CRAFT Beer & Wine

This is hands down the best place to buy beer/liquor on the island. These folks are amazing. Great selection that changes, fine quality liquor. They seem to somehow carry the classics and new stuff all the time!

I’ve never had a bad beer from here that I didn’t like, not sure if that says more about me and my beverage preferences, or their selection and decisions around what to stock. Worth going in 100%

Everytime I visit Alameda, I made a stop here. Friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable staff. Tasty variety of local, regional, and global beer, wine, and spirits.

Love this Alameda treasure! Dan & Brandon always so helpful recommending new wines with the flavor I love and within my price range. Great wines from all over the world.. and a floor to ceiling selection of craft beers for every taste. And now a huge selection of high end spirits...great for gift giving inspiration.

8 months later. This place has so many good dark beers. Berkeley is under attack with the storm and I'm sitting here in a power outage drinking the original pattern brewing midnight awakening imperial Stout and feeling very grateful that it was still cold...10/10

I did NOT know this place has a huge beer cooler inside as well as all their delectable wine selection. Staff was super friendly and if you're lucky, there is parking right in front. Would love to see some SOCAL beers included next time I'm in there though! :D

Good craft beer selection. A lot of the items were from Oregon and I had never seen them. They also have an amazing selection of harder to find spirits and wines. I really enjoy coming here as the owners are friendly and love to share about the selections they carry. Keep up the great work!

My favorite bottle shop in the area. They have an awesome selection of beers with individual descriptions of flavor notes. The guys who run it are friendly and knowledgeable and it's obvious this shop is a labor of love.

Great collection of beer and wine whether on a budget or splurging for gifts. Knowledgeable staff. Free tastings every Wednesday.

Several visits, I really enjoy their beer selection. My wife is from England so she is hard to please with beer, but she loves this place, Bombardier I think is the one she craves. They also sell a pineapple rum that is very unique and good...and I'm not the biggest pineapple fan. Keep up the good work.

I had a fantastic Greek wine at a restaurant and looked all over the Bay Area as to where I could buy it. 'Dan' at Craft not only knew the wine but had tasted it! He ordered some for me and a week later called me. I recommend them to everyone.

Not sure why someone gave this place a 3, they must be a retail manager, who feels there is always improvement needed at the bottom level. Can't give a 5 star that will show weakness to the District Manager. This place is the opposite, it's the top level. Stopped in before doing laundry, because I am an Adult, stop judging me. I left with good Sour Beer, which is what I came for and the people there were nice. So 5 stars.

They have a lot of craft beer from local and small-scale brewing companies. Don't know much about their wine selection, but it's there, along with a good number of Port. They've recently expanded their selection of whiskey and spirits that you won't find most other places. The owners are always there to assist, or guide, and they've got regular tasting events.

I love this place. The guys who run the store are super knowledgeable, kind and not snobs! They know their wine! They know their beer! They know whiskey(y). My only wish for them is that one day they'll be able to stay open until at least 8:30 ;)

Great little shop. We found our bottle of aspalls blush cider, and the nice person working set our order aside in the fridge so it was good and cold and safe for us. We will definitely be going back.

This place is awesome -- the selection is very well curated, so you really can't go wrong with anything you get here. The owner is very nice and special ordered an amaro for me!
