Rent-A-Wreck

I dont know why so many of them whine about Rent-A-Wreck. I am genuinely surprised to see so many bad reviews. Especially reviews about front desk folks. They were really nice, smiling and super helpful. I havent faced one issue anybody spoke about. They havent charged me a single penny extra over the booked price. The front desk person even dropped a physically challenged person at airport closing the store. I am truly impressed with Rent-A-Truck. Even after I returned the car in original condition, the front desk checked thoroughly and cleared me. Took less than 5 mins to return. I will only book here goibg forward whenever I visit Seattle.

Facts: this company is not for the fussy ,primpy, complaining type of person.
But if you wanna save money , rent a way!
The car we got was perfect clean and basically new.

Pro tips:
*Call the place from the airport and they’ll have someone pick you up from the main car rental at SeaTac and drive you to their store. ( their store looks bad, get over it sally)
*have a copy of your insurance printed.
*If you want to add an extra driver other than you it’s $100.
*If you’re going to go through tolls , pre pay.
*Take hardcore video of the car before you take it just in case.
*don’t pre pay gas unless you’re lazy
*$200 deposit was returned 2 days after car returned no probs.
*don’t return the car before/after hours.

After that, which was all stuff I thought reasonable and easy to manage, it was way cheaper than everyone, customer service was friendly and the car was perfect. GO RENT A WRECK!!!!

Jimmy from customer office was very helpful. He extended our rental days with the same price we booked on Priceline.

The shuttle pick up was running a little little late however they went above and beyond, making sure that we were taking care of. Vidoc gave us excellent customer service!!!!

Alex and Lilly were lovely and so helpful. Happy with the car and the service. The little walk was nothing, no big deal. I'll be back.

Staff were friendly and straightforward about charges.
Try to pick up and drop off your car within their business hours. There’s a fee if you drop off your car when they are closed (I believe it’s $45).
If you plan to go through tolls (in or around the city), it’s worth it to pay the one-time $30 fee. You still have to pay for the tolls, but they said they will send it to me later.
If you don’t purchase the add-on for tolls, they will charge you $50 per toll that you drive through.
So pay the extra $30 just in case to be safe!!
When dropping off the vehicle, they said it looked good! Just make sure to do your due diligence and take photos of the car prior to signing the papers.
I’ll update my review once I receive my deposit (they said it will be refunded within 5-7 business days) and once they send me the bill for the tolls (I counted the number and the cost that I went through).
I personally have had a positive experience so far- make sure to Read your contracts before signing, ask questions, and take pictures!

The staff…. Alex and Lily were very pleasant and professional, which made my rental experience very smooth.

Wonderful experience working with Alex. We could not have had the vacation we did if it wasn't for Alex coming to meet us to return the car on his day off. Would definitely recommend giving them a try.

Everything is perfect except being limited mileage and empty tank.

Great cars, great price and very friendly service. They are honest people who are working hard . I've rented from them numerous times and haven't once had any issues. As long as your honest about the damage you caused or the time you've kept the car over your contact time, you should not have any problems. I see people complaining about being over charged, like any car rental company out there, you will be charged extra for the damages or time/gas charges that you've incurred, simple. I rented a 2017 Toyota Camry brand new, I had no problems.

Chris and the guys at Rent a Wreck in Seattle are literally the best car rental agency I’ve every rented with. I came the first time for the affordable price. They quickly made a regular out of me. Obviously note their business hours for pickup. I’m not sure why there are any negative reviews. I wouldn’t expect any job to stay open late to accommodate my schedule. I’ve rented with them over a dozen times in the past 2 years and have only ever had stellar experiences! I wouldn’t rent anywhere else. 10/10 would recommend.

Personal and professional service - much more so than at large rental counters. Minimal wait time picking up or dropping off. All charges were fully explained. Detailed and agreed upon inspection of the car before I took it off the lot. The car was in awesome shape (as good or better than most other cars I’ve ever rented). None of the pressure or guilt that come along with other rental companies who always try to sell you extras or bully you into buying their own insurance.

Location easy to walk to from the airport (no need to wait for shuttle). But they do have a transport option, too.

Would definitely use again when in the Seattle area.

I am shocked to say this but this car rental agency we better than expected. The office is absolutely disgusting but the customer service was really good. The car was so much better than expected. It’s also pretty convenient to Sea Tec. Just a short walk.

Very very helpful for me. I had rented a car online by a different company. As I wanted to pick up the car I got very rude service and I couldn't have the car. Rent a wreck was a life saver for me. The came and picked me up from my location. The rented me a car and the were super friendly. It was a very good price and the car was like new. The pick up and drop off was very easy and very fast going. Very happy with your service!!

I have used Rent A Wreck in Seattle 3 times and have nothing but good success with them. Alex was very helpful on the phone every time I spoke with him. He also assisted me last week during a difficult time flying in from Boston to attend a family members death in Tacoma, WA. He helped me secure a rental car with short notice so I was very appreciative. Dragon who works behind the counter was also very helpful and professional. He did a thorough walk around the car and gave me concise and specific directions for my rental car use and return. I will be using Rent A Wreck in Seattle for my future car rentals.

This is nearby the Airport-not at the rental center. So it is not an ideal location but a very good value. We received a new car at an excellent price when rentals were scarce due to the eclipse. Chris makes the place work smoothly. He is kind, direct, efficient and gets the job done right. Rely on him and you will be in good hands.

Main takeaway: At all times I felt like the employees were nice, reasonable people who were on my side. I wasn't worried about getting screwed over at any point.

The person at the front desk was always helpful over the phone. The person who was there when I picked up the car was clearly tired but ultimately friendly and helpful. He explained everything I needed to know and patiently answered all my questions.
The car was really nice and only had some minor damage which he was careful to document and point out to me ahead of time.
When I returned the car, the person there (not the same employee) stayed passed closing so that I could drop it off while he was still there and be present while he looked it over.

I had already booked with them, but checked the reviews on my way. I was a little nervous after seeing all the negative reviews, but I also know sometimes the ones who bother leaving feedback are just the angry folks.

I had a great experience with Azar both on my pick up and return, very courteous and professional. I was given a very nice Grand Caravan and everything went as advertised. I didn't find anything odd about the rental agreements I signed and am glad I went with this bargain rental company. Will absolutely use again.

Great price!! I rented a car for a month from this place and the service was amazing. The car was clean and worked great. Great gas mileage for getting around the city. They are Very flexible and helped me get back to the airport when my trip was over. Will be using again in the future
