Kilwin's Black Mountain -Chocolates, Fudge and Ice Cream

Kilwin's at Black Mountain was my first and only introduction to the company. There is so much available here, and it is all ridiculously delicious. Even now in winter, there are plenty of kids running around with a few scoops of ice cream. The fudge is great, and it is made on site! There's a lot to love about Kilwin's. If you're in Black Mountain, you have to make a stop, it's the rules.

Loved the waffle cone and lemon sherbet ice cream! So many delicious looking chocolates, ice creams, and fudges.

This location is in a cute little mountain town and definitely worth a visit in. I got the caramel pecan apple and oh my word it was some of the best caramel I’ve had. I did get ice cream later in the day at a different location that was delicious as well!!

We have visited twice this week while on vacation. The staff is nice and there is a large selection of ice cream and fudge flavors. I recommend the sea salt fudge, cappuccino chip and blueberry ice creams. Yummy!

Sweet little ice cream/chocolate shop in this small touristy town. They offer a great variety of ice cream, artisan chocolates and they make their own waffle cones on premise.

Best ice cream for a cheat day! The toasted coconut is like bounty (almond joy in the US:), love the cappuccino and blueberry choc. Cones are fresh and crisped to perfection. Plus a delightful fudge selection....

Love the variety of flavors of ice cream offered. Staff is friendly. Can also ask for their empty plastic ice cream containers. Many uses for them at home.

I got the marshmallow icecream with flakes of chocolate fudge in them. When I saw the price I thought it was overpriced, but they definitely give you a lot if icecrem for one scoop. Definitely recommending to anyone looking for ice cream in the greater asheville area.

Abby lead her co-workers to go above and beyond for us tourist last night. We had arrived just as they were locking the door for cleaning, but they made our day by letting us in to order. Thank you ladies for stellar customer service!

I’ve been to many of this chain but Black Mountain locals staff make this more like a mom&pop experience! If you get Vinny you’ll be absolutely delighted and they will be able to get you a single scoop with two flavors and make the ounce mark! The chocolate selection is also scrumptious. Get some Black Mountain Mud ice cream and thank me later.

My goodness. Of course the wares look delicious and the waffle cone baking aroma was mouthwatering. But most delightful of all was talking with the owner about the subtleties and science of his craft. Cherry cordials are the best I've ever had ( I've had many, including homemade). Raspberry Cream smooth and perfectly "melt away". Also recommend Bavarian Creme, Truffle assortment, and... oh my... the caramel assortment salted with salt from different countries.

Excellent ice cream! I love the unusual flavors they have here. The toasted coconut is my favorite.
