Juniper at Vertex

Had dinner her with my wife and some business friends. Juniper moved to Vertex and the food and atmosphere is simply amazing! I had the steak and it was cooked to perfection. I've never had a fancy salad, and this one was perfect! Everything that came out was delicious and no one complained!

The drinks are good also but service was a little slow. It was fine with us as it gave us time to take show our out of town guests the views, etc. Overall we had a great experience and I was very impressed!

Price is on the higher side, but absolutely worth it! Will definitely be back!

Brought my daughter for Christmas dinner. We had a wonderful time and the food was amazing. I can’t recommend the Autumn salad and French onion soup highly enough. My daughter loved the salmon! Service was excellent, perfect pairing with the food and cocktails!

Juniper, We had an amazing 43rd birthday dinner. The Duck Breast was perfectly prepared and left nothing to be wanted. The halibut was amazing & i just wish the risotto had a bit more of a savory taste, maybe from some pecorino? (It would be okay with us if you broke the 'no cheese with fish' Italian rule in this instance) Dessert! Where. Do. I. Start? Well, we tried the try me option and didn't go wrong. And last but definitely not least, Amy was our server and knocked it out the park. She was very diligent with her checks on us to make sure we weren't ever in need of anything.

Our very favorite restaurant!! Best service, best atmosphere, kindest owners, and the very best filets we have ever had.

Every time we go to Juniper we absolutely adore the experience. We both had the featuted petite filet mignon and the octopus 🐙 and it was phenomenal. The service was excellent and the atmosphere is always so pleasant. The Christmas decorations made it even more intimate and special than it always is. A+++++++

Completely blown away! The food was amazing, the service was amazing! (His second day and you’d never know) The food was amazing every single bite from the bread to the dessert was mild blowing! I 100% recommend! 7 year anniversary and this was absolutely perfect! Even went for the 95$ bottle of wine and was yet again awed by the taste! If your looking for something quaint, unique and will blow your taste buds away this, this is the place!!!!

Amazing. I had the chicken and waffles at a friend's recommendation, don't regret it. The chicken was breaded perfectly, crispy but juicy - the waffles were cooked perfectly and had a spicy sauce with it (not maple syrup) Everything was amazing, will be back again!

I just finished a meal that was so good I felt like crying. The food here is like upscale home cooking. Their French onion soup reminded me of my mother's. Every single bite of food was truly excellent with wonderful service to match. The price is incredibly reasonable for the quality & portions. Highly, highly recommend.

Love it❤‍🔥 love it spread the word like wildfire.❤‍🔥 Reservations are a must, doesn't matter day or time. Cause this place is lit. It's small not like tiny, but not huge. The atmosphere is peaceful for an restaurant dining experience.The owners are wonderful everyone is pleasant. Oh yes the food, changes sometimes daily but mostly weekly. They have some standards. The mushroom Ragu is TO DIE FOR. Food for all different people vegan, vegetarian carnivores 😆 go as soon as you can. You don't have to dress super spectacular, jeans and a button up or nice shirt will do. Highly recommend their Iced -T & Charcuterie board.

We had the rack of lamb, absolutely 100% recommend you run don't walk to this restaurant , the lamb was amazing with the parsnip puree, mouthwatering deliciousness .
Absolutely will be back , the drink was I had was the badlands 105 was also very well made and delish.
French onion soup extremely well made but a little too sweet for me but still very yummy.
Husband loved his fresh ceaser salad .
Brought home dessert can't wait to eat it.

Probably the best and elevated food option in Rapid City, amazing food choices hand crafted daily by chef, homemade small batch ice cream from scratch made daily is a MUST!
Sometimes it takes a bit long to get your food, but the wait is absolutely worth it!

The absolute best place to eat in Rapid City. The flavors tickle your he taste buds. Attention to details with great service. My salad was light and refreshing with layered flavors. The Caprese chicken was moist and and flavorful.
It is hard to find but worth the effort. In the same building as Dunn Brother coffee. This is the best food in town!!!

Freshest food we’ve ever had. Didn’t see that coming in South Dakota. Must go place if you are in the area. The servers are really nice. Food is amazing. Everything is local. The menu changes every week or so. There are limited options but do you really want more options or best food in your life? I would recommend the Autumn Apple salad any day anytime. We had the Orange chicken which was on the menu for the day we had food here. Delicious and completely different tasting profile than any orange chicken I’ve ever had. Thanks!

Blown away by this place and our amazing, elevated meal. The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful. Not your average mashed potatoes - way better. Honey scallops - yum. The staff was attentive to my gluten free dietary restrictions and confirmed with the kitchen staff before taking our order.

We had dinner on the opening night at the Vertex, what an outstanding dinner! We've had plenty of good steaks before, but we both agreed the Petite Filet may have been the best we have ever had. Other parts of the meal were also fantastic. Great staff service. Highly recommend going here for a superior dining experience in Rapid City!

Cute little restaurant with high quality food and great service. They have a rotating menu so it’s always fun, and delicious, to try out something new.

My wife and I had a fantastic meal at Juniper! One of the best we've had around Rapid City. The pork chop was delicious with a cream sauce to die for. The vegetables were crisp and perfect.

Everything we had was amazing. Came for our Anniversary. The bread service was incredible. The beet Salad was so refreshing. The Petite Fillet was the best steak you will have and the dessert were perfect.

Had a great meal with my wife for our 7th anniversary. Good service, lots of attention and table touches. Owner had baby at work, loved that, he is beautiful, good to see dedication and love in a restaurant. Avery Duffy did an amazing job. The chicken was very good, and being a ranch kid from South Dakota, I rarely say that about yard bird. But it was cooked to perfection and sauce was excellent, could have used more heat, but, I like things hot and I think it is well balanced for the majority of people. Thank you guys very much for the excellent work.

A rare gem in the heart of southwest South Dakota.

A last minute Google search led us here and we couldn’t have been more pleased. The proprietor was accommodating despite us having no reservations and the wine list was top-notch.

The caliber of food was matched by the top chefs of the southeast (where I hail from). French Onion Soup. Ahi Tuna. Ragu. Every single dish I would have again.

Small venue. Plenty of parking. Semi-fast service (party of 2 was in and out in 90 minutes). Would visit again!

My mom and I found this place luckily during a cross country trip and can't believe how lucky we were to find it! My mom said, "I can't imagine a better piece of salmon even in our final destination of San Francisco!" All 3 courses were perfection and the owner made the experience really joyful. He was so genuine and friendly that we wish we could stay. The restaurant itself is small and comfortable and not one person was on there phone as everyone was so enjoying their experience. If I can ever make it back to Rapid City, Juniper will be a must stop!!! I couldn't recommend this place more.
