I have always wanted to come here, especially for my background in engineering. This place is full of history and technology. It's a very big place which has a lot of beautiful gardens and amazing buildings

During my recent visit to MIT, I was immersed in an atmosphere of cutting-edge innovation and intellectual curiosity. The campus buzzed with energy as students hurried between impressive buildings that housed advanced laboratories and lecture halls. Engaging discussions with faculty members highlighted the institution's commitment to pushing the boundaries of knowledge. The palpable sense of collaboration and the sight of students deeply engaged in their projects underscored MIT's reputation as a hub for technological advancement. Witnessing the iconic Great Dome and exploring the vibrant surrounding area added to the experience, leaving me inspired by the institution's rich history and its role in shaping the future.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is the highest ranked Research University. It is based in Cambridge,MA ,USA. Established originally at Back Bay area of Massachusetts in 1861, it is now spread over 166 acres along the Charles River(since 1916). Main Entrance and Students facilities are located on Massachusetts Street. QS World Universities ranked MIT as #1 University Overall and also in Engineering discipline in the world. It has 5 Schools: Science,Engineering,Architecture,Management and Humanities & Social Sciences. And a College. Current Regular Students Head Count is around 12,000 and faculty members over 1,000.Never awarded any Honorary Degree in its history. Admission Acceptance rate: 4%. Till 2021, exact 100 Nobel Prize Winners are MIT Alumni.
University has excellent academic,residential and sports facilities for students, including their reserved seat on Board of Trustees. MIT has its own Nuclear Reactor,Wind Tunnel,State of the Art Research Labs, olld Historic Dome, a number of beautiful modern Buildings on its Main Campus, including Green Building ( Tallest one),Main Library,unique Stadium, Killian Courts, Museum,Lincoln Lab,Cancer Research Centre,etc.Visitors Guided Tours' Centre is located near Kendall Square beside MBTA Station.Though free, the tours conducted by students are not so convincing.The cost of study/ stay at MIT ( without scholarship) is beyond reach of Average income earning family.Recommend MIT as a MUST VISIT, while at Cambridge or Boston ...

No doubt one of the best institute in the world. Great infrastructure for both students as well as for faculty and researchers. It’s a dream comes true if you get admission here . Platform are available for all new technologies.

The facilities are top-notch and the architecture is beautiful. The area surrounding the campus is bustling with energy and excitement.
The campus is easy to navigate and the staff is extremely helpful. I had the opportunity to visit several of the lecture halls and they were all modern and equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The library was a highlight of my visit - it is massive and full of resources.I was also impressed by the student life at MIT. The students are friendly and passionate about their studies. The campus is filled with opportunities for students to get involved in extracurricular activities and there is always something to do.

Overall, I highly recommend visiting MIT if you are in the area. Whether you are a student, faculty member, or just a curious visitor, you will be blown away by the energy and creativity that is palpable on campus.

I love thé atmosphère at MIT. Mit has many lectures that are open to the public. I enjoy the art museums. This is a place of young talented people who are interested in technology. It seems to be a great institution for learning and has a diverse student body. There seems to be less diversity among the faculty. I did not attend as a student but I go to many events and always love interacting with the staff, students and faculty. Many of the buildings are beautiful...

Amazingly beautiful campus for the most part! My friend went here so I wanted to explore it a bit and enjoyed the unique architecture here!

Very hard to find parking place. My suggestion is to take public transportation. Also the buildings around the dome are connected each other so it is hard for you to the court in front of the dome unless you have friends who can allow you to enter into the building. The best place to park your car is along the Charles river, not alone with the highway 2A.

While I never attended this institution, I've known and worked with several alumni and they were all great engineers and great people. Attending this place would be a great point of personal pride for any student who's serious about STEM. The campus was alright, but the location was top-notch with a great view of Boston and the Charles River.

One of the world renowned universities, MIT is a must visit place for visitors in Boston. It is just a bridge away from Boston Back Bay - Prudential Center area. Massachusetts Ave runs through the campus and divides into two areas. The stadium is on the west side with older buildings. On the other side is Information Center and newly constructed buildings, halls that host research labs, departments. MIT Museum, temporarily closed, is at Massachusetts Ave and Village St is also a must visit.

Beautiful campus, brilliant minds. Lots of restaurants on campus. The beautiful Charles river is next door and you can go sailing there! We did that too!

MIT... Name is enough...Fascinating Campus!

As a tourist, I found out MIT is a cooler place to visit than Harvard. I mean for the architecture, the stories, and the cool things going on in the school. The engineering building was the coolest to see.
You definitely need to plan ahead as they have limited space. The hour information session could have been condensed to 35 minutes, but otherwise was very helpful. The walking tour was more informative. The campus is beautiful with many unique buildings.
Stroll through Killian's Court and take a walk on the riverside to see the crew teams and sailing teams as they practice and race on the Charles River.

I took a long walk to get to MIT. At least one time in your life if you aren't a student here You get to see what such a famous university is looks like. This is university, not a tourist attraction for purpose. So Do not expecting anyone to greet you, LOL. Students are live their regular routines so if you walk in, of course, no one will talk to you. They might think you are some other parents or another master's degree student or a new professor!

World renowned academic institute. Nobel prize winners named, who are associated with this institute, nearly EVERY single year!!

Really loved walking the campus. Found a self guided tour online via Google search. Visited on a weekend. Imagine it being a different experience during the week I wish I could have went to such a school. Really nice.

6/29/22 in town for a doctors appointment tomorrow . My husband and I decide to walk a little and found MIT . I really love the green space in the middle and the art work . I am seating on a bench right in front of the Biology building (where I am sure one of my acquaintances spent a lot time to get his PHD) . Quite and pleasant . ❤
