We saw this diner on Phantom Gourmet and decided to try it out. From the time you enter your thrown back to earlier days when diners were the rage (extremely happy they're coming back strong). Phantom gave them the plug for their incredibly delicious hash and cinnamon french toast. They also got huge scores for their desserts especially pies. Yes, I did it, banana cream pie for dessert, immediately followed my fantastic breakfast. The food was absolutely amazing and if you're lucky enough to get Lilly as your server, you hit the lottery. Please see the picture below and that maple sausage you see was the best I've had in years.

Authentic American diner in Portsmouth. We unfortunately only went there once on our return trip to Boston.
The food was fantastic. The service very accommodating and friendly.
In the end, you could only roll me out of the diner 😂. I had eaten enough in any case.
If we are in the area again, we will definitely come back here.

Amazing meal, so many to pick from. Roberta our server suggested homemade Turkey meatloaf, that hit the spot. My coworker had chicken pot pie and he enjoyed it as well.
Portions are good and could have leftovers for next day :)

Wow. If you are ever near Portsmouth NH, this should be your first stop. My family has made this a must do anytime we are near. Everything we have ever ordered is always top notch. The breakfasts are unbeatable- pancakes, French toast, eggs, toast, bacon- you can’t go wrong with any of it. The atmosphere is fantastic, it’s like going back in time to a time when people took pride in everything that they serve. The 50’s vibe is present but not overwhelming, it makes you feel good and happy. If you are ever near the Roundabout Diner, you better stop, you won’t regret it!!!

Love this place! Always a highlight of our trip north! The breakfasts are wonderful as well as the lunches. Can't lose if you stop here to eat! My husband and I share the breakfast burrito and it is wonderful. Fresh squeezed orange juice is delicious also.

Fantastic staff that can't do enough to make sure your experience is the beat it can be. These folks created a Lobster Benedict for me, when there was none on the menu. Great food! Great experience! Will certainly return!

Our go to breakfast and brunch spot. I could write about every single thing on the menu because there isn't a bad thing I've had here. They also have very big affordable kids meals! The staff are amazing and so are the bloody marys. We absolutely love this place!

Out of this world! AMAZING!!!!!!!! The turkey dinner was hands down the best I've ever had! The gravy and stuffing was so good it should be sin! But that amazing strawberry 🍓 cream cake! Omg 😱 Super fresh strawberries throughout with real cream not that fake stuff! It was delicately & perfectly sweet! Please never change a thing! Restaurants like this are a dying thing nowadays and I hope you guys stay forever!

We loved this restaurant and bar so much that we went there 3 times during our stay in Portsmouth.

Everything we ordered was great. The staff is so kind and helpful, and we met some locals who were super friendly and gave us some great attractions to visit while we were in town.

100 percent recommend. Can't wait to go back when we are in town again.

What a wonderful little diner!

If you're in the area and looking for some good old fashioned American eats, stop on in!

We went during a bit of slow-hours, probably around 3pm. As such we were seated immediately. I went with my wife, but I'll offer only my opinion here.
I ordered a vanilla coke and got it quickly. Then put in for an appetizer of onion rings and a special for the day.

The onion rings are great. Very crispy with flavorful batter, not over battered. They also came in with a dill horseradish dip which was phenomenal.

My entree was a BBQ meatloaf sandwich, served with fries. The sandwich was wonderful, and I really appreciated the pickled onions. But the meatloaf felt a bit like it skimped on the meat and leaned into the loaf.

Finally we finished it off with a world-class banana split. Now I'll start with my gripe: it can hardly be a banana split if the banana is itself not split. But I digress. The toppings featured generous chunks of real fruit which was refreshing, and the ice cream was incredibly rich and flavorful.

P.S. the silverware is somewhat magnetic

Delicious food . Best buffalo chicken sandwich . My 5 year old loved his chocolate chip pancake and husband ordered veggie omelette with sourdough toast . Will definitely come back here again . Very friendly staff
