Always good. Probably the best place to go in Brighton. Definitely the only place for sushi in Brighton. If you like sushi, do you really need a review? just go already!

This was the best sushi place I havr ever been to. It was obviously packed with people but the taste and service was top notch.

I’ve been eating at this place since it opened years ago. To this day, consistently the best! Amazing sushi and service, always. Sushi zen makes life better.

Sushi Zen is the best sushi spot near me! I've tried other highly rated sushi restaurants, but none compare to the quality of Sushi Zen! The front staff are always quick to greet and help, and the waiters/waitresses are very friendly and professional. The sushi itself is amazing quality and always fresh!
My only complaint would be how close the seating arrangements are.
Overall, I love the preparation skills of the chefs and presentation never fails!

Came here with an avid sushi lover and he was just as impressed as I was! Our sushi rolls came on a giant boat?? It was amazing. What was even more amazing was the taste. Super fresh and everything we ordered was so delicious. Service was impeccable, facilities were super clean, and overall a perfect experience. We will definitely be regulars from now on!

Great service and a great choice to try sushi for the first time. I would highly recommend the new York roll as it is by far my favorite roll. If your trying for the first time though my recommendation is to order a chefs surprise during lunch for a good variety at a cheaper price along with 2 roll one simple and one tempura roll.

Shar was our server for our first time visiting Sushi Zen. She was so attentive and patient with my 3 small children. The sushi recommendations Shar gave were phenomenal. The Leche margaritas was also delicious. 👌 we will definitely be back!

Been coming here for years and it never disappoints. Service is always great. Food is well above par. Pricing is reasonable for what you're getting. I grew up in the area and have been to many sushi joints in metro Detroit. I currently live out near Lansing and I've tried many places out there. This is still my favorite hands down. I will make the trek just to come here. Would highly recommend to anyone!

A favorite of ours in Brighton! Sushi Zen servers are always friendly and attentive. We eat here at least twice a month (lunch, dinner, or takeout) and the food is consistent, delicious, and well priced! I highly recommend their veggie love roll!

I recommend the Ruby, Blizzard, and Sakura rolls. They came with soups and salads. Everything was great and tasty. The service and atmosphere were wonderful.

This is the best sushi in the state of Michigan.

We come here so much that we don’t even order specifics anymore; the boys at the sushi bar could serve us anything and we’d eat it no questions.

I never cared for sushi until coming to Sushi Zen and now I would gladly eat just here for the rest of my life.

We went during lunch on Thursday, they got busy. But our server, Lucia, did a great job. No mess ups (that I saw) with 12 people all on separate bills. And we got there about 11:30 and cashed out a little after 12:30.

This is our go to spot for sushi in Brighton! The first time I came here it took me 20 minutes just to browse the menu! We ended up asking our waiter what the best options were, he gave us excellent recommendations. We will be back!

Came back 3/2/23 - still the same great service, food and atmosphere! They even made specialty gluten free, veggie friendly and pregnancy friendly menus!!! So thoughtful!!! After living near Brighton for a few years we still choose this sushi spot over others!!!

I’ve been coming to sushi zen for years- it’s an absolute must go when I’m in town. I came tonight with my family and had yet again another amazing experience. Kara was an awesome server, so friendly and attentive. The food was amazing as always. 1000% recommend to anyone in the area!

Sushi zen is my go to sushi restaurant in Brighton when I'm in the area. Everything from the sushi, spicy chicken, and bento boxes are delicious. The prices are reasonable and not anything crazy either. Staff is also great, only down side is that dinner time it gets pretty busy so expect a wait during dinner time.

Love sushi zen! The food is always amazing, and the staff are so friendly and willing to provide recommendations. The restaurant is clean and the sushi always tastes fresh! Me and my husband won’t get sushi from anywhere else. They even have a pregnancy safe menu which was nice and gave me peace of mind when eating here while pregnant.

Awesome local sushi joint. Fantastic thick cuts, great atmosphere. Huge menu! Make sure you order the warmed sake such a good paring. If you can make reservations, it gets busy in the evening.

I was here in Michigan visiting from St. Louis. My daughter and I were looking for a sushi place. One place we tried had over an hr wait time and we were unable to go. So we came across this place. The sushi was AMAZING and the waitress was so nice. They closed at 10, but we arrived at 9:30. Even though it was late and they were closing soon, we were treated as though we were the first customers of the day. The flavors were amazing. I'm so happy this is where we ended up even though it was our 2nd choice. Definitely would recommend!

I found this place thanks to a review on their kamakazi sushi roll🥳 (the location doesn't do this place justice) everything about this place is great, nice music, very kind service and workers, the interior is beautiful clean spacious and relaxing. the bathroom is also nice and very clean and relaxing as well. the food is amazing😍 the kamakazi was definitely my favorite. The kids meal was such a generous portion, I was surprised. our specific server David was beyond great, very friendly and even helped my daughter scoot her chair in. He made small talk and detailed helpful suggestions when we asked and never made us feel rushed which I think is highly important, I don't like feeling rushed and inconvenient when visiting a restaurant especially a new one that I'm not familiar with. He also helped clean up my daughter's spill, he made us feel comfortable and welcome and when it came to be busy he made sure not to forget us and still made sure we were taken care off. I highly recommend getting the sake bomb with a friend! We didn't know what it was and it was so fun and it was really good too!
This was such a good experience that my friend and I decided we'll be coming more often and making a sake bomb tradition.
The miso soup is also really good and i love the salad and their ginger dressing 🤤🤤
