Food Lion

I love shopping at this grocery store. I do wish they sold more vegan and organic product's. They used to have a nice selection. Sadly, this store has recently cut down a lot on the various verity for vegan food's. I take into consideration that the area is not exactly for these kind's of product's. There are still people around that prefer organic and vegan food's. other then that I love the fact that it is simple you always know where the product's you are looking for will be they don't change every two month's. They have better price's most of the time an not as crowded!

It's not as big as the other chain stores, but still have a great selection and is very clean. Very good bargains if you use your food lion card and actually much cheaper than some other places

There's a nice handful of items I routinely get here at good prices, they will always be a part of my grocery shopping routine

These friendly people tolerate the Little Caesars bunch that go in the store to use the bathroom.
There's usually a crowd of about 30-40 people sitting in the parking lot eating pizza and we'll go to Food Lion to use the restroom.
Usually I will buy something in the store after I use the bathroom. And other people will buy drinks cigarettes etc after going into the store.
People will go on Friday and Saturday nights to Little Caesars buy pizza and go across the street to Food Lion park their vehicles and have pizza.
And it's different people, there's not one set group who do it.
Every single time I have been in the place I have been met with very friendly people, the store very well organized very clean etc etc etc I will usually buy something when I go in food Lion.
It is one of the best Food Lion stores in North Carolina.
For whatever reason when Marion has its Bigfoot festival Food Lion gets crowded. I highly recommend going there when the Bigfoot festival is happening.

I usually encounter friendly customer service, reasonable prices, clean store

Food Lion in Marion, NC impressed me as soon as I walked through the door. It seemed to have had a major upgrade and appeared to be better organized with the choices in their aisles. It was very easy to find all of my items in a pretty fast pace because it was late on a Sunday night and I was pleased to find out they was still open at 10pm. Their closing time was at 11pm, so I had an hour to do my shopping. The staff was very friendly and the store was super clean, stocked with everything I was looking for, and some! I will definitely be going back to Food Lion for my next trip to the grocery store! Keep up the good work Food Lion! Very impressed!

The most reasonable choice for the better quality foods at less than "organic market" prices
There are 3 supermarkets in this entire county (major chain) and compared to the other two... When doing a monthly grocery order for "pickup " you get to basically get a t text on any product that needed substituting or has no logical substitute 🥰Love this as I'm disabled and the thoughtful texts for each item I had purchased online ($600 order btw) the personal shopper helped me get "something appropriate" vs being out of things necessary for me to feed and care for my family

Very clean store. And the cashier was polite.. and the prices are good value.. I will shop there again when I come back to Marion N.C to visit..

Great place, they closed all ours up and made them Winn dixies

The updating is finished and it's nice. Up front, checkouts are better accessible making the front area function much better. Kinda feel like the produce area is tight, very busy. But, I do love their produce my favorite in Marion. Their Meat Dept has always been top touch. If the dept is staffed you could get fresh cut meat sliced to your own preference.

This is an update on my first review.
Last week I was at the store shopping, picking up a few groceries for the week. When I checked out, my cost for my purchases seemed quite high. I questioned the cashier/ checkout person about the bill they tried their best to satisfy myself. Even another cashier came over and tried to help. Seeing things were busy and having groceries that needed to be home and put away I went on home. Later I was able to take time to look at each item cost and try to figure out what went wrong. I thought I'd figured out things, so I called the store and spoke with a manager. I explained everything and told the manager that I'd return to the store with my receipt, so that they might be able to see what went wrong. I dropped the receipt off with a manager and a few days later went back to the store. Everything worked out 100%.
I'm totally grateful that this happened. That might not make sense, but I already had giving them a 5 star review. But nothing had ever went wrong before. Now I know that even when something goes wrong their there to work through problems. Thanks Food Lion (local employees) for keeping this customer a happy and proud shopper of my local store.

This store is always a pleasure to shop in. Love the remodel. The staff is always very friendly. The food in the deli and bakery is enjoyable.

I went to go get Green Machine Smoothie but unfortunately their green/fresh selections were a but small so I opted for something else but it was still a very pleasant visit, staff was incredibly kind and friendly to my uncle. Watching the staff make my uncle laugh and smile made my day.

There assistant manager that helps run DELI is very pretty and has a very great attitude

Even though the store is going thru renovations and partially a mess, I still have nothing bad to say about this store. Good prices. Great customer service.

Update August 2022: Renovations look great. Still nothing bad to say about store. This is the only place in Marion I can get Immune Propel 12 pack. Still 5 stars.

The staff is always friendly and helpful and we are so grateful for their organic line, *natures promise*! We enjoy being able to shop and eat clean, while supporting a business in our neighborhood! My only complaint is some of the organic products we love, aren't consistently carried/kept in stock. I also understand they have to adapt to the shopping patterns of the majority. Overall happy with this store!

Great place great people working here. They always have good deals. UPDATE THEY RENOVATION to the store looks amazing. Well laid out and faster to get in and out. Always nice people and go out of their way to help if anything is asked of them. Online orders are so easy and they help out so well doing those too. All in all shop here alot more now. Update This place is still the best in town. Will go out of the way to help you.
