Comfort Inn & Suites West Des Moines

Our family stayed here March 1st weekend, 2024, due to the Hampton giving our room (as well as many others, to guests needing an extra night). What a TREAT!! Tiara (I hope I spelled her name correctly) was INCREDIBLE! We stayed in room 204 it was spacious & clean (former hotel employee here). Anything we needed to know Tiara was able to help us with & since we had several families at the hotel, she was very accommodating.
We spoke to the Manager during checkout Sunday morning & thanked him for the accommodation. Very nice gentleman.
Every staff member we encountered was kind and courteous considering we were "dumped" on them last minute!
There is an Urgent Care next door, as well as a very nice Hyvee.
We will DEFINITELY stay here again!!

This has become my go to hotel when I’m in Des Moines. The staff is amazing! I’m always struck by how kind everyone is. The rooms are quiet and clean and it has everything I need. Stevie, is an amazing front desk staff. She remembers my name and greets me with a smiling face every time I come! Thank you for the comfort experience.

I trust Comfort Inn and Suites and this hotel reinforced that. When I checked in and asked about restaurants in the area the desk lady was very helpful and gave me 4 options written on paper. My room was clean and the shower spacious. I did not use the pool or fitness room, but peaking into the fitness room I saw the various cardio machines, some dumbbells, and an adjustable bench (hey it's a hotel not a Gold's Gym). Breakfast was simple but still good. They have the basics from yogurt, cereal, toast, muffins, eggs, sausage, and waffles. Coffee and water are complimentary at all times of the day and night.

I was in a king handicap room. Room was clean. It had a walk-in shower. The bed was very nice. Had good night sleep. Large breakfast area that was adequate supplied for a mid week stay. Biscuits, sausages (no gravy), waffles & cereal for the main choices.

Clean and simple. Worth the extra money compared to the cheap hotels I'd stayed at to save a buck, and just for that reason. What I've found is this: covid changed the "free breakfast." Expectations need to change as well, unfortunately! But it's not impossible to get some fruit, juice, bread, and a waffle. Coffee was just disappointing but again, haven't found good coffee in a hotel since 2020. Luckily a coffee shop is right across the lot, and an amazing bagel shop 3 minutes away! So clean has always meant a lot when you're staying in a strangers bed, now more than ever, and they keep it clean. Additionally, good job to employee Bailey! You were cleaning and keeping the front desk atmosphere happy and kind! Noticed!!

I am enjoying another great stay at a Comfort Inn. Your brand is truly one of my favorites of all times. Always a comfortable bed and always full controls of my climate. No bagels at this location for breakfast but still the usual hot eggs and sausage with oj work fine for me. A little on the pricey side compared to other Comfort Inns but always a great room. Wish to travel and live out of Comfort Inns for a living.

This review is from Aug 31, and I'll be honest. this hotel is brand new. The hotel lobby and rooms are top notch, as you would expect from a comfort inn. breakfast staff and setup was subpar, but that could be due to lack of guests and being new. also some minor construction/maintenance issues, like unfinished drywall and doors not closing properly, but I'm sure that they will be addressing room by room now that major construction is done. I'm rating 5 stars to make up for the other guest that rated 1 star. he was complaining about concrete, yet he rode right thru a blocked off area. seems petty. give this hotel another week or 2 and all minor issues should be resolved. oh, no hot tub, only a pool.

The hotel was so clean and well designed!! We had a great experience. The staff were very welcoming even when we got there extremely late at night. 10/10 would stay again!

Stevie, the night MGR was outstanding. Great personality. Very efficient and direct. She also made sure I understood all the benefits of staying.

The location is fantastic.

This was a super nice hotel for the price. The beds were very comfortable, the room was clean, the lobby was nice, they had good amenities, and the bathroom and shower were huge. I would absolutely stay here again!

Clean new rooms in a modern hotel with friendly and professional staff. Breakfast, while not normal was above par for what I had seen at other Choice Hotels recently. Convenient access to restaurants and interstates makes this place a good choice.

Amazingly clean, modern, and fairly priced! We found the staff the evening we checked in, and the morning we checked out to be very pleasant and helpful. Would recommend to anyone, and will stay again if in the area.

Its a newer hotel.Got a king suite first floor, room big and clean. Front desk worker was nice and polite

The lady at the front desk was very helpful in giving us suggestions on places to dine and we had a great meal at Biaggi's Italian restaurant.

Nice... near 80 hwy catch to all areas in desmoines.on road to mall area too...quiet hotel w starbucks & hyvee foods right nearby if u need so..nice & clean...VERY NICE & WILL RETURN!👍

This place is new and so nice. Clean rooms. Awesome shower and towels bigger than a napkin.
