Black Friday shopping at Valley West Penney’s was a great experience! There were several staff members restocking, straitening up merchandise and available for help. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I enjoyed it so much I went home and sang the praises to my husband He then decided he would go if it was that great, so we went a second time! LOL The check outs were all staffed and the lines moved quickly…I will definitely go again next year!

Stopped in on a long shot to find Euro pillow shams. Staff is friendly and helpful. Actually found some on clearance. that I think are going to work. Gavin went up and above on customer service when he ran after us to return my husbands phone he left on the counter. Appreciate good service!

Mark in the Jewelry department was so kind and helpful. He was very personable and was happy to help us find our engagement ring. Such a nice guy!

Carol… As is entered JCPenney Carol asked if I needed help finding anything with a great big smile. Her gentle kind words made me feel right at home. I then asked for help upon checking out. Another customer needed assistance and she immediately sent someone to help. As long as people like Carol work at JCPenneys in Des Moine we will continue to shop at this store. Thank you Carol!

Visited on Black Friday, and there was great selection and amazing deals! Saved over $200 on $250 worth of clothes! Store was kept clean and tidy. Ample parking.

Incredible staff and awesome sales. The beautiful full service salon is incredible. Love the photography studio. Haven't used the custom windows/blinds but they look top notch.

I haven't shopped here in a long time before today and I am glad I did. Great prices, friendly staff and a clean store! The ladies at checkout told me about the rewards points and discounts available today. It reminded me of the times when I used to enjoy going to the mall.

I had to make a stop to return an item not my regular store. The 1st clerks I ran into said I was in the wrong part of store but they were very helpful sent me on a shortcut 2 very nice ladies.

Great sales, well stocked, and super nice customer service staff at the register. Line moved quickly. Lots of merchandise for holiday shopping but able to get through just fine. Hoping they stay at Valley West forever!

I had been fruitlessly searching for two to three weeks for shoes to go with the dress I had picked out to wear to a special wedding. When I walked into Penney's, the absolute perfect pair was on display - right color, right style, right size, even the ideal price! I got many compliments on them at the wedding, dinner and dance!!

Let me share with you a story of an Angel named Selina that assisted us at the Jewelry counter on Thursday September 8, 2022
I accompanied my sister to Jewelry to help her find earrings to brighten her day. My sister is bravely battling breast cancer and wanted a dangling pair of earrings to distract from her hair loss.
We were waited on by Selina. Towards the end of the earrings purchase, Selina suggested a scarf would be pretty. My sister was hesitant as neither of us have ever worn headscarves and certainly had no idea how to tie them. Selina offered to get a scarf from the rack in a different department and assist my sister in the fitting room. Within minutes Selina taught us 3 different styles. I witnessed my sister feeling transformed with her new earrings and beautiful scarf. We both hugged this Angel Selina who in a very short time brought joy, comfort and love to our experience. Ms Selina, you were there on that day for a Divine reason. I cannot thank you enough.

Quality merchandise at very reasonable prices

Absolutely magnificent! Staff was the best ever! They helped get stuff we needed, made good suggestions for future purchases. Could've gone somewhere else, but we'll continue going to penney's. No doubts.
Still a good store. Some things I was looking for on sale were not in stock, obviously because this is a memorial day sale. I did find othe other articles that were similar, and decided to purchase them, instead.

Love their sales. Got a couple of swim suits and can't wait to try them on.

The store is very nice and the employees were very helpful. I was there for several hours replacing a lot of items lost during flooding and several times I had employees chatting with me just to be kind and making sure I found everything I needed. I also appreciate that they are working with flooded impacted families they are one of the very few stores that are willing to do so and it makes it a lot easier thank you so much.
