South Lyon Hotel

MY WIFE & I visited the South Lyon Hotel and rediscovered how Great it is! WE were able to experience the upstairs area. The food was great with ample servings, the drinks were great, and the service was superb. I even met Santa there and was able to have MY picture taken with Him. It was the day of the CHRISTmas Tree lighting, so He probably had His sleigh parked somewhere in the area!

We were exploring new areas and happened upon this gem! There’s a nice vibe, small town feel and friendly atmosphere waiting for you here! We had the prime rib dinner, the fish and chips and 6 drinks. Everything was delicious and priced right (all, plus leftovers, for under $70!)! Highly recommend!

I have gone to the South Lyon Hotel a couple times now. Both times were very positive experiences, with a casual, laid back vibe, with an elevated beer menu, and a wide range of food offerings.
The most recent time I got the reuben. While it had a nice over all taste, and was obviously fresh, it seemed to lack some of the natural saltiness of corned beef. Very small problem with a quick and apparent solution. The salt shaker.
Overall a very good experience. I go up to South Lyon once a month to play poker with a buddy and a bunch of guys up there. Be assured of my continued support of this distinctive establishment.

My wife and I went with a good friend based on her recommendation. We were very pleased!

Although the restaurant was noisy it was nice because it was busy serving customers.

I had the "Hotel Reuben" sandwich which was delicious! It is advertised that there is a 1/2 pound of meat on the sandwich, and while I didn't bring a scale, it was every bit of 8 Oz.

We will be going back again sometime very soon.

Wow! Such a great experience. Corey made us feel super welcomed. We sat on the upstairs patio, very comfortable. Waitress was friendly/attentive and the food came out fast. Food was AWESOME! Fries very crispy and burger cooked perfect. We will definitely be back!

Hosted a baby shower for 55 people. Staff was so personable, food was very good & we were able to decorate how we wanted. Can’t thank South Lyon Hotel enough!

Some of the best mac and cheese in South Lyon! I got mine with no peppers, but don't be afraid to get a little crazy with it! Fantastic service with fantastic company. This restaurant is a gem of South Lyon with a wild history, be sure to look into it... pretty interesting. So glad they were able to rebuild after the fire. Love this place, love this food, love these prices!

We rented out the room upstairs for a class reunion and it was great! Reasonably priced delicious food, drinks, and a great atmosphere. We had ordered both cold and hot appetizer options for our party and both were equally fresh and tasty. The staff were amazing and on top of our every need throughout the evening. For such a large party (over 75 people), the service was second to none. Our server remembered everything and worked incredibly hard for us. Couldn't recommend more highly!!

Very spacious...games for kids and adults. Plenty of food too, giant sized pizzas from what I see. Turkey burger and curly fries never fails me.

The fried green tomato BLT was great! Definitely enjoyed the waffle fries with house made ranch. Friends enjoyed the shareable nacho skillet, they even customized a vegetarian version for my wife. The cocktails were great, had a few Negronis made with Tanqueray Gin. Good service with outside dining options as well.

Nice place! We were biking on the trail and in town and stopped for a drink. We sat outside and had a great waitress! I had a couple of beers while my wife had wine. The atmosphere was great! We will be back another time to check out inside and their food. Check it out!

This was our first time here, the owner (Corey) made us feel very welcomed! The service was amazing. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was great too! Loved everything about it and highly recommend. We will definitely be back.

Love eating here. Food is fabulous. Service is great. We meet our daughters and their families here for dinner.

Today I had their soup of the day, chicken and dumpling. It was delicious! The broth was the perfect thickness and was loaded with layers of flavor. The dumplings were homemade and were wonderfully plump with a perfect texture.

Food was great and so were the margueritas. Waitstaff was terrific. I just thought the noise was a little loud, you could hardly talk with the people you are with.

Great place to eat if you're in the area. None of our party had a complaint about the food or service. Nice atmosphere. I recommend the Grown Up Mac and Cheese!

Good food average price. Good atmosphere, good kind staffing.

It's the place to go. Everything on the menu is good. The deserts are made in house and amazing. Drinks are actually drinks, not ice and mixer. The staff is awesome. May have to park a few lots over, but worth it.

Shared a corned beef reuben, onion rings, and dessert. Great flavors, generous portions, and no up-charge for sharing. We ate at the bar and the bartender was super friendly (I wish I could remember her name!).
Highly recommend!!!
