If you love American fare and a bit of variety at the same time this is the place to go. Also the number of beers on tap is great! They have things on the menu that are honestly unique which I really appreciate. Service was good and fast. We will definitely be coming back to try other things on the menu.

Went here on a busy Friday night with friends. We had a varied selection of food, everyone enjoyed. The beer selection was also very good. Our waitress was polite and attentive, although very very busy. Food was out quickly. The entrees were good, but the desert (captains bomb with peanut butter cup) is excellent. Really, it's a menace to society. If you don't get anything else anywhere else, buy this desert. Go now if they're open.

Management was present at the front of house and checked in on us a couple of times to make sure we were happy. This is always a good sign. We were visiting from out of state and took too long at our table, but were not rushed or given the look.

As a long time customer, I just have to say this place is getting better and better. Last night’s dinner was one of the best and it was thoroughly enjoyed! It is a ‘special’ and special it is. Lobster Seafood Linguini. To die for! Lobster, scallops, shrimp, spinach in a light sauce over linguini.
The place was busy and our service was extraordinary. The cocktails were yummy. My experience, Captain Joe’s has upped their game.
Looking forward to the patio opening and the live music of Marsha and Will.

Stopped in on Memorial Weekend after an Art Fair. No wait, the staff was great. Our food came quick and hot! Loved the fish and chips and the lake perch was loved too! Our host, Ray, is such a gem!

We took our son and a couple of his friends before their dance. Tara was our waitress, she was amazing! She was attentive, and very on top of things. Definitely recommend.

Many options to choose from. We started with calamari which was very good. My favorite however was the jambalaya. My wife said the New Orleans Medley was also very good. We shared a cup of clam chowder soup that was also delicious. Not sure when we will get back to this area. If we do, we will definitely considering going here again.

A gem of a restaurant in Whitmore Lake. Large menu with great choices of American, Mediterranean, & seafood to choose from.
Staff very friendly & attentive. Large area of outdoor patio seating.

Tonight I stopped by to try something new. Great service at the bar. As usual. I got the large Fatoush salad w/chicken. Wowza. I usually do the shrimp on Monday or Tuesday with specials but didn’t this time. So damn good.

As always one of the best places to eat and drink and get excellent service. Prime ribs are prime. Ribeye Steaks is done perfectly medium rare carb cakes were absolutely delicious and the asparagus from heaven. Andrea our server treated us like family. Highly recommend this place

I really enjoy eating and drinking here when I'm passing through. Great food cold drinks specials on menu. I had house melody shrimp. Nice blackened spice on shrimp. Spicy but not to hot just perfect for me with a good cold IPA 🍺

Lived in Livingston Count for years and can't believe we just discovered this restaurant with awesome food. Can't wait to go back and try other dishes. My husband raved about the Angus hamburger and I loved the blackened shrimp, served with rice pilaf and adparagus.

Had the fish tacos they were great. Wife had the pork tenderloin medallions they must be good it is her third time having them.

We love this place the food is always good and the wait staff is exceptional. We celebrate birthdays and love going in the summer and sitting in the patio area.

Was in there lastnight Nov 4 2023 I had great service food was great as well. Besides service oodles and hospitality your female manager in the front of house needs a talking to she shouldn't be yelling at staff in the middle of the resraunt over something stupid as a few empty glasses or the restraunt to hear I think that is wrong to do for everyone to hear that's not right over something like that she could o talked to them in back not how managers suppose to act and be in a pissy mood when walking around talking to customers.other than that everything as great

Had dinner here Friday night after traveling from Gaylord, 3 hours north. Food was AWESOME!!!!

Great spot. Great to watch games on multiple tvs. Huge menu. Really enjoyed chicken shawama! Great service!

The calamari appetizer was amazing. Hubby and I both loved our meals. The capers in my sauce for the perch was just perfect.

Great place to eat. Had work lunch here 2 days in a row because they have great food and fast, pleasant service for lunch.

Captain Joe's is a great bar and grill with a huge patio for soaking up the afternoon sun while sipping on your favorite beverage. The menu is extremely broad and definitely has something for everyone!

me and my friends really enjoyed this sports bar, the service was good, plenty of TV's and most importantly the food was very good. I would definitely recommend one of the burgers.
