Portsmouth Hospital

I am a nurse and I had a great visit to the emergency department recently for a minor issue. I was on a bed in the hallway but my issue was mild and they really took great care of me. They could watch me easily and get the diagnostics done easily. The staff were very considerate and competent. I was there only a few hours and had a good experience there!

I had a pleasant experience when I went to the Portsmouth Urgent Care. I was attended to immediately and the facilities were very clean. I do think though that their e-checkin in via their tablet has room for improvement. It took me longer to check in with the numerous questions than for my treatment.

What started as a normal doctors appointment turned into a trip to the ER. When I first arrived I was greeted by a gentleman named Patrick sitting at the front desk. Patrick was caring, attentive and funny! He got me registered, completed my vitals and within 5 minutes i was brought back. I was then seen by a gentleman named Adam. From the moment I got there it felt like I was in a 5 star hotel. He kept making sure I was comfortable. Brought me water and a warm blanket. Without even asking. I was in my work uniform and they even gave me comfy pants to wear for my ER visit! The hospitality and professionalism that Adam showed was just the cherry on top! He made me feel like my pain I was having was relatable by sharing the experiences he has had and even showed me ways that has helped him relieve his pain.

Thank you Adam Mills and the rest of the ER team for making my ER experience effortless and stress free! The care I received and the kindness of the staff made my er visit even better. You guys were awesome! Highly recommend the Portsmouth Regional hospital ER

Outstanding hospital with an awesome staff. Hallie who checked me in was lovely. Fiona in registration was kind. Tristan was the best ER. He was friendly, funny and a great nurse. Loved Dr. Eide who not only quickly diagnosed me and so repeatedly asked “is there anything else we can do to make you more comfortable?” The extra ask means so much. Brenden, the CT was also quite personable and friendly. There was zero wait time and the care with thorough and efficient.
The hospital was very clean and well maintained.
I am an HCA loyalist and we drove an hour to ensure I made it to an HCA. I’m very pleased to see that this team met the standards that I’ve come to expect from HCA Healthcare.

Had appendicitis best hospital I’ve ever been to knows what they’re doing. Saved many people including myself. Great trauma hospital. Staff is great and friendly and professional

I can't say enough good things about Portsmouth Regional Hospital! Not only did they save my life and are the best at what they do, but are the most incredible people that genuinely care about what they do and their patients! The nurses, doctors, ICU team and the ECMO team are absolutely incredible! My family thanks you from the bottom of our hearts! ❤

I just had the most amazing experience going in to the ER tonight. Ceecee was simply wonderful, kind and positive and the young blonde (who went to college in upstate NY and did my ultrasound, sorry forget your name) was so sweet and happy. I was immediately seen and treated and everyone’s attitude tonight was so happy and uplifting. The best experience I have had in an ER in my entire life. Thank you!!

Arrived at 6am with heart issue had a pace maker put in by 11:30 everyone so nice and attentive could not have had a better experience only complaint is like most hospitals they need to speed up the discharge process

My experience at Portsmouth Hospital was excellent even under the circumstances of my being there. I need to give 6 people my deepest gratitude for their compassionate service,
On the IVCU unit, nurses Nicole, Shannon and Vicki. The food service worker Kathy and of course Dr. Kim and Dr. Erin So- Pihie(apologize for the spelling).

Quick triage and then taken to a treatment room. Saw doctor within minutes, prompt care and treatment, should've come here 1st instead of an urgent care facility.

My time at Portsmouth Hospital was spent in the Behavioral Health Unit. The environment at the BHU was very welcoming, both staff and other patients. Each morning patients meet with a team of psychiatrists. I must add that the most important thing is to advocate for yourself and get a second opinion. They also offer weighted workouts twice a week and meditation exercises. Thank you to the nurses and other staff who provided support in my time of need.

My stay at Portsmouth Regional Hospital was excellent. The nursing staff, the LNA’s and the doctors were efficient, compassionate and knowledgeable of what was going on with my care. I was kept informed of everything that was happening to me. I was made comfortable and felt confident that I was being taken about in a scary scenario. Also, the food was nutritional fresh and satisfying. I would recommend Portsmouth Hospital to any of my friends and family. Thank you for taking care of me Johanna Cassidy.

Went in for an MRI and the staff was wonderful. The technicians were caring, polite and explained everything before we began. The girls even asked if I needed to cough or stop for a bit. I was very comfortable and appreciative of their care.

I have had two procedures preformed at Portsmouth Hospital recently. I was very well cared for and informed the whole time I was there. From check in to check out, the total staff was just wonderful. Even after I was home the follow up care was very much appreciated. Thank you very much for the constant reassurance and compassion. I wouldn't hesitate to go to Portsmouth Hospital any time that it is necessary.

Jess, the ultrasound tech that took care of me while I was at the hospital was terrific. Great attitude, efficient, and generally made the whole experience pleasant. Check in was painless as well, and I'm generally appreciative that the staff was able to get me in last-minute at the end of the day on a Friday.

I felt very well taken care of while at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. Great nurses and LNAs, my surgeon was great as well! Second time having an emergency medical condition and again pleased with how smoothly everything went. Thank you!

I have nothing but positive to say about Portsmouth Hospital ICU and Trauma departmants. The entire staff were so kind, caring and thoughtful to my husband and our entire family. We are so grateful for the care that my husband received for the 30 + days he was there.

From the moment we walked in until we left we were treated wonderfully! Our nurses for labor and delivery Torrey, Kelli and Jackie were the best we could have ever asked for! I will always remember Torrey, I will tell our new born baby Dean about her! She was kind, patient, she laughed at my silly jokes and made me feel safe and that I was in the right hands. The staff is lovely. I came in on recommendation from Convenient MD. It ended up being a minor issue but I do not do well in medical environments. The staff was beyond helpful and kind. They talked me through everything that happened. I got my first CT scan and was incredibly nervous but the nurses and doctors were there the whole time, easing my worries. I would absolutely return for any other issues that may arise.

Could not have been more satisfied. Technician explained the test and couldn’t have been nicer Everyone and everything went smoothly. Greeted on the way in and as I was leaving the workers all wished a good day. Highly recommended Portsmouth Hospital.
