Alex (@lxcosmetx) is the most talented Permanent Makeup Artist I have ever seen. She is so detail oriented and you can tell she is passionate about what she does. I am so happy that I was able to get services with her & couldn't recommend her enough.

I got nano combo brows, a lashline enhancement, and lip blushing all done at Black Hills Brows with Alex. All three are PERFECTION! Exactly what I was looking for and no one can tell that I had anything "done." Doing my makeup in the morning now only takes a few minutes and even when I don't wear makeup I still look presentable and put together which is so amazing!!

Alex does an exceptional job at giving natural looking results and enhancing natural beauty. My only regret is not doing it sooner! 10/10 recommend permanent makeup @ Black Hills Brows!

Can't rave enough about this place! I have been getting my lashes done by Destiny for years and she always does an amazing job and is super welcoming and kind! I also have brow lamination, waxing and tinting done by Alex and am always amazed by how perfect my brows look afterwards. Ammy did a fantastic job threading my face as well, I have sensitive skin and was desperate to find a threader in Rapid City and loved my results with her!

Destiny did my lashes for the first time and she was incredible. She is so nice and didn’t make things awkward at all, things can get weird when you’re lying there for 3 hours. I felt so comfortable the whole time and she did my lashes exactly how I wanted them!

Juli is amazing! Her attention to detail is out of this world. She is so kind and makes you feel so comfortable. Did nano brows due to lack of brow hair from plucking as a teen… whopps
I love the hair strokes and I am so happy with the whole experience. If you are on the fence about getting permanent eyebrows done. DON’T BE. You will not regret it!!

Juli is the sweetest person! She did my permanent freckles and was so knowledgeable and fast and they turned out the best! They look so bomb to this day. 100% recommend going to see her!!

Julie is the absolute best!!!! My first appointment with her was for permanent freckles. She was able to enhance the ones I already had, and they look so natural and pretty! After being impressed with what a great job she did on my frecks, I booked with her to tattoo my brows. I had previously gotten nano brows years ago while living in Florida and I hadn't loved the results. I originally asked her to redo my nano brows. After they healed, I was a little dissapointed in how natural they looked. After realizing I prefer more of a makeup look, I asked if we could add shading in the tails so that the brows were bolder. She was more than happy to accommodate me. She also did a second round of permanent freckles to blend in the faded brow tails from the PMU I had gotten done in Florida. Julie has been great throughout the whole process. I now feel confident going out and getting ready takes a quarter of the time it used to!

Juli is very attentive and kind. She made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. She has done both my brows and freckles and it’s the best decision I have made! Very easy to get ahold of and get booked in a timely matter!

Julie did an amazing job. She was correcting a previous microblade that I was never really happy with. The color that she matched was amazing. I live 5 hrs away and she was so easy to work with setting my appt. She was a blessing.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my brows! Alex did such an amazing job on my brows! I wasn't sure if I wanted microblading or combo brows so she suggested microblading which was perfect for my face since I don't wear a lot of make up. She's takes her time for perfection and informs you on exactly what to expect during the whole process from start to finish (healing). I've gotten so many compliments and even have friends and family that want to fly out here to SD from other states to book with Alex! 10/10 would highly recommend BlackHillsBrows!

I decided to go to Alex to help spice up my old microbladding (done by a different artist). And she did a phenomenal job! She color corrected them from a cool dark brown to a warm red to match my natural hair! I thought it was going to be impossible to color correct due to having such a prior dark color, but she literally worked magic. Alex was so patient with hearing my needs and wants, she listened carefully and it was extremely easy to communicate with her. She was super precise, diligant, took her time, and kept me updated throughout the process.
she looked over my eyebrows multiple times to make sure she measured them correctly and to make sure she wasn't missing any spots, and this is exactly what I wanted from my artist. I'm very impressed by Alex and would highly recommend her! She will be my forever go to person for my eyebrows!

I discovered Alex from a colleague that had her eyebrows microbladed by her. I was so impressed by how flawless her eyebrows were and the thought of waking up and the morning and having one less step to do! Alex’s communication was excellent, her website has all the needed information on before and after care so you feel confident going in that you have all the needed information. The process was painless and for me and a mom of two young kids it was actually really relaxing! It’s been 2 months now and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you Alex (Black Hills Brows).

Alex is AHHH-MAZING!!! I love waking up everyday to the perfect eyebrow not to mention the time it saves me in the morning. She is super sweet, talented and overall a great technician. She can turn the most horrible of brows into the perfect arch. Recommend her 10/10.
