Janetos Superette

They're a small independent grocery store so obviously they don't have the buying power of your bigger box stores and as a result things are going to cost a little more. However, their meat is excellent with my favorites being some of their marinated cuts.

Great old school deli, great selection of meats at a good price. Nice to see a old time market is still around and competitive

Great local market with tons of brands and food that we love. A solid place to visit when you want to walk to grab some small groceries. If you drive, there is always tons of free parking.

Love this little store. Everything is great from the subs they make to the meat selection in their butcher section. They also have a good selection of other items as well. Great place to stop and pick up those few items you need.

Great family place. Excellent sandwiches. A good small shop we can walk to from apartment. In comparison to some of the stores in the area the meats are decently priced.. Some items are higher but your going to the store primarily because of the meat market and convenience. Not a bad little place.

Without a doubt, the best place to get meat in town! Try the marinated steak tips. I've never had more tender meat. Absolutely worth your time. It's a quaint place, and radiates charm. Friendliest employees, too!

Yes it is cramped, yes it is crummy looking, yes it is not a superstore, but meat is excellent. And to be locally owned. That’s a blessing. Visiting from a southern state. All those who crave local, sometimes we have to ignore one bad experience otherwise we will never have any locally owned places left.
My experience was great. Going there again today. I am amazed how with one bad experience, people forget the larger picture of what is important

My go to store for all meats, poultry, subs, sides and so many other great items! Always fresh and well priced! BBQ season here I come Janetos! Plus I prefer to support my local town business over Chains!

Nice discovery for us-- Janeto's has been there in Dover 95 years!! Fabulous meat and deli counter, homemade cookies and pastries-- even Ginger Beer! Helpful, attentive staff. What a great place.

Can't go wrong here. WAY better then either of the Dover Hannafords! Clearly I don't do my full grocery shopping here but when I just need a few things mid week this is the spot. Selection is actually great and the deli salads are WAY better then other grocery stores.

Great little neighborhood grocery store, stocked with a good selection of produce, dairy, canned, prepared and frozen foods. But I mostly shop the meat counter - best butcher shop in Dover, IMHO. Support your local businesses!

Janeto's is a clean, reasonably priced, local grocery store with friendly service and quality products. I go to this small business as an alternative to supermarkets when my anxiety is acting up and I can't handle large crowds. The aisles are spacious and the customers generally friendly and respectful. No one's going to hit you with their cart in line here.
