Whether you’re stopping by after visiting the Audubon Zoo or going directly to it, the Tree of Life is worth visiting at least once! Being somewhere between 100-500 years old, the tree is a popular and free to see attraction. Be mindful when planning your visit! The Tree of Life is located off of East Dr, which is a one way road towards Magazine St.

Attached are a few photo sessions that I had there. Captured by Firmin’s Photos!

I can say the pictures do not do it justice. It is located in a park next to the zoo. Park has several other trees that were almost as grand, but this one by far was beautiful to say the least.

Probably one of our favorite places in the neighborhood. Beautiful oaks that take you back in time. An amazing place to bring a dog or just enjoy the sunshine! Couldn’t recommend this place enough!!

Such a quiet and peaceful place. Right around the corner from the Zoo (we parked at the zoo before they opened and walked to the tree). Was not crowded, no-one else was there. Absolutely magical to be under this giant Oak.

Beautiful tree! We attended a wedding here and it was so beautiful all around. I do know they had to pay a fee prior to reserve it. We absolutely loved it. Park was easy to find. Several parking spaces available. We didn’t stay long so not too sure if they had bathrooms available.

A truly magical experience. Came during the afternoon and had to come back at sunset because it was so beautiful. I nearly started crying as it felt like a spiritual, breathtaking moment to be in the presence of such a powerful and old tree. So glad I made the trip here.

This place will always be close to Ritu and my heart as we performed our wedding ceremony here. It says you require a permit if you want to perform an event here and we got a permit but no one asked us for any proof at the location.

There was a wedding picture session going on when I stopped by, so I didn't get as close as I wanted to. However, it was a beautiful area and I see why people choose to have weddings there. The area was also very clean and easy to get to. I recommend other stop by to stand in awe of this magnificent tree.

If you're visiting the zoo, it's worth the trip around the side of the walls. Also, make sure to check out the Labyrinth in Audubon Park next door!

What a magical and beautiful tree. The energy radiates and emits this calming peace. You can feel it when you're near the tree. I was literally drawn to it. I'm glad that I got to witness such a grand tree. The sun shining thru it. The Spanish moss gently dangling from the limbs in the breeze. It has an undeniable calming effect on those whom are in tune to her it. It is over 10 times as old as I am.

This tree is amazing!!!! There are at least a dozen other massive oak trees near that big one. Makes a great place for pictures.

Beautiful tree with a nice sign explaining how they keep this massive tree alive. Fun for all ages and awe inspiring. If you have the time to stop by there is parking along the street that you can use or you can park in the parking area for the park and take the 15 minute walk. I enjoyed the lorax sign posted by the tree telling people to be mindful of how they treat the area.

This is a hidden gem. We only found it because Waze rerouted us because of traffic. Talk about a great place for photo ops. This tree is gorgeous and if your going to the zoo just check it out next door. This is an absolute must see if you are looking for photos opportunities, or want to see this tree.
