Great park with access to lake Travis. 8$ per person isn't bad at all and it allowed you to re enter and as well as entry to other Travis county parks. Yes it is clothing optional so keep that in mind. Gets deep pretty quickly but I still managed to find a spot near stairs 1 that was shallow enough for me to hang around all day.

Plenty of people are wearing swimsuits, so don't feel like you have to be nude. Bring water shoes! One of the nicest clothing optional beaches ive seen. The water was very low so it was a challenge to get to the water in most coves except for the western end.

If going to a ( an optional )nudist beach / waterfront is on your bucket list. Hippy hallow is the place to go. The hike to the lake & back to the car is steep. Be sure to bring your water shoes, plenty of water to stay hydrated, an umbrella, chair and towel. Clothes are required while in the parking lot headed down toward the lake but one you see the beautiful view your free to be free.

An overlook of Lake Travis. Parking is $15 but we had already paid when we went to Hamilton Pool Preserve so we didn't have to pay this fee. During the winter, there was barely anyone there.

Bathroom stations are by the balcony. Also a great view from the balcony for an even better view of the lake. There is a tree near the lake with a wind chime. It's really relaxing to sit and admire the lake as you listen to the wind chime.

Hippie hollow was so beautiful and clean! It is not too crowded as it is a weekday, so if you want quiet, go on a weekday. The bathrooms do not have doors but are very clean.
REMINDER: this is a nude-optional beach And there will be people in various states of undress.

I went there with my partner and we loved it. You get to experience a very different atmosphere. Mostly open minded people. Fresh water to swim, and you can also dive on some parts. I definitely recommend this place to you(adults of course) if you want to enjoy something completely different. You don’t have to get naked if you don’t want to. BUT keep in mind this is a nude beach.

As advertised, it's for 18 years and older and is a rocky beach park with access to the lake. There is a strong police presence and a paved trail that wraps around the park with numbered staircases down to the "beach". There is consistent boat traffic right past the buoys, which has the added benefit of providing some slight movement and waves to what could be a stagnant waterfront. On the weekday in July that I visited, the water was clear and refreshing, but not cold, and it wasn't very crowded before lunch. It started to fill up off of stairs 1-3 by lunchtime.

Where else in Texas can you run around naked or sunbathe nude? Awesome clean place. Rangers are everywhere to keep an eye on people. I feel very comfortable there.

Pretty rocky but beautiful area. Everyone was very nice as well. However, the absolute gem was the woman at the entrance who explained all the rules quickly, but kindly and with enthusiasm. It felt a very safe and welcoming environment, and enjoying the sun to the sound of the waves was a blissful experience.

Great place! 18+ only. Clothing optional, however, the majority were naked. So, if nudity isn't your thing, this place might not be for you! $15 entry fee per car. The ticket allows you entry to other sections of the lake for the day. I believe the parks are open 9am- til dusk. Drinking is permitted but may not be in glass bottles and must be covered. No life guard on duty, so be cautious of that. Be sure to wear good walking shoes as it's a bit of a hike/climb down to the lake! I had no issues with pervs. Even while by myself. Everyone was friendly! Once you get over the initial shock of seeing and being seen, it feels completely natural. However, you can report lewd behavior to the police. I personally only saw one guard, and he was in the parking lot haha. I have read multiple reports of people being arrested, so definitely don't risk hanky-panky here. Only complaint would be the litter. It kind of took away from the charm. Although,I don't blame the park for lazy adults not cleaning up after themselves!!! If you bring your usual lake/beach material, and an open mind, you'll have a great time. Will definitely be back! :)

The turn sneaks up on you if you aren't watching for it. Also, they only accept cash or check at the entrance for a pass. Come on a day with moderate overcast for perfect solace. There are two trails/ paths. Don't take the left one that goes up along the mountain if you have issues with cedar. That path is full of the stuff. The path on the right next to the service entrance gate l follows the coastline by the water. There are also restrooms along the path (thank gawd). To get close to the water I think #8 is the best stairway to take along the trail.

i looked up nudist area near me and based my Austin trip around Hippie Hollow! I love being nude and feeling comfortable in my own skin, it was nice seeing other people enjoying themselves as well. the water was super clean and the weather was perfect! it is a little hike on rocks to reach the water so come prepared with water shoes. I also highly recommend bringing chairs as it's completely covered in rocks. we made some friends and memories to last a lifetime! can't wait to go back! for sure my new spot. 🎉

First let me say if you are looking for a 'beach' this may not be the place for you. The park is almost all large rock all the way to the water. With that said it is still very enjoyable without the worry of sand getting where it shouldn't. Beware that much of the area will resemble rock climbing which is an unusual experience when you are nude to say the least. As others have mentioned i would highly suggest wearing some decent water safe shoes that provide protection for your feet as well as good grip. The lake itself is some of the clearest water I have ever seen in a lake or river. There is a very nice and wide paved walkway that runs almost the entire way through the park with a couple of restrooms along the way. The restrooms stalls do not have doors but this really isn't the place for those that are shy anyway I guess.
Overall I really enjoyed my visit and loved the freedom of enjoying nature au naturel while also feeling safe in the company of like minded folks.

A different kind of lake experience. It has good views of lake travis. You can see mountains and The Oasis from here. The lake is big. Boating facility is available here. Also waterplane ride is available.
This is not some kind of beach, so no sand here. You will find big rocks and boulders here. You can sit here, have drink and spend relaxing time.
It has ample parking space. Entry fee is $8 per person.
It can be bit crowdy in spring time. Also people tend to reserve spaces by keeping their belongings. So be mindful while sitting anywhere.

Note that this is clothing optional beach, so consider that before going there.

Grate experience with kind fellow park goers. No pressure, creepy behavior, or issues had. There is a heavy police presence to prevent over crowding and underage visitors.

Signs made it clear where clothing was and was not optional.

Beware this is a park and not a sandy beach! The water’s edge is lined with rocks and tent can be slippery. But there is a paved path from the parking lot making easy for everyone to access.

Really recommend this place for anyone looking to loosen their drawstrings near Austin.

Best park on lake Travis, just get over your undeveloped body-negative attitude and enjoy the experience of sun, air and water on your naked body. It's amazing, liberating and good for you.

My experience at this nude beach was so much better than any other nude beach I’ve been too. People are very nice & did not have anyone creep me out at all, plus I was alone. The only downside is more rocks going across then beach. Lake Travis is always beautiful though! ☀ it was decently crowded for a Tuesday night & most people were not nude, but there were plenty that were too!

So this was my first time experience something like this. My wife talked me into it. It was her birthday and it was something to check off our bucket list. We didn't experience any old creepy guys staring. It was a mix crowd of people all different shapes and sizes. Everyone was natural like they were clothe
