Proof Lab Surf Shop

I changed my review from 3 to 5 stars. They have improved on staffing people who are attentive and helpful. Shopping here has become easy and enjoyable. They have tons of products and the employees know how to guide you.

Really well run surf shop with great people. Board selection is quite good and staff is very knowledgable and helpful. They know how to serve a very wide range of surfers well from the best to beginners. Probably the best shop I've ever been to actually.

Just a long overdue thank you to Proof Lab in general for being such an awesome community member, and the staff in particular. We buy a lot of stuff here and our two kids have been involved with skate and surf camps they sponsor over the years. But today, Cody in particular really came through with a customer service issue that went above and beyond. I had bought a new soft-top board for my son for a surf trip to Panama, the board delaminated terribly after a day of use. Super bummed. Went into the shop to see about a warranty and the manufacturer was being difficult in not wanting to cover or replace the board, which surprised me and everyone at Proof Lab since this was a very well known and top surfboard manufacturer. Cody was embarrassed as to the manufacturers handling of this and said "let me just give you a replacement, we will eat the costs, I want you to be happy". It made me super uneasy as I didn't want this to fall on proof lab as it was not their doing. But Cody insisted, and as karma works, as I was walking out with the replacement board, the manufacturer called back to tell Cody they would be sending the shop a replacement board. Seems even the manufacturers know that Proof Lab is a super high integrity operation and they wanted to keep them happy too. They know how to treat their customers and community. Thank You Proof Lab!

We stumbled onto this shop on our way south from Bolinas. OMG!! Maybe the best surf shop I've ever been in. Great inventory, selection and fair prices. Picked up a sweet new wetsuit, since no one else seems to have inventory. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Great experience!!

I go here to get skateboard parts and more and have amazing customer service and they will help me with anything!!! This is my go to place for gifts and just daily parts for boards and clothes! If you love skating like me then you HAVE to go here! They also have an indoor warehouse the you can go to for skating!

Super friendly staff set me up with my first board and it was a great experience. Noah was super knowledge, stoked to help a beginner, and took a lot of time to explain everything. This is a big store with gear, apparel and a cool, laidback atmosphere. Support you local surf shop!

Employees of Proof Lab are the best. Always made me feel welcomed and are never obtrusive when you want time to yourself exploring their extensive surfboard selection. They make you feel right at home with friendly conversation and incredible depth of surfboard knowledge. Noah and Cody helped me out this past weekend and were awesome dudes, answered all my questions and went above and beyond in helping me check out a Misfit Beach Cloud. Cant wait to come back! This shop is great. It is the best surf shop I've been to in Nor Cal and beats most small So Cal shops. What I love about this shop most is the lack of ego from the staff when it comes to helping out customers (in this case me). I'm not the most talented of surfers, but Nate (the owner) and his staff were not pushy at all when it came to selling me gear or a board. In fact they sent me away to work on some fundamentals when I was very willing TO buy. This is a shop you can trust to take care of you and that has your best interest in mind. I've since bought two boards over the past couple of years and a various other gear. This shop has earned my trust and loyalty and I would send anyone there.

Great shop with very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Jack and Joe went above and beyond to help me and my wife get dialed with boards, wetsuits and cloths. All of their Proof Lab apparel is great! Grab a ton of their shirts. Thanks - highly recommend this to anyone in San Fran for a day trip!

A rare five star review for a clothing store. This is a fantastic surf shop. All sorts of unique clothing. Not inexpensive, but you get what you pay for.

Amazing selection of clothes , jackets and accessories for coastal surf life. I have bought several Filson coats there. They have events and always new lines of products too so I always stop by.

Pretty much my go to for board selection...they carry the best brands hands down from Bolinas to Santa Cruz.

I literally drive from Half Moon Bay specifically to come here.
