Had the opportunity to come into this long-time Brighton staple for a photoshoot. Owner Rafael was very courteous and helpful. If you are looking for some tasty chicken, sides, and various Mexican dishes, definitely stop in and give them a try!

Great Catfish. Was looking for something different than normal today, stumbled upon Joe's. Cool little strip mall spot.

Catfish meal was about $15 with fries and a biscuit. The Catfish was hot and made to order. Very good with their hotsauce.

Would easily come back for more. Great spot.

Okay so we just finished the birria pizza. Oh. My. Lord. This very well could be the best thing I’ve tasted in a very long time. That says a lot considering how much we love their chicken. I’m telling you the flavors were amazing and tasted totally authentic. I found my new favorite meal. Only negative thing is that this is not on their online menu. Hopefully it will be soon so more people can try it.

We've always loved the Chicken here, the Gumbo, the Deep Fried Pickle spears...
But now they have tacos, and I tried them for the first time this week.
2 steak and 1 marinated pork, and they were fantastic.
I admit, I opted for flour tortillas instead of the more traditional corn (I will next time), but they came with sauteed onions and a jalapeno, lime wedges, onions, and cilantro. Hot and mild (green) sauce on the side, these tacos are authentic and delicious.

Friendly, fast and F#@$ing spectacular! Excellent chicken reg or spicy, sides are on point. Didn't take long to get a smelt basket either. Awesome all around, great atmosphere I actually sat down and ate for a while.

I always get the best fried chicken here. It’s been incredibly fresh, flavorful and juicy!

Best chicken in town. I have think they recently changed ownership and I am so happy for that. At first the chicken needed some work after new ownership but is right back on track.and better than ever.

They now have the best Mexican food in town too! Brighton has a lot of Mexican restaurants but I'm a big fan of street tacos, like birrias. They are so good here. I've told friends and family how good it is and they agree, definitely best tacos and chicken in town. And they have discounts on Tuesday for Taco Tuesday 🤌 The new owner always tells you about new menu items or new specials coming out. Great guy and super happy for them.

My go to place for chicken and now Mexican!

Okay so first off don’t listen to the rude review and let me share an actual honest review. The gumbo was great very flavorful an not spicy at all. I did order spicey chicken meal though with baked beans and Mac and cheese. The have a lot of side options that’s just what I chose. Chicken was hot and fresh big decent pieces, actually could have used a bit more spiciness to it but still very good. The corn muffins were good too perfect lil sweetness to them and they were soft and fresh. Place was clean, others were in there ordering when I walked in nice atmosphere and I did have the chance of meeting the new owner also a very nice gentleman we had good convo about the food and what was to come. I asked him if they would be getting walking taco bags an he is, super excited about that cause they are hard to find around here lol. All in all I recommend you stop in there try the food out yourself, nice variation of options like ribs as well. They are trying something different and we could use it in this area. That’s my honest review and I will definitely be stopping there again.

I got the smelt meal, which I haven't had in a while, man did it hit the spot, tasted fresh and fried perfectly. Saw their new specials and will definitely go back to try them.

Best chicken in the area! Been coming here since I was a teen, so many many(many) moons ago and the quality has never wavered. Particularly delicious are the bacon broccoli cheddar bites and if you are having a no concern for calories day try out the deep fried ugly burger!

The new owners are rocking it out!! Love the new added real Spanish food! The food was absolutely delicious and the new owners are a delight to talk to! Definitely my new lunch spot!

I placed a To-Go order with Cajun Joe's at the time that MY WIFE was getting out of work. She picked ME up & WE headed there. The food was hot, delicious, & I had some even for later. The two young men that assisted ME were Very polite & kind! I wish I remembered their names to be able to give thanks directly to them.

Cajun Joe's has the best Chicken Tenders around, made to order and always tender, juicy with just the right amount of crispy. They were my favorite close to 20 years ago and still today. Since moving away from Michigan I have not been able to find Gumbo that compares to theirs anywhere aside from New Orleans. Also love the Fried Okra dipped in Hot Sauce. Everything I have ever ordered from Cajun Joe's is always fresh and delicious. One of the top places I look forward to eating at every visit home.

Stopped in yesterday and they either have a new cook or new management (or both) but the food and service were excellent. Felt like a different restaurant for the better.

I order for myself & my shop guys... the spicy chicken was amazing..just the right amount of spice. The baked beans were excellent.. I have no idea why some of the whiners below decided to write a bad review. I've always gotten good food from this location..never any complaint from my employees either.. Maybe the bad reviews are from people who could never be pleased?....like...never... :) Don't let those reviews sway whether you try them or not! The food is Great.

I have been eating here for over 10 years since I was a little boy (18 now) and the chicken here is awesome! The best chicken around! And prices are good! Lots of good options! And if you like cars like me you will be greeted by lots of old school car parts and pictures which is interesting. And place is clean. This is the best chicken I have ever had! Chicken is crispy and not super greasy like kfc.I highly recommend! Delicious chicken
