Looks like a great one stop shop for grocery shopping. I haven’t walked through all the isles yet but one day I will :0) lots of promise and good prices.

Used the self checkout and everything went smoothly.

They really watch you in the store really closely I wasn't trying to run out I was just trying to pay like a normal person

I love the store because I'm handicapped and I always have a handicap cart for me you go to these other stores around Oakland area don't too many have the handicap carts but every time I go here there's a handicap park for me right in the front and I get a handicap cart

Picked up a few things for the house. Really good prices and lots of lines so never really a long wait time. Sometimes it is no baskets available.

Always clean the workers was helpful and very informative when asked a question

No complaints, seen some crazy stuff in this store as far as people stealing. Saw one guy put 4 tall beers in his pants but he walked around the store and I left so I don't know if he got busted. Also saw 2 older ladies run more than 20 items , probably like 30 or more items, trough self check out and put the items in the cart without any bags and it was crazy how they did this, because they went real slow wail the cashier was close but as soon as she was helping another customer they hurried scanning the items. They finished scanning and acted like they were going to pay but as soon as the cashier turned her back to help someone else they walked right past security and out the door. How do you get an amount of $612 worth of stuff trough self check out is beyond me but that was the unpaid amount on the screen when I got to it lol. The cashier and security guard scrambled tonthe door but the ladies were in their vehicle by then. Probably gone lol.

Needs more.gluten free stuff but ok. It works. Miss my Kroger's

Great place! Saved around $60 in a full shopping kart compared with Safeway! Hell yeah be back!

I really don’t get the complaints—I have to think they’re either outdated or trolling. The store is large and clean and has plenty of parking. The carts are nice and big. They offer great coupons. The produce seemed as fresh as any grocery store. They have everything anyone would want, in regular brands and a wide selection. Every type of milk imaginable, including pea milk—not my speed, I’d never heard of it before and never need to again, but it’s an example of the fact that they have everything. And the prices are great. Not crazy, not too low to be true because the stuff is expired—it’s not—but basically on par with other stores when they put stuff on sale. The place was sparkling clean and fully stocked on a weekday morning. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There were not a lot of cashiers so I can see it being slow, but it wasn’t for me. Really long hours. Recommend.

Best prices, great selection

I'm giving it 4.5 stars. The rank and file employees are awesome. Couldn't recommend more. The night time manager is not. Although not directed at the public, publicly he has displayed arrogant, aggressive contempt for employees. It has caused massive moral decline amongst employees as well as set a bad ambiance. Several employees have left the company due to it recently. I support this company(and Save Mart) as the employees are union represented, they are a California company(founded in Modesto), and even during the last covid surge they stayed open later than anyone else. I work odd hours plus covid doesn't care about time and it's less packed at 10 at night so that's important to me. They have the second best price in the area, which is important as it's too expensive already here, especially for the working poor.

Employees are trying to do their job. They do a good job. The employees are friendly and helpful aswell as knowledgeable about where to find something if I can't. Just want to say thanks for keeping the store clean and stocked.

It’s a good and affordable place to shop your grocery. The things I don’t like about these kind of stores are the level of cleaning and customer care. I know the ppl shop here are not rich but this should not really count. We are still human and we are making business with you, so consider this as an advice to improve. Regardless our color of skin, how much money we have, what languages we speak, etc WE ARE HUMAN and no difference of people living in Berkeley Hills

It's a good place to go grocery shopping. Great quality food & produce. Great deals. Reasonable & affordable priced groceries. It seems a short-staffed. And the lines can get long at times. Sometimes, there's only 2 cashiers. It seems short staffed.

Update:
I don't come here often, so I learned tonite that they started closing at 10pm 7 months ago. Google still said they were open til 12am. They are not. I submitted an edit.

5 yrs ago.Never had any issues here. They are the only place I can get karoun honey Greek yogurt. I love that stuff. :-)

I'll give this place five stars because every time I've been there it's well stocked, the employees are nice, and the prices are still the best around.

Clean well organized grocery store, produce seemed fresh. The spacious layout is welcome making it easy to get carts throughout to store. This store layout reminds me of the old Food 4 Less, not too sure if they are associated.

Lottery tickets and scratch offs are available with a vending machine up front by the exit doors.
