I received an invitation through Strava for a local run in Mill valley and decided to go and check it out. everyone in the store was nice and helpful plus the running group was amazing. As a woman runner, it's refreshing to walk into a running store and see women behind the desk who are knowledgable about products and gear, and educated on each brand's value system. McKay does an exceptional job managing this store and is a hub of knowledge regarding women-led running groups and events. Love this store and the impact the staff are making on the running community!

What a great experience! Tucker and Mecque were awesome. They knew what I needed based on my running patterns, picked out numerous shoes to try and helped me get the right ones. I am so grateful for their level of service and positive attitudes.

This is a very special place - it is a specialty running store run by runners - people who run. They know runners and they understand the needs to runners. They stock a nice mix of gear that is well suited to the unique running of Northern California (think cool temps in the summer and steep mountain running). I joined some runners for the Mill Valley store's weekly Saturday run in the Marin Headlands. I met like-minded runners and was greeted by the staff and found that their promise (obtained from me a week before by phone) that there would be runners at all paces was absolutely true. If I lived in the area, this would be my running store for sure.

The Mecca of all running stores. The best store on the planet. Worth a trip to the Bay Area just to go! Group runs saturdays at 8:00a!

Picked up a new pair of Altra Olympus kicks today, and McKay was a delight! She was super knowledgeable, and I was thrilled to hear SFRC is doing more to cater to women runners in the community. I look forward to joining them for a run sometime soon!

The real deal. Great selection, great staff, great customers. Stop wasting your time at the big-box stores and go talk to these guys. Really.

I have visited SFRC so many times for last minute race stuff and packet pickup. Everyone there is pretty much a top notch runner with emphasis on trail. The advice of their staff is excellent and they have a fantastic assortment of gear for a small store. I don't know how it ranks with stores in SF because I always get out of SF ASAP and come to Mill Valley for races. I would drive from SF to visit them, though.

First time I went a few years back there was a shelf that had six or eight western states trophies on it. I knew then it was definitely a special place. Jorge and Brock Landers are two of the best in the best in the business for fits and training advice. It feels so much better to support this shop than to support the big corporations. Thanks SFRC!

Great local store that has phenomenal customer service and are super friendly. They know the local trails, they have a well curated stock- shoes, clothes, and gear- and have tested it all out. Finally they have fostered a community and make you feel at home and part of the family.

This is a proper running store! The people here know their stuff and are friendly. Despite the size of the store they've got a great selection of shoes and gear. I agree with those who've said it's worth driving out here from the city. This is by far the best running store I've found in the SF area.

This place is more a community than simply a running store. Every time I go in for a vest / poles / shoes etc., they work with me to find out what the best option would be + even have given me pointers for what trails to run or how best to pack my poles in my bag. Won't find a better running store in the bay area

Great running store just minutes away from the Tennessee Valley Trailhead. The store is staffed with very knowledgeable and talented trail runners who can help you gear up for the right shoes, hydration pack/gear, etc. They also do weekly Saturday runs and host trail films and events from time to time.

SFRC is the best there is. Every time I have been in the various employees I have dealt with have been very helpful and very personable. They have a great selection of all the hottest shoes and other top apparel brands. In addition to the store, they are very involved with the community and have regular running events.

The textbook local running store. Seriously just steps from some of the best trails that Marin has to offer. The staff has world class knowledge of all products in the store from bars, bottle packs, to socks and of course shoes. If you can head across the street grab a tasty espresso at Equator at Proof Labs!

What a great trail running community! People are very supportive. The extremely fast people are so humble and easy going.

The stuff they sell is high quality but a bit pricey.

Great service. These guys/gals know what they are talking about and are themselves successful runners, which doesn't hurt. A big plus: deeply involved (if not steering) the local running community with group runs, events, elite athletes talks, etc.
