Decent bank, but not sure why the staff is so cold. I deal with many banks in the area, and this branch just seems to have the least friendly staff of them all. Possibly trickles down from management? Not sure what it is— Just awful customer service and never a smile.

Not a bad bank. Staff is not very personable and their app seems to go down a lot. But other than that ok.

They must put “must be completely incompetent” on their job ads. My gf has been a customer for 10 years. No exaggeration, her card is locked more often than it works. The fraud protection is terrible and overly sensitive. The most random and unpredictable things will set it off and once her card is down, she’s unable to help contribute for bills which puts us both behind. The Customer service is non existent and is open during the work day and closes promptly at 5, allowing no time for anyone who works for a living to call. Sure there’s supposedly an after hours line but there might as well not be since they never answer. This bank is terrible, take my warning and stay away. She will be leaving this week for a bank that isn’t complete trash

This morning I went to the drive-thru of the Dover, New Hampshire branch. I am not a customer, but I stopped to cash a check that a friend of mine gave to me who is a customer. I gave the check and my enhanced New Hampshire driver's license to the teller at the window. The teller asked me if I had a second ID, preferably a credit or debit card. I questioned her and told her that I would rather not send any card with my debit card number or credit card number on it, especially because they have the expiration date and security code right on the card. I gave her a government issued VA benefit card with a photo on it. She told me that would not be sufficient. After further questioning, she went to see the branch manager. After about 10 minutes, with other cars waiting behind me, the branch manager came over and told me that she was going to make an exception, do me a favor, and cash the check. She also told me that she called the account holder, who of course was at work, and confused her as to why she was being called in the middle of the day. The amount of the check that I was cashing was a whopping $30.00. Needless to say, if I ever have the need for a local bank account it certainly would not be at this bank, and I have sympathy for anyone who is a customer of theirs. FYI- any enhanced driver's license is sufficient identification to obtain a US passport and/or to travel internationally with. If it's security that they are concerned with, they should get a grip.

Posting this on behalf of my grandfather, who happens to be the owner of a small veterinary clinic with a herbal medicinal focus, he has banked with First Seacoast Bank since before I was born and for reference I am 20. Up until 5 years ago banking was up to standard, however following that year when my grandfather went to fund the families annual day trip to Sunday river on Christmas Day he was stunned to find fees in odd amounts being imposed on him, when calling the bank to try to resolve the matter, the bank was very unhelpful in trying to resolve this, what’s more is he was littered with more fees and in greater amounts after confronting them, very disappointed, honestly after this my grandfather went with Bank Of America and it’s truly shocking how online banking with an A.I seems to be more helpful than an entire bank.

Banked with FSB for almost a decade, they consistently have downed atms, the employee's at the two locations I went to are concerning to be around to say the least towards the end of banking with this bank. I wouldn't recommend this bank.
