Just Be - The Beauty Room

I booked my daughter’s 8th birthday party at Effie’s beautiful studio. We were able to have the studio to ourselves and play Taylor Swift music! She painted the girls nails, gave them each colored hair clip-on, lipstick, blush and glitter tattoos. She also did a photo shoot and took individual pictures of the girls using Taylor Swift props and group photos. The girls all had a blast! My daughter had the best birthday party - I can’t thank Effie and her team enough for making it so special and memorable! I highly recommend Just Be - the Beauty Room if you are looking for a special place for your next party!

This was one of the best business experiences we've ever had in Boston. Effie agreed to do a photo-shoot for our 30th wedding anniversary along with all of our kids at Fenway Park. Her professionalism and her efforts to make this event very personal was unbelievable. Effie's preparation ahead of time, along with her instincts and talent, allowed to her to capture a lifetime memory in the most unique way. In addition to the beautiful photos, Effie put a custom slideshow together set with music. As our family watched it, we were flooded with tears. Effie is so creative and incredibly talented. However, the best thing about working with her is her beautiful spirit and friendliness. Effie makes her work very personal, and after this experience with her, she feels like a part of our family.

Love going to Effie to have my hair done. She has been doing my hair for the last 15 years. I never go anywhere else! My 16 year old daughter goes here now too. We both look forward to our time with Effie being pampered. She goes above and beyond , not just as a hairdresser but as a great person. Effie treats us like family not just as customers. This was a really wonderful experience to get a haircut from Effie. She turned my quarantine hair into a beautiful shape, look, and feel! It had been a while since I got a hair cut and she helped me figure out what would work well for me. And she was so personable so we had a nice time! I'd absolutely work with Effie again.

I have gotten to know the owner, Effie, since the start of her business and have been a customer since! I have gone to her for hair, photography AND makeup services.

When it comes to getting my hair done, I never really had a go-to stylist as an adult but once I met Effie, she became my go-to. I've gotten several haircuts and hair coloring (highlights/balayage) done by her so far. I've often gotten compliments on my hair color, even months after getting it done! I love the inviting environment of her studio/salon and her friendly personality makes the experience so much better every time - she almost instantly becomes your friend. Over the past couple of years, I've recommended her services to my sisters. I also love that she stays up to date by taking classes to learn and practice her techniques or other ways to bring more talent to her services.

In terms of photography, she has photographed my professional headshots and most recently, she helped me execute the vision I had for my birthday photoshoot! She has a way of making you feel comfortable, especially for someone like me, where posing is not something that comes natural to me. The birthday photoshoot was SO much fun from the planning to the actual shoot day!

I'd absolutely recommend going to Just Be for your hair, photography and makeup needs. I already look forward to going to her again for my next visit!

Went here on a whim last week. My barber was on vacation and I needed a haircut. The girl working there was able to squeeze me in. Not only was it a great cut, but I am now considering this place over my barber. She took her time to give me a quality cut and I will definitely be coming back to Just Be again!
