Great layout! Ample seating indoors flows easily between tables and the bar area. Also a dance floor/stage area where a quality cover band was belting out 80s tunes, satisfyingly to these ears! 30s and 40s+ crowd this night, exactly what I was looking for. Service was ON IT! A drink was spilled at our table, making quite a mess, and before any of us could get up, the server was there wiping it up. None in our party had food.

Terrific sandwiches, pizza and wings. Great staff and service.

An event hosted by The BROWNS BACKER team here was awesome. A bar tender they called Thor was great and a gal named Kelly was a pleasure to speak with. Free pizza a couple of blue shots and a BROWNS win made the effort to go here all worthwhile. A place I'd visit again.

Drinks are strong. The foosball table is awesome. Popcorn to snack on. Friendly people. Great atmosphere and they are extremely kind to those who leave their cars in the parking lot over night when the choose to not drink and drive. I've always felt safe leaving my car there, knowing they aren't going to tow my car and it won't be messed with

Convenient location tucked away just off of Hickman & 86th. Easy to get to and far enough away from the main roads to provide a little separation from the traffic. Pool tables, patio, Touchtunes, roll up doors allow you to sit inside and still get the outdoor experience or sit outside on the patio and still interact with others inside. Friendly and fun atmosphere! Great local bar with a good menu featuring delicious pizza, wings & sandwiches if you're hungry.

Stopped by this past Sunday, had a great time with friends and family! Pizza was awesome and best drink specials in town! Highly recommended

Has a decent variety of liquor pretty much the standards for what you find at most bars. Pool table,bar and table seats. Some card games if your so inclined and a music selector machine don't remember which kind. Location is good right by Hickman and 86th. Sometimes have two for one drinks

Good friendly environment. Welcoming to outsiders, very reasonable prices, clean atmosphere, draws in a decent crowd regularly, lots of good lookin women come here, . I'd recommend this place to anyone that wants to go out a d have a fun evening out.

I'm fairly new to the Des Moines area, and after trying out several different pubs, I must say I LOVE going to Tapz! The first thing i noticed, the place is SO CLEAN!!! The atmosphere is wonderful, and they have some HUGH TV's to watch your favorite sports...I'm not much of a sports fan, and the thing I like, they always have music playing if there's not a big game on! And their happy hour is WONDERFUL! Between 4p-6p, you buy a drink, they give you a poker-type chip, that you can use to buy a drink with anytime, not just during happy hour.
I've been going there for only a month or so, and I have met all of their bartenders, and they all have wonderful personalites, and give great service with a smile. And I like their clientele too. Also, if you need a bite to eat, they have a small bar menu. I had their fried green beans last time I was there, and they were awesome! I will definitely go back to Tapz! I feel as if I have found my neighborhood bar!!!

What a great place to unwind,play some pool, watch a game and have some suds. The staff is very accommodating. The bar is very clean. The food is some of the best bar food around. Try the egg rolls.

A great place to hang for live music and a good bar crowd. All ages 20's ,30's , 40's ,.. until your too old to drink... Lol.. ( it's a real thing )..

Had a great time here when visiting family in town. The regulars were fun and warm and I will definitely stop in again.

Fun place, plenty of TV's to watch all the games. They have food but didn't eat so not sure what's available.
