Taproom downtown. The room was spacious, clean, and the beds were comfortable. The only negative of our whole stay was the lack of selection at the continental breakfast. Overall a great experience.

Clean, comfy, and pet friendly. Quite spacious and with an almost full sized kitchen, almost reminds me of a dorm room or small apartment.
Staff is extremely helpful and nice. Girlfriend took the dog out for the morning, staff gave the fuzzy a treat and a new toy!

I loved this hotel! Beginning was iffy since we booked through price line we we're not told we had to have a card on file just in case of damage an cards were at home: ( they made it so easy yo get authorized through email thank God!!! The room was so clean and had a full on kitchen! Like silver wear drawers pots pans plates cups mugs measuring cups an stove top flat range And full fridge. Home away from home! Bathroom closet was HUGE and the bed was soooo comfortable. Wish rates we're a little lower cause there us no guarantee through price line. But I plan on trying to stay every few months as a mini get away / life break. Best Valentine's day ever! <3

This was a very nice hotel. Very clean rooms. Allows pets, has a decent pool, the continental breakfast was really delicious. They also had two patios with fire pits at each with plenty of seating for I would say 20 people. It would be a great hangout spot if visiting friends or family.

TownePlace Suites is in a nice quiet corner of the mall parking lot, keeping the hotel quiet but still within walking distance of all that this premier Des Moines mall has to offer. The facility itself is top-notch. Immaculately clean lobby and rooms. Respectful, attentive front desk service that would not be out of place in swanky big-city girls, yet still retaining the genuine warmth that only the Midwest heartland folks can provide. The breakfast was par for the course as far as girls are concerned, yet it too was elevated by the ever-present and attentive staff, who even go as far as offering to help prepare and carry plates for guests who may have difficulty. Overall, an excellent stop, and one which I look forward to stopping at again I the return leg of my journey in a few days.

I really enjoy staying at this location. My home away from. Savannah and Derrick are always so kind and helpful at the front desk. If I ever need any help with the grill or need something to help my group cook, Bruce is always there for us. The cleaners do a great job too! So thankful to have come across this location.
