The Oasis On Lake Travis

My first time here and I loved it! We stopped here after our hike and it was perfect... crowded but perfect! We had drinks and dessert and sat outside overlooking Lake Travis and thoroughly relaxed and enjoyed ourselves. Service was fast and amazing which was surprising with the sheer size of this place! We will definitely be back!

Unique place located in a unique site, with a unique views of the Colorado River, and about 16 miles from Austin!
Their food comes in good portions at a reasonable price. Variety of drinks are available at their main bar, which gives you a good reason to go explore the place and get distracted taking pictures of one of their many whimsical sculptures.
Definitely recommend this place for a quick bite and drinks or simply stroll around and capture a couple of pics!

Visiting and eating at The Oasis is an experience everyone should have when they visit the Austin area. It is snuggled into a hill overlooking the tantalizing waters of Lake Travis, allowing you to soak in the beauty of your surroundings.

Whether you are outside enjoying the warm Texas sun or inside, thanking your lucky stars for air-conditioning, there is always something to behold. The inside of The Oasis boasts gorgeous stained glass windows, intricate (and a little eccentric) wall and lighting decor, and, of course, a view of Lake Travis regardless of where you are sitting.

They have an array of food items that are absolutely delicious. I highly suggest, along with your entree(s), you go all out with an appetizer, a fruity cocktail (or two), and dessert. You can go casual with family and friends or make it a romantic date night. Either way, you will not regret it.

Service was on point, the food was absolutely delicious, and the view was phenomenal. It's everything you'd want from a restaurant on the lake, and so much more. Highly recommended, hope to be back again in the future!

The Oasis belongs to the following category: "you have to see it to believe it". It is truly a remarkable one-of-a-kind venue! Built on a cliff over Lake Travis, facing full west, this behemoth of a restaurant is built like a tree house. 4-5 floors, 3,000 seats, 500 employees, and open terraces with a $100 Million view. The food was good but honestly, was not the focus. It is a style I'd define as Texican, with every dish landing on our table within 10 min max. The staff members we interacted with were friendly and helpful, happy to tell us the story of this 40 year old gem. Sunset was magnificent and the crowds were there to enjoy it. If you are in the area, go check it out. It is worth the drive!

Parking is decent you have paid parking as well as free parking, parking is huge.

It is an absolutely beautiful place for sunset time. The views are fantastic, you can spend hours here. Food and drinks with family or as a couple anyways can’t go wrong. So many restaurants and breweries. Big seating areas you can grab and sit out eating with awesome views of sunset.

Amazing views. I think we probably sat at the best table in the house (table 19). The views were magnificent! Away from all the crowd, and only another table next to us. Food and drinks were great and reasonably priced. Sunsets are priceless…

The Oasis is a BEAUTIFUL restaurant with astonishing views! Arrived during sunset, did not get to sit outdoors since there was a long wait. Nevertheless, we were seated at a decent spot. Matt was our server and he was so kind and attentive, he made our visit a pleasant one! Would come back!

My Friday evening at Oasis Restaurant was phenomenal! The service was impeccable, the view breathtaking, and the food delicious. Despite the quiet ambiance, parking was easy, and the restaurant wasn't busy. I highly recommend Oasis for a fantastic dining experience. Five stars all the way!

We had the best experience! Absolutely stunning views🔥 it was so romantic, food was great, service was above excellence, drinks hit the spot perfectly. Beautiful decor well kept bathrooms. They have elevators to reach the upper levels as well as stairs. The staff was very professional and helpful. Always within arms reach if we needed anything. I love the locks you're able to purchase and hang up on the fence. Loved this location and the experience they offer! Highly recommended 👍

The best place to enjoy drinks and snacks with amazing views of the lake and mountain. The best time to visit is around the sunset to have great views. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Their beers are good, but food menu is not so good.

This is a must-go if you visit Austin. The views are amazing, especially during sunset. The food variety is okay. The food quality is good, but not great. The drinks are really good. The prices are a little bit higher than I would expect for the food, but the views to Lake Travis make it worth it. My favorite dish on the menu is the Combo Fajitas for 2. It's the item that's most worth your money based on quantity and quality.
The servers are nice and took great care of us.
Overall great experience, I go there every time I visit Austin.

Offers the stunning view of Lake Travis, this restaurant serve the promising Tex Mex food! The food is delicious, with the warm tortilla chips as appetizer and snack while waiting your orders being grilled!

As a former resident of Austin, having been a college student here, and having lived here for several years after, and making subsequent visits after that, I've been to the Oasis several times over many years. Something has changed. Oasis used to have the reputation of, it's a great view, but the food sucks.

Even as recently as a year or so ago, we visited and left with that impression. Well, we visited recently and we felt like they must have taken some serious steps toward improving their food. I had the beef and shrimp fajitas, which were tender and flavorful. My wife had the flautas, which she said were some of the best she's ever had. I tried them too and they were great. Very crispy, and the chicken was tender and not dry like flautas often are.

The server was excellent. We were a group of 11 and he was attentive and responsive. No issues.

And of course, the view is amazing. A little sad to see the lake level so low though, but that's the reality.

Prices are reasonable given the view, although drinks are a bit steep.

The drive to the place was beautiful and there’s plenty of parking space. There are gift shops all around. Coming to the restaurant itself, the food is authentic tex-mex and eating with the great view outside made my trip to Austin memorable. Although the service is a bit slow and the food was expensive, it is a must visit place.

Great lake view and great food. The cocktails are delicious. Highly recommended for nice outing for families who can enjoy the view of the Colorodo river while enjoying the drinks with fajitas. I liked their Chicken fireballs too.

Such a lovely place… short of words to describe the beauty of the area… many corners to get amazing pics. Few areas were closed when we visited, don’t know the reason.
