Great people clean environment and I would bring my animals back here 100%. Parking for Seattle is great, however, it is a pretty small lot. The people who worked with my animals were great, when the newer person didn’t quite know how to hold the cat the senior person took over very quickly and handled the situation. Had they not done that this would be a very different review. Overall, I like this place, but I was only there once as I’m traveling back to Colorado soon and was only in Seattle for a year.

We had to leave our old vet because they just got rough to deal with. Ballard Animal Hospital was recommended to us and I couldn’t be happier. They show that they care, give honest opinions about care needed, and will work with you on treatment and not just jump to the biggest most expensive option. They are very responsive and accommodating. The front office staff is so nice. They are helpful and great to talk to while you’re waiting. 11/10 veterinarian.

We are extremely grateful for the high level of expertise, compassion and care from Ballard Animal Hospital. We had tried a few local vets before them. the first always gave us lectures about fleas. The second, we liked, but they gave our 16 year old Persian a shot for arthritis (not really needed) that ended up ruining his quality of life for the 6 months he lived afterwards.

When we moved to Ballard animal hospital, the staff was very sympathetic and caring, and the doctors were very experienced and don't recommend unnecessary treatments. Nothing fancy, just good solid care. We stayed with them, and they with us for close to 30 years. We no longer have pets, but if we did, they would be our first and only choice.

Staff is friendly and great with my dog. The doctors clearly care about their patients. I'm confident that I made the right choice with Ballard Animal Hospital.

BAH has been so great! The office team, nurses, and doctors are all amazing, kind, and you can see they really care for their animal patients. You can request appts on their site (or call) and they are very prompt getting back to you to schedule. They are communicative (e.g., procedures, treatment options, diagnoses, etc), responsive with requests like forwarding or receiving paperwork, conscientious of cost, and transparent with estimates prior to procedures / invoicing. As with all vets at this time, they can be booked out a bit but they have drop off urgent care appts that may be available sooner. It’s been a pleasure bringing my dog here and she LOVES them all!

I can't say enough about how much we love it here. The entire staff is kind, efficient and truly loves your pets. They make sure you are making the most informed decision and have all the information regarding your pets healthcare. We have 2 cats and one dog that see them and I would not dream of going anywhere else. Thank you Ballard Animal Hospital!

We love the entire staff at Ballard Animal Hospital. We have used them for the past 7 years for both of our dogs. They are very responsive, compassionate with us and our dog Annabelle, and thoughtful in determining the right diagnosis and treatment plan when we’ve had issues arise. Our last baby who passed a couple of years ago developed seizures suddenly, and Dr. Howe diagnosed her and referred us to Veterinary Speciality Center of Seattle. Dr. Friedberg (who recently left the practice) was wonderful in helping with our 15 year old dog who has had a range of issues and is also being co-treated at VSCS for vertebral disk disease. Now, Dr. Howe has taken over for Annabelle’s care, and we couldn’t trust her and the entire team more.

They are transparent with the fees and always put our dog’s best interest first and kind to me and my husband.

We love Ballard Animal Hospital. The receptionists, nurses and doctors are all very kind and hardworking. They are very up-front about pricing and they always keep you in the loop. Very easy to make an appointment online, and they were even able to squeeze us in for a same-day appointment recently. My cat Stanley love his friends at Ballard Animal Hospital and we would recommend it to anyone :)

They are great here! Always so kind with my dog and love him - they are also very cost conscious (asking before performing procedures, being transparent about procedure costs) and take the time to make sure I understand any issues and the required treatments.

We feel so fortunate to have found a wonderful team at Ballard Animal Hospital. We know our precious boy is in great hands in their care.

Ballard Animal Hospital took care of our two retired greyhounds for two years and the staff are amazing. The team here is thoughtful, proactive, and easy to work with. They always went the extra mile to research specific breed needs if they didn't know.

We've taken our dog here for 6'ish years. Even driving in from North Shoreline since we moved. Nothing but wonderful experiences for us and our dog. She thinks it's the Snack Rave, which is hilarious. In general, they do not over treat. It's just our dog's personality. The staff are super sweet and accommodating. Easy to online book, great communication! The days are now Monday-Thursday, as there's a general shortage of Vet Techs (#protip if you are looking for a career path 😂).

This is a really great local vet. They take such good care of all the animals and give great advice on how we can look after our dog. Really appreciate their great service and follow ups. Never any problems finding parking in the lot at the front. Next door are some good cafe and food options if you have a bit of a wait.

Dr. Howe and the entire staff here are amazing. They listened to my concerns about my dog's health and took it seriously, and suggested the necessary tests and procedures to rule out any major issues. They also checked in before running any tests so I didn't have any surprise costs. Once the tests were complete over the following days I got prompt updates with the results. They clearly love animals and make me feel like my dog is in good hands.

The staff here is incredibly kind and informative. We had to say goodbye to our senior cat here a couple weeks ago and the staff made the visit as painless as possible for us. They were supportive and kind. We will always use this clinic for our furry friends from here on out.

I have taken my cats and dogs here for over 20 years. They have always been kind, considerate, willing to explain when I have questions and willing to help when things get tough. I appreciate their following up on my pets after appointments. They’re great at being people and vets.

I have an extremely anxious dog who responds to stress with biting, yelping, and trying as hard as he can to escape. He’s wary of strangers and visiting the animal hospital is always a super stressful experience for him, and for me! Everyone at Ballard Animal Hospital is incredibly kind, gentle, patient, and willing to find creative solutions to make our visit a little less of a nightmare. Special shout-out to Dr. Nate for keeping his calm and confident demeanor when my dog is losing his mind, and to the admin folks (Deb?!) for always being so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!
