Valley West Mall

Very pleasant environment. Clean and quiet. Was able to get a wheelchair to use while waiting to see Santa and a nice place to spend a relaxing afternoon shopping. Love the chocolate shop here as well, and the Kay jewelers is one of the best stores here. Everything I am here I stop at Kay's to get my rings cleaned that my husband bought me, and they always offer to clean all my other rings. The people who work here are always really friendly, they always chat with me and tell me to bring all my jewelry in to be cleaned for free. They are really professional and very thorough when they inspect the jewelry and are very honest; which is a quality well appreciated. Really recomend this store.

Also visited the Bath & Body Works store, and their employees are always very pleasant as well. They always answer all of our questions and have great recommendations. Love both stores in this mall.

The mall may be empty and outdated, but I love the architecture of the mall and how it looks! It’s so fancy and I have many great memories of the place. I suggest that they update the mall a bit, but keep the 70s look because too many remodeled malls are too modern and boring, and I think they should bring back the family fun nights where kids get to jump in inflatables and do crafts. Doing these things might attract more attention and get more shops in the mall! I also miss the Games & More toy store, and I miss the candy clubhouse!

Went on Black Friday, and everything was great! JC Penny had great deals, the sports store had a wide selection, Chipotle was fast and tasty, and the bathrooms were clean! The mall may be somewhat empty, but it is very well maintained. The building has beautiful architecture inside. Hope it can make a comeback if management finally gets their act together and makes unique experiences similar to what Merle Hay is doing. Would visit again!

Mall is kind of dead. It’s kind of sad. The day I went there was the 15th of March and it was fairly busy that day. Lots of folks chilling in the food courts and some lil kids playing at the play place. Auntie Anne’s closed and that makes Elmo sad!!!
The mall itself is really pretty though! It was slightly dim but the mall was pretty. I loved going to family fun nights and getting food at auntie Anne’s. Miss cookie wrote a good review here too so make sure to check that out too.

Lots of empty spaces. The mall is very disabled friendly. Bathrooms were clean and accessible. LensCrafters was easy to get in and out and the people were especially helpful.

Surprisingly good selection of shops & restaurants! Nice skylights and water features

One of my favorite shopping mall. It has really a wide options of brands that you could choose from. Staffs were super friendly and helpful. Facilities like the comfort rooms was clean and tidy. Will always comeback to shop here for my daily needs.

Really enjoy shopping here. It is much more enjoyable than Jordan Creek Mall.

I love shopping at the Cherry Picked! So glad I found it. I love the vintage vibe and the customer service is very friendly 🙂

Indoor play area, train, and children's Museum for the kids. Lots of food options and friendly employees.

Small,but still very interactive and the staff was very polite with my needs and questions.

We go here for the Play place and the children's museum. The play place is small but my children have the time of their lives there. And on top of that, it's never busy.
The des moines children's museum is AMAZING! If you have young ones, go!

Thanks to all the maintaining amazing retailers, Valley West Mall is holding it's own. The Christmas Displays were beautiful and the amount of shoppers seemed good. Please keep patronizing this historic and iconic mall!

A lovely mall with a fairly decent location. Why it's having financial problems is beyond me. It had arguably better stores and a better location than any other mall in the metro, until Von Maur jumped ship for Jordan Creek Mall. It's still top two. Check it out folks.

Always clean. Malls are dying down but I can see valley west is trying to survive and I appreciate it. The addition of the temporary features like spirit Halloween, the drive in, and even paintball last year have been really great. Keep bringing in new stores! Love stopping at Stams, Rue 21, Victoria’s Secret, and blaze!

We were here on a Saturday at 10am go noon. We visited the Easter Bunny and my 3 year old rode on the train. He absolutely loved it. The employees were kind and helpful. I would recommend the Easter Bunny experience

It has a good variety of stores for young and old alike.
