Came for sausage biscuits and gravy. I may never leave :). Wow, these are awesome! All the other food passing by the table looks great, too!

Day 2: We came back! Just as good as I dreamt of them last night. Pictures this time.

Very nice neighborhood restaurant, it's just a few blocks from the house. Great food!!! The food is like waking up on a Sunday morning to grandma cooking. They have many different coffee and tea options. If you eat clean they have options. If you eat meat they have your covered. If you are a vegan you'll enjoy the options here. If you are a vegetarian you'll be good eating here.
Friendly staff.

My first time here today, and I ordered the Deep South Skillet breakfast for carryout. OMG, it was so delicious! The staff were friendly. I will be back soon 😋

Best. Breakfast. Ever.
The cup of grits is smooth and creamy, seasoned to perfection. Stop looking for decent east coast grits and just go to Algiers Point. In the photos the biscuit looks dark. It is perfect, exceedingly light and fluffy and delicious. Don't miss this.

Let me start off my saying if we hadn't stayed on this side of the river, I doubt we would've found this hidden gem. We were in town for 4 mornings and ate breakfast here every single morning. We didn't want to go anywhere else. The owners are so kind and welcoming. And, the food. Lots of choices from basic breakfast meals to breakfast with a Louisiana twist! The etouffee with grits and eggs was phenomenal! Boudin dish was great. The quiche was my personal favorite. So flavorful and delicious!

This review was long overdue. This was a great find for us. We were in New Orleans for a couple of days. Algiers point is a must see when you are in New Orleans, with its beautiful french style houses and quiet neighborhood. It's just so beautiful by the Mississippi river. And this breakfast cafe is the best there is to get some amazing breakfast. It's a really popular cafe, both with locals and tourists. It was almost occupied when we got there. We had bar stools by the window. They make some fresh beans espresso and other coffees. The fresh smell of coffee filled the cafe. We ordered some coffee, pancakes and the Poche, which was eggs and andouille sausage with sauce on grits and boy it was delicious. The andouille sausage was so good, I still have that taste on my mind. The grits was amazing, too. I had never been a fan of grits but they made me love that grits. The whole combination was so sumptuous. It was great. The pancakes were amazing, too. They were fluffy and tasted amazing. I enjoyed the breakfast so much I left my car keys behind and by the time I remembered my keys were missing, I was on the other side of the river and the place was already closed. Good thing about New Orleans is the public transportation is really good. I had parked my car at the hotel. I went back next morning and the owner had safely kept my keys. It was hot when I got there. She offered me chilled water. She was real nice. This place is a must go when you are in Algiers point. Can't recommend this place enough!!!!

Great local breakfast spot. Even when there’s a line, service is fast. Very affordable and high quality food. They normally have a gluten free muffin or pastry option as well.

I was visiting NOLA in September 2022, before going on a cruise. My girlfriend and I stayed in a VRBO home a couple blocks away. It is an amazing, homey, quaint cafe with a big menu to choose from. The portions are huge and delicious. The art on the walls are from local artists and most of them are for sale! If you get a chance stop and have breakfast, you won’t regret it. The avocado toast was delicious! I’ve even recreated it since I came home from my trip.

Really welcoming and warm and the food is fantastic.

I recommend getting banana chocolate chip pancakes as they are the best pancakes I’ve ever had. If I ever get to go to Algiers Point again this is going to be my first stop :)

Neat atmosphere, terrific food, good coffee. We split an order of the "Deep South" with potatoes, biscuit, gravy and eggs, plus cinnamon rolls. Highly recommend. Took the ferry from Canals St.

Grill cheese and tomato soup hit the spot just right. Fun place to grab something to eat, to meet a friend or just to grab a cup of coffee.

Lovely place! In a quiet neighborhood so it's not packed when I got here. The price is kinda high ($27 for 2 plus tip) but it's worth it. I got the Poche which is boudin with 2 eggs and grits and it was amazing. Staff is really friendly and quick. Just a sweet little gem in NOLA.

The food is awesome, great tasting! I have never had anything that wasn't delicious and tasty in this place. Pastries are always fresh, and the coffee is strong, but smooth. Come once and the owner will remember you and your favorite drink kind of place.

The food is great! I always get the Atchafalaya. It’s a crawfish étouffée over grits and eggs. Also tried the banana pancakes delicious. on Sundays is usually very crowded so they may be awake but you can always do a phone order and take it to go.
