Switzerland Inn

The place was closed for the season, it reopens in April 2024. I was not able to see or experience the rooms or amenities. It is a very nice place from the outside. They have cute little shops, restaurant and bar. Outside pool and outside fire pit with beautiful Mountain View’s. There are small towns around the surrounding area. Many places to go hiking or just to go for a scenic drive.

We have been staying at the Switzerland Inn for years. We keep coming back because it not only has a great view and great food, the staff works very hard to make sure your stay is pleasurable in every way. There is a wonderful family atmosphere that makes you feel at home in a vacation setting. Can't go wrong with staying at the Switzerland Inn, you will not be disappointed.

The Switzerland Inn is a hidden treasure. Set off the Blue Ridge Parkway in Little Switzerland, a very comfortable lodge with great food and drink. The staff is very professional and it's just a great place to spend a few days in the NC mountains. This was our second visit, and it's becoming an annual destination.

Beautiful view. Hard to walk around with little children. But loved the scenery, didn't get to eat at any of the places there. And didn't stay the night but I'm sure it's fantastic 👌

I didn’t know what to expect when I first booked. Obviously, I knew the views were going to be great. However, I was pleasantly surprised by my extremely high quality stay. The room was clean and comfortable, the restaurant Chalet’s food and cocktails were delicious, and the staff was very friendly. Albeit the king bed I slept on was a bit firm, but that wouldn’t deter me from rebooking someday soon.

If you are on the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina and have the opportunity. You would do well to stop here if only to get ice cream (it is the best I have had in 50 years). Nonetheless, the room are spectacular. Service is second to none. The Tavern serves large portions and everything is good. The wife and I loved it.

My "sophisticated hoodlum" motorcycle buddies and I have been coming here for years. Amazing value proposition right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Beautiful well maintained property above the clouds a hop skip and a jump from Mt. Mitchell. Breathtaking views and a fantastic restaurant and bar with great people and service all on site. Every year we talk about going someplace else and wind up coming back here because it's special and unique and perfect.

This review is for the restaurant and Pub. Haven't stayed in a room, but from the attention to detail and service, I'd expect they're top notch.

The restaurant is a go-to for me and in a regular rotation. Dining on the patio or in Fowler's Pub are my favorites. The dining room is very nice, but the real show is the patio dining.

Service is always spectacular. The food is consistent, and very, very good. Living in Spruce Pine nearby, this is the only place within a 30 min drive to get a true upscale menu. Love seeing the same employees year after year. Richard, Stephanie, and Sierra are all the best! Stop in and say hi, and soak in the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Little Switzerland.

Words don't express the beauty of this place. Most relaxed we have been for a long time. Once you arrive you dont need to leave. Beautiful views, chairs all over property to take in the wonderful mountain air, great food for all meals, pool, large fire pit for chilling after dinner....and most important....clean, well maintained and most accommodating and friendly staff we have ever experienced in all our travels. The Inn is a special place.

Awesome view. Old world charm. Friendly. Several shops on site including ice cream til 8pm, sometimes 9pm, depending on traffic. Pickle ball courts, table tennis, corn hole, pool. Restaurant indoor and outdoor seating, and separate pub.

Very nice resort and customer service was amazing. Staff is very friendly , professional, and always willing to help with anything. Dog friendly place, and great location to go for a hike or a light walk in the morning. They treated my dog like she was the only dog there. Even the cook knew about my pup! We felt very welcomed!

We live close by and eat often at their outside, grand views restaurant.
Their food is the best, we've had about everything on the menu and have never had a bad meal. The service is phenomenal. Very accommodating.
Family recently stayed at the Inn again very accommodating, with wonderful views, nice firepit area.

Put this destination on your vacation list if you are in western North Carolina. Beautiful views, excellent chef prepared foods d great hospitality.

Awesome place to stay and get away from everything and relax. Some of the best views of the mountains around. Two on site restaurants and several shops. Staff was great and very friendly.

My husband and I have been staying at the Switzerland Inn for 30 years, and my daughter has joined us for the past 23. We try to go at least once a year but sometimes we manage to go twice. In all of that time, we have never had poor service. From the front desk to the restaurant staff, everyone is friendly and accommodating. The rooms are great, the buildings are continually being updated, and the location is absolutely perfect. You have amazing views and the location right off the Parkway cannot be beat. We have tried to stay in cabins in the area, and every time we wish we had stayed at the Switzerland Inn.

My husband and I absolutely love going to the Switzerland Inn. It’s close enough to home that we enjoy going to dinner often during their season. Whether eating on the patio, dining room or the pub the food is always delicious and service quick and friendly. We love the treat of staying there occasionally as well. We have always found to rooms clean and very comfortable. The staff is friendly and always eager to help with any needs we may have. It remains our favorite date spot. I am always recommending it to people! I feel confident that they will have a great experience when they go, we always do.

We love visiting this hotel! They offer amazing food and it’s perfect for families. They have a pool, ping pong tables, and plenty of games for the kids. It’s also very pet friendly. We love hitting the Fowl Play bar after dinner too.

Switzerland Inn is an amazing place that you will never forget! The views are spectacular, the food is fantastic, the staff was so friendly when we stayed and our room was so cute as they’ve done lots of continuous updates. I’m a very picky person and I absolutely loved it here! There are shops and walking trails and waterfalls to enjoy Mother Nature. We will definitely be back as our friends loved it here as well and we all want to bring more friends and family to enjoy this amazing place!

Having a wonderful Memorial Day weekend at one of my absolute favorite places to be, Switzerland Inn! Always lots of friendly smiling faces to greet us when we check in, making sure everything is just right!
It may be raining and a little cool tonight, but we're all warm and cozy, in our big comfortable room, after an awesome dinner at The Chalet restaurant. The wait staff, as always, was very kind and attentive. The manager even stopped by our table just to say hello...such nice folks!
Hoping the rain will move on so we can enjoy some time outside tomorrow, if not, there's always the next visit...just love spending time here!

This place is great. Our waitress was incredible and the food was awesome! I really want to come back and relax at the fire pit with another delicious rum cocktail. What a view out there!!!
